OH MY have you ever wrote up your whole blog post and did something and wiped everything off and had to start over ?? That is just what happened to me this morning ..OH NO!! I am talking a very long blog post too .. So maybe this is Gods way of telling me That was TO MUCH!! Ok I am starting over now , Just a little shorter maybe .. HUMMM.
Well It seems I am back to my cool Caribbean cs Hee! Hee I made this card for Gabby ( Ruthie’s daughter & her birthday is Tomorrow ) I used cool Caribbean and regal rose ( Gabby’s middle name is Rose ) and black along with the designer series paper loves Me .. I also used my girly girl stamp I bought a long time ago at Michaels in the dollar bin along with a rub on transfer for the SWEET in the top left corner .. I also used the First in Fashion stamp set from SU!.. I punched a tiny hole in the g’s and added silver cord to hold the dangles, And I added Dazzling diamonds to her card right before it went out in the mail yesterday , Cause gabby is a glitter girl like her mom and me ..
I wanted to share some bad news with you all That we got yesterday .. Hubby was laid off from his job .. He went to sign the union book once he got his papers and he is 1400 on the book .. Whats that mean .. Well there are 1400 others ahead of him to get a job call and some of the 1400 have been on the book for 2 years and more .. OH no BUT the silver lining is that there are jobs that seem to be opening up for Electrical union members for the Casinos in Detroit and Ford announced something about a billion dollar thingy also .. so hopefully there will be Hundreds of jobs opening up soon .. WHEN? I could Not tell ya… The sad news hit us like a ton of bricks yesterday .. I think I am in shock still over it …. But there is NO work in Michigan right now and his job kept him as long as possible .. we will be filing for unemployment on Monday and sub pay will start in about 3 weeks or so .. So very very Thankful I have my club meeting tonight Nothings better than stamping with friends and have a blast .. Last night Hubby and daughter went on a youth retreat with our youth group from church for the weekend and I had high hopes of stamping last night BUT to be honest Stamping took a back seat to my heavy heart and flowing tears .. BUT we have to pick ourselves up by the boot straps and move forward right ? and todays a new day .. When one door closes , God will open another.
I didn’t realize how many Plucker’s there are .. It seems with my question yesterday it looks to be 50/50 Thats interesting HUH? Hee! Hee! I am sorry if I miss lead a few of you that took my question on yesterdays post to be for a blog candy contest .. This was not my intent My blog candy contest with a Q&A twist will be approaching soon so stay tuned ..
I have also made a decision on to cancel my SU! web site .. seems my blog has now replaced this avenue and I’m really not sure if many are even visiting it anyway , so as of the end of this month I will not have my SU! web site any longer .. I have been thinking about this for awhile now and well it seems the time has come .. I had also thought about canceling my web shots gallery BUT seeing I have over 2500 or more hits on there each month it seems you all are still enjoying my web shots gallery , So I will keep it for another year at least ..
I am going to try and make valentine goodies today for my girls tonight ( Hopefully ) Its amazing what Stamping can do for your spirit HUH? Besides praying of course ..Thank you for peeking in today and sorry for the delay in posting .. Hopefully I can upload this now , Cross your fingers everyone ..
Until later … Happy Stampin!!

I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I am praying for a brighter tomorrow for your family. I’ll keep my eyes and ears open for any new opportunities for your husband.
Adorable! card. yes, there have been many a time when stamping is just the ticket to a bad day or heavy heart. Hope things get better soon.
Awww. Sorry to hear about your husband’s job. It has affected so many people. Your right – it seems as if everyone in Michigan is losing their jobs. It’s a sad state right now.
But God is faithful. We have been through job losses/scares every year for the past 5 years – and each time God has provided above and beyond our needs. He will do the same for you.
I’ll be praying.
Blessings.
So sorry to hear about your DH. Stamping is so wonderful when you are feeling down. I have had the problem of having to start a blog post a couple of times because for some reason or another I seem to navigate away from the page. I will keep your family in my prayers during this time… and like you said God will take care of you.
Dawn,
I’ll send up a prayer for you and your family that your husband will find the job of his dreams very soon! God is good, as you already know, and He will see you through this. My husband and I have been down this road many times – it’s so hard!
Tomorrow is a great day to have a birthday! I should know – it’s my birthday, too! I’m turning 44. Wow, that 50 birthday is just around the corner!!!!
Oh, Dawn! That is SO yucky! I’m sure there is a job here if you want to move by me! :0) I know it’s not really a time to joke but please know our God is really awesome and he can do what he says he can! Let me know if there is anything I can do from you..even this far away! ~Lorie
Dawn, I am sorry to hear about your husband’s job loss. My husband is looking at the same thing in our future (it could be any day). Any time I think of having to go through a rough time, I love to read 1 Peter 5:10 that says, ‘And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.’ I just love that it’s so reassuring that it’s just “a little while” that we have to suffer!! Anyway, I will pray for him and your family and that your stamping time will be bountiful!!!
Dawn,
I am sorry too. I feel for you . But everything happens for a reason. I know it is painful though. My hubby lost his after 9/11. He found a much better job. It took some time so patience will pull you through. Take care,
Dawn
Hi Dawn!
So sorry to hear about your hubby’s job. Like you said “When one door closes God will open another” and I will keep you & your family in my thoughts & prayers and hope something becomes available for him.
Loved the card you posted today on your blog! My 13 yr old was admiring it when she walked in and seen it. She is all about purses & shoes! Have a great time making those Valentines Day goodies and can’t wait to see what they may be!!
Wendy
Dawn,
I am so sorry for your family. Having a spouse out of work can really be stressful. I have some very close friends going through this right now! Take care of yourself! Plus, I am tagging you! Check out my blog!
Oh sweetie, I am so sorry about your DH’s job. I will pray for you and him! I’m sure something will come along soon, he is obviously a good, hard worker who wants to provide for his family and companies are always in need of men like that. I just pray it won’t be too long until he finds a new job! Hugs and let us know how he gets on!
Dawn,
I’m so sorry about your husband. I’ll be sending positive thoughts and vibes your way. I know that something will work out for you and your family.
Hi Dawn,
I share in your ‘pain’. My DH got laid off last week. Pretty scary considering Michigan economy BUT… I know that God always has a plan, and He *will* take care of us. I’m also a firm believer that when a door closes – another opens.
Hang in there. I’ll be thinking good thoughts and saying prayers for you guys too.
Hugs,
Renee V.
Dawn,
I read your blog everyday because you are such an inspiring and positive person. When I come here I know my day will be brightened not only by your beautiful work, but by your beautiful heart.
I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I hope your DH will find something soon.
Sharon
I am sorry for the sad news and. I will pray that this is a short-term problem.
Keep your head up Dawn. I truly believe a positive attitude can get you through almost anything.
Thanks for all the joy you bring to my morning.
Your stampin’ friend,
Terri

Dawn, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am about your DH being laid off. I will certainly have you in my prayers. I pray you will not discontinue your blog as I look forward to it each morning and don’t know what I would do for inspiration. Maybe this will grow you SU business altho I know it can’t replace what your husband loses. I will be calling you later either today or this week sometime.
Love, Cheryl
funny how things happen for a reason even though we don’t see it right away. You could sign him up as a demo then you both could stamp together! JK
