Howdy everyone : Todays the day !! Blog Candy give-a-way  announcement  of winners .. Did you miss me  not posting  this morning ? I sure missed posting  wee  hours in the morning  But I am here Now ..  I must   tell you all  a few things 1st before we get to the winners  Ok so Bear with me ... Todays card is  the 1st one I made with my  Brand new cuttlebug embossing  envelope( Thanks )   and This is will be  on the way to very special Blogger friend .. You see I would  had never met  this  special person  unless I started my  blog   .. and  she also has a WONDERFUL blog HERE. Angie  is her name and she  bought me this   Cuttlebug embossing envelope  It arrived  yesterday and I had to  go make something  with it .. I also told Angie that whatever I make  with it 1st I would be sending to her ..  Well I have  some other goodies going her way  and I suppose it couldn't come at a better time cause she is  not  feeling very good this weekend ..(  why not jump on  over to her blog  and  send her well wishes ..) Ain't nothing worse than having a weekend to stamp and not  be feeling  good HUH?  CYBER {{HUG}}} TO ANGIE .Thank you so Much  for  your gift girlie .. I will be using this embossing   envelope  alot I am  sure ..  I will be  going to post office  on Monday and  getting  your package out then  also ..  Thank you so Much ..

One other thing I had a few of you write and tell me   what I may do to help fix my  cell phone ..You all are just peaches   the Great news is that it worked like a charm .. No need to take it in yesterday Praise God ..Thank you  so Much for your  emails  and tips ..

OH yes .. I wanted to mention these Graduation cards are not for MY daughter .. Whitney is my Friend Linda's Daughter.. Linda  purchases   cards  from me all the time ..  Whitney had  always told Linda she wanted me to make her invites  for her Graduation .. Me and Hubby have only one Child ( Jessie 14 yrs old )  I am sooo not ready for her to graduate  YET let alone ready for her to start drivers training .. OH my .. BY the way Here are some photos of my Daughter  at that competition  she was in  for Piano  and  choir  a week or so Ago ( remember me mentioning that )  I Received  these awesome photos  from my  friend Susan  who passed them on to me   this past week.  This one is of her and her Piano Teacher Mrs Amy   they both are soo cute  HUH?  ( Amy loves to stamp too  Wink Wink ...HI AMY  )    and this one is of Jessie  sitting at the piano ( I guess this one needed  no explanation  really huh?)  she  took a 2nd place rating  in the  competition  and  we  are all very  happy with that .. OK  Now on to the drawing of these  Graduation cards .. the 3 names  drawn are

  YUP you read the title of my post correctly .. On Wednesday  I  finished  up making  all of Whitney's Graduation  invites .. BUT Once I got done I had  counted them all and I only needed 100  BUT I  wanted to make her 5 extra  But I ended up making  8 extra  sooo BLOG Candy for you  today I will be giving  the 3  extra  that I made  away to 3 of you  today .. Thank you  so Very much  xoxoxoxo   Today I got to sleep in a  wee bit longer  cause Jessie has NO school today ( parent teacher  meetings  )  Its probably a good thing  cause My eyes  from crying  were not doing so Great  by the nd of the day  yesterday .. . Today I must run and  get m another cell ph I am still under the 1 year   thingy  But last night hubby sent me a text message  with his photo  and  since  then MY  phone will not stop beeping  this  terrible  tone   so I will be doing that this morning  and then Jessie and I will be at the church for most of the day we are working on   a Easter Program "Walking in the footsteps of Jesus " It is set up in 12 stations and  something  about  walking to each station  and  wearing  headphones .. Not to sure  what I  am getting myself into But I am excited about  doing that with everyone. Then tonight is my  Stampin  class  at 7:00pm  here at my  home . Tomorrow its back to the church with more preparing  for the program  and then my club meeting  tomorrow night. Rich called me  last night  when he was sitting on the plane in Washington  DC  getting ready for his LONG flight of 13 hours to Kuwait . seemed his Spirits were up so That was encouraging to me  The  sad news is the  text message  and video he sent me on my cell phone  last night I will more than likely lose since I know I will be getting a new phone  today  and they cant transfer  photos and stuff ONLY my phone # database YUP thats the pits  for sure ..I  was hoping I could  send them to Jessie's phone  and then once I get my new phone she could send it back to me BUT My phone  will not budge from the  blank screen and  that  terrible beeping ... so its not looking like I  will be able to  keep the text  goodies he sent last night  BOO HOO! anywho .. Thank you all again for  yesterday  I can at least save all your wonderful  comments  to re read  over and over again  on those  rough days ..

I will see you all again at 2:30pm tomorrow ( Saturday ) with a new post and  to announce the blog candy  give-a-way winners for  the 3  graduation  invites .. Still  when I look at all those cards   in the box  It amazes me they are all done and that I   actually  made all of them .. God is sooo GREAT and isn't Stampin Fun?

Many tears today !!!

This is  the shadow box I was telling you about yesterday  That I plan to make  a few of to send to hubby to hand out...   This teddy bear set is  actually  My moms , I have the old  Button  bear set so I  combined  them to make this   cute shadow box card . The bigger Honey jar and the bees are from my  button bear set and the  teddy bear and small honey jar he is holding  is from my moms  new set I used the  heart background stamp  from  Beyond the basics  and  used my white gel pen to color the hearts in . Dazzling diamonds was added to the bees wings ,  honey jar  and  the 2 buttons on the  bear .. You can find my  shadow Box  tutorial   HERE and also here on Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial  . Can you  believe I didn't use cool caribbean  and or pixie pink .. I did use one of my other Favorite colors though for my shadow box .. Certainly celery  along with whisper white  

Today is the day My honey bunch is  leaving for Iraq. He is  flying  out   this afternoon .  He was confirmed  of his flight last night . I have already talked to him this morning  and he  has to be on the  shuttle bus  at 5:15am  this  morning   with  his Luggage and checked out of his hotel .. Pretty  weird  that he is actually leaving for Iraq today cause My Dads  birthday is today  also  He would have been  63  years old today.. So many things  left to say  Before the phone calls will be  gone for awhile .. He has a 3 hr flight to Washington DC  and  then  on to Kuwait  for  a few days   for more training,  then he will be leaving  for  His    actual  location  where  he will be  for 1 year . Today I am not a happy camper .. seems  to be a down day  for  so many reasons mostly  sad  cause I miss him so much  and I wont be able to talk to him  after today for  awhile ..I do want to give you all a heads up  for tomorrow  cause its  gonna be a  blog candy give-a-way  day, Nothing HUGE .. More details tomorrow .. Thank you all for  your prayers ..

Just Delightful !!

I made this card  for a couple birthday bloggers  a few days ago .. &  Both gals  have already received their  card so thats  good ...  I so love  the delight in life set from Sell-a-bration  and Love  my  2nd favorite SU! Color  Pixie pink  I paired it up with close to cocoa and of course had to use my cuttlebug   envelope "Happy " along with my  mega giga  circle punch  which I also love . Then added my  most favorite  thing  "Dazzling Diamonds " to the word HAPPY  at the bottom of my cuttlebug  pixie pink  layer. Last night  both of  my favorite shows were on so we  used Tivo to tape American Idol  and then watch Dancing with the stars  I must admit I  didn't watch much of  DWTS  because I was  stamping .. Good excuse right ?  actually I was  making   those invites for Whitney's graduation  ..Good news  I am almost finished  with them .. MY goal is to have them done by this weekend so I can give them to  Linda  for Whitney this Sunday at Church .. Thats the goal anyway .. I know I would not be as far as I am without the help my hubby did  by  punching out all the  caps  and  embossing them , along with cutting out all those  frames  .. He  had everything I needed   to add to the cards  so Now I can  somewhat   zoom through   when I  get to  the part of  assembling   them.. " He is so wonderful "  actually he knew my hands were hurting  back then  too so maybe he took pitty on me  and knew  working that punch  would be really hard  on this gal s Hands .. I also  got to stamp  2  birthday cards  last night  along with  a couple  shadow boxes I plan to mail to my hubby.. He is  just the most thoughtful man ever .. before he left he said  when I send him cards  don't write in them cause he is going to give them  to someone else over there  to  mail home to  their sweetie pie ..  so  I am planning on making  a bunch of  shadow boxes  ( which I will post soon )  and sending them over with his Lap top  in a couple weeks . Of course one will be  for him with a letter inside BUT I will mail extras  of the shadow box for him to hand out ..  Isn't he the  sweetest guy ever ?  I am sure once the cards start arriving  the guys over there will be looking forward to Rich  getting his package to see if there are any cards  in the  goodie box for them  to send home Hee! Hee!  to cool huh? ..    Tonight is LOST YIPPY! and Pizza night for Jess and I   and of course amercian Idol  result show  also .. I  really have so Many favorites ... Lakisha ( did you know she is from FLINT Mi.. 3 cheers for the home girl ) , Jordan, Gina  Chris , Blake  all my  favs  were   so good last night.. OH what they must be  feeling ya know  to get this far ... I am  soooo excited for them .. OH my the  weather here in MI the last  few days has been MARVELOUS DARLING..  Rain  is expected all week  BUT the temps are awesome .. Love  going out side  and not having to wear my  clippers  on my shoes .. Today is  gonna be a sweatshirt day But  Hey gotta take the not so good  with the  Great  right ?

My cute Overlooked Pig!!

Look what I must have missed posting awhile back .. this super cute tri fold  using  Very punny  set  again using one of my favorite colored  Cardstock .. This one must have slipped through the cracks  and didn't  get posted on my blog .. so better late than never right ? Don't think you need a special envelope  for  this type of card cause I have mailed out alot of these  tri folds in reg sized envelopes . I really love this sell-a-bration set from this past January and February . This Piggy  was one of my favorite images from this set . This is what it looks like   when the card is closed  of course 

But this is what it looks like opened .. so many goodies inside. I  really enjoy making these tri fold  cards. You can  see the tutorial directions by Beate HERE  .. you must score them in the same  direction  on each end For this card to  have a slight twist when opening .. I have added  what my tri fold looks like flat to help you with  this   visual also  notice  the  ends  scored the same  direction  Its just the  folds are folded  in the opposite direction . This will all make sense with you make your  tri fold ..

Jessie was home sick  from school  yesterday, She  was feeling 100% better by mid afternoon.  Rich called  last night   Not totally confirmed  yet But  it looks like he will be  leaving  on Thursday  of course this could change  but thats the word so far , He made it to the post office yesterday to mail  home  his  2nd piece of Luggage  that he over  packed  by 50 lbs .. he literally  mailed the  suitcase as is  through the post office. I   don't know if you all know this but  all he had to do was duck tape the suitcase closed and  add address  as long  as it  measured  130 inches or less   in length +  around the suite case    we can do this Pretty cool huh?  and it was less than 30.00  to mail it home  from Houston  TX . a few gals emailed me yesterday  about what window sheets I am using ..I  am using SU! of course .  I had purchased a few extra packages of window sheets  awhile ago  before  SU!  Ran out or   dropped the vendor( really don't know what  the problem  was )  .. But Don't worry though the news is SU will be bringing the window sheets  back   just not sure when as of yet ..Hopefully soon right ? I   need to make a trip to post office myself  this morning then  deliver   my club orders  from last week( new goodies in the house  WHO HOOOO  To sad its not all for me ..  I did end up getting the small open end envelopes ,  designer series  paper  +  the new  Round tab punch in the  SPRING MINI    so many super cute things we can do with this   punch I  am excited to use it .. ( hummm maybe today  just wish my hands felt better ).

No Mr Crabby Pants today ..

Its seems Mr. Crabby Pants  has taken the lime light and my poor  Glorious gift has taken a back seat since they both arrived at the same  time ...But  Not this weekend . I finally used my Glorious gift  set  and Believe it or not Mr. Crabby pants was no where is sight . at least when I was making this  beauty ..I wanted to  make  something different  But my old faithful cool Caribbean  was still around. I used  apricot appeal  along with cool Caribbean( of course )  Hee! Hee! . I also used my coluzzle  to cut the  oval  window out . On my window sheet I  stamped   the flowers from Glorious gift  in Staz-On white  and   then also added some of those cute butterflies ( you can find the  tutorial HERE ) The  Saying is actually stamped on the inside of my card  with Basic black  ink where I added a butterfly  there also .. Here is what  Just the front of  this card  looks like with out  seeing the inside . All in all a very simple card to make ..  Its really Great when a stamp set seems to make  your card project go smoothly  and that's just what  happened  when this card  was  being made .. There  is  Something  I really love about this  flower set . When I was adding the   white gel pen centers to the  flowers on my window sheet I could actually feel the  stamped image under the  pen  as I added the  doted centers .. It wasn't as smooth as when I added the dots to the  window  border on the apricot appeal .. maybe this  is the case when ever we do stamp on the  window sheet But I never noticed that before..  Just really   cool .

Another Blogger Rak showcase !!

Howdy everyone ... Look what I got yesterday in my mail box  This card came from all the way in Colorado  and the beautiful card designer is Jovita Is this the cutest card  or what ? I  really  never knew what the hype was over the Bella stamps lately ..  But   with my 1st ever Bella  RAK  from Jovita  I can see why  everyone is falling in love with  these  cute  Bella girls .  This one has to be one of my favorites in this line   Maybe because I'm looking at it in person , HUMMM I don't really know . cause Like I said I  really  didn't see what was so great about them . of course this was before I  received this  adorable card from Jovita  .. I love  the color  combo she chose and  I really love  the little  bunny slippers   and lets not forget the curlers in her hair .. all of which Jovita  added a  special touch of shimmer  to the centers of curlers and the coffee  steam .. ( Which of course my  photo doesn't do it justice )  Thank you so Much  Jovita  I love  my  Bella RAK ( at Least I am assuming its a Bella  girl )  Please clarify.. Shopping day  yesterday was Great I  got new PJ's from my mom ( I was in dire need  of  new PJ's especially for my  upcoming hospital stay in May  ) Mine have  cute lady bugs all over them ..  we all  went  to the  show also yesterday  and seen Premonition ( sp?)  with Sandra Bullock  Love her as a actress ..

Rich called late last night  his day ended  at the headquarters around 10pm  BUT today he has a Day off Thank goodness ( he finally gets to sleep in )  his plans  for today  high on  the list is  sleeping in  and then getting things together to ship  back to me  on Monday . He mentioned that Haliburton has over 53,000  people over seas   working with the military  WOW thats alot isn't it  . Last night  chat with hubby  I can tell he is  sooo nervous about going he also  mentioned he had to shave off his Goatee  on  Friday  so that the gas mask  would fit his face better .. last night he said  its already growing back  now  and yes he plans on   letting it grow back in WHEW I love  my mans Goatee . He has finally met another electrician  going to the same location as him  this weekend .. I think he may find comfort in that .. and supposedly this  man has been through all this a couple times .. He also mentioned to Rich that the location  they are going to   they will have tents  to live in 6-8 men  in a tent . I guess this man has been there before. even though its a  air base for  the Army .. Its the Marines that  secure the base He will be finding out very shortly  on his  date to leave .. 

We are getting close to our New pastor  coming  he is suppose to be  packing up  and the moving  truck is  gonna be there on the 2nd  of April and if all goes   well he  could be preaching Easter  Sunday  YAHOO!   Friday I found out that my RA doc  can do my pre op  clearance   so This will all take place on  Monday the 9th  which this saves me some money having to do another  other visit with  another doctor  WHEW!! I have  to do another EKG  and blood work and a couple other things ..  funny thing is if I would have done my  left knee within 3 months of  when I had my right knee done I would not have to  repeat this procedure .. OH well  the time wasn't right back then I suppose  Just very Thankful Dr Levitt can do my pre op clearance .. since I have been with him over 6 years now ...

Yesterday I did  do  some stamping and PLUS I  cleaned up my stampin room last night ( when Jessie was babysitting )  .. WOW what a feeling that is  to have that all nice and  clean again  even if it is just  for a short time ..  Wink Wink .. I  went and picked Jessie up  early from  her  school  competition  thingy yesterday since she was baby sitting   for Ruthie last night  She didn't get the results from her  piano  so we will find out  on Monday at school  how she  did .. either way she said  the  part she was most  nervous about was when the judges were  going to ask her to play a scale  ( she doesn't know all of them so she  was hoping it was one  she  knew and IT was ) they asked her to play   the  "C" scale   which by her accounts is the easiest  of all and  then  she proceeded  to play her  song . Of course  the one thing she talked about most was seeing all her  friends .. Sorry for the late post  today But  between  getting up extra early  yesterday morning and then going  to bed  late last night  it seemed I need  a little  extra shut eye this morning .. Have a  Super Saturday  Its gonna be a fun day today   Jessi , my Mom  and I  are heading out for a  shopping day   today  and then  all of us  are  going out to   a late lunch . Jessie  wants to get some new clothes  she has been saving up for .. Ya know teens  never have anything to wear now-a-days  I am sure you hear that line also ..  Thanks for  peeking in today and I will see you tomorrow .

Cute box !

  Here is a  cute box I made  using the 5 in 1 envelope template .. I used  the simply scrappin kit " Party Pieces " I love the way it  turned  out  Plus I even got to use my crop a dile  on the sides  with my eyelets I added .This box  is much larger  than it appears in  this photo. I am trying to decided  which box to make for my next class  on  the 30th .. This one or another one .. I really like this one  Because it  shows  another super  great  project using the  envelope template .. I guess I will have to wait and see  what kind of  vibe I get  closer to the  class time .. This is another reason I love stamping  cause  there are sooo many  things we can do with  stamps ..

Richard signed his contract yesterday  and  he is a Little tired ... But all in all he is ready to go,  hopefully  today he will be moving to a  different hotel   that moves him closer  to headquarters and with  alot more people  since he is out in the middle of nowhere  right now. Soon he will get his  departure day and time

Jessie has a super early morning today( me to apparently since I am posting at 4:45am this morning YIKES!!) she is leaving with her school for  competition  she needs  to be at school at 6:00am this morning to leave on bus  .. She will be competing in Piano  and choir she is excited since she gets to see some  of her  friends from  the past . Thank for stopping in today and I will see you all tomorrow ..

Terrific Thursday !

  YUP another MR Crabby Pants .. I really don't know why I  started  calling  this cute crab MR Crabby Pants  cause  really He isn't very crabby at all  actually he always has a smile  HUH?  Had to use my  Cuttlebug  again on Pixie pink.   I took  my  sponge  with craft  white on it and rubbed it across the  cuttle bug background to make the  words pop out  even more .. Yup still lovin my cuttle bug .I also used my  mega giga  scallop sq punch as a layer  behind my  Mr Crab  and then added  doodle dots  even on Mr. Crabs  pincher's  with  some chocolate GG ribbon  added with staples  too .

Yesterday I had my   knee  appointment  and I am all set for my other  knee  replacement now. Date is  set for May 10, 2007 This is the  earliest  he can get  the hospital I want .

Hubby got his  medical  results yesterday evening (  He called  me right before I left for church just to tell me   ) and  he is good to go .. Now he just  has to finish  up this week with classes  and etc.. and also  wait on  his departure  date  and also  his APO address .

So  did you all watch LOST!! OK I want to know How does John now about the Submarine?? is the Island really talking to him and also  now that  John blew  up the  only  way  home for Jack & Julia does  that mean The others  are  going to keep  them all ( Kate , John , Siede, Jack ) there as hostages  again ?   and  by all accounts John  such be dead  after falling out of the building of course being pushed out  the 8th floor window by his Dad  .. and  Whats with  Johns  Dad is on the island now  too ? He  Just appeared  in the special  box  OH MY  this is really freaky !! and Daniel  finally sees her daughter  Alex ( which is also Ben's daughter) YIKES! I can't  even imagine  them two together ..  so Funny  when John was telling Ben he was  going to blow up the SUB  Then of course  it went to a commercial  Rich called and said WHHHHHAAAAAT SUB ?   We always  talk  like we are asking the TV  show  the questions  do you all do that ..  so even though He  wasn't here watching with me and Jess  I thought it was cute he called and said the same thing I did  at the TV but  he had to call and say it to me ..

Yesterday was such an exciting day  for me  with SCS Tutorial  posted   and   then the tutorial I had on my blog seems  you all like this card  too ..It  May seem a little  tricky BUT  trust me it really isn't ..  Once you make one you will be hooked on these  super cute   secret panel cards ( I also added my secret panel  card tutorial  and also the butterfly tutorial to the left side  of my blog under DAWNS TUTORIALS for you to be able to locate it easily in the future).. Yesterday   I got so many sweet emails from  you  about congratulating me on my tutorial  on SCS   some even seen the SCSnewsletter  before I  officially  did  since I was at the doctors office ...  Thank you  so much

1st day of Spring today  YAHOO! Lost is on tonight YIPPY!  and More  HUGE news But I'm gonna wait and see if you all know what it is ..Shhhhhhh ( I will be back today with the HUGE announcement )   and  today a New Tutorial  to make this card  which I call  my Secret panel card .. Not sure if thats what the  original name of this card is But thats what I am calling it.. I actually have 2 tutorials  today but for the  sake of  not uploading   tons of photos  I will point you to where the other tutorial is Okey dokey ?  for my  secret panel card I used pixie pink  & apricot appeal  along with whisper white .  This was actually one of the card I had sent in for the  display stamper  for SU!  convention ( which I was not picked for )  Today is to great to let that get me down !! also once you  start viewing the photos  you will notice a few numbers not appearing this is  because I   am trying to keep the amount of photos  I have to upload on my blog  down to a minimum  But all steps are listed in  written directions  a couple without  actual photo  sorry  But I do think you all can  still understand  the  tutorial  even if a few photos  are not shown .. I believe in YOU!!  and  KNOW YOU CAN DO IT ..  your gonna love it !! and so will  the receive of this card you send it too  ( wink wink )

Ok  lets get  started  1st you will need  2 pieces of cardstock ( coordinating colors )  cutter , scoring tool, scissors and of course your  stamp set of choice I am using  burst into bloom, all year cheer I ( its your Day ) and  Be Happy  set ( smile )  I will be  showing you how to make this card  and decorating it  is up to you .. Okey dokey ?

#1 Ok cut your 2 pieces of cardstock  Your main card ( pixie Pink) will be cut at 5 1/2" X 8" and the  2 smaller  pieces ( apricot Appeal ) will be cut at 5 1/2 X   the notch  right before 2" ( not sure what that measurement is  right now ( Help Diane ) #2  score your main card ( Pixie pink )   at 2" 4" and 6" 

NEXT   fold  your  main piece ( pixie pink  so it resembles a W  as shown in photo #5

Next   pinch the center point of your "W"  this is where  you will be  using your scissors  to make 2  slits   try to keep your cuts in equal distance apart as shown in  photo #6 cut your slits up to the score line

OK now open your card  and lay flat  this is what your card should look like now in photo #7

Ok Next  take your small 2 pieces  ( apricot appeal ) and  weave  them into  your slit cuts  as shown in photo #8  making sure to make them  opposite each other .. weave one  down and up and the other up and down  as shown in photo #8  This is what you should end up with in Photo #9

Ok next we need to activate your secret panel card  to activate   you will need to   close your card as shown in  photos # 10    once you close your card  you will be looking very very closely  to your center  of the card where the  weaves pieces are ..  look for a  Small slit  running  down the  center  It may not pop out at you But it is there.( I promise )   Once you  find the slit  pry   them apart . Look at photo the next  photo for a closer view on what to be looking for

OK now your card is activated this is what it should look like  .. and ready for you to  send .. Yes this is the way you will mail your card  to its  lucky  receiver . Now  you must   add  the word PULL on  each of the sides  so the receiver  nows to  actually pull the 2 sides to make your secret panel card work  I have added butterflies to my pull  words just for  a special touch. (  keep reading  down for my   link to  my tutorial  on my butterflies ) 

Ok  so thats it ... Now decorate  your secret panel card . This is my finished card   ready to be sent  out

On to my other favorite subject MY HUBBY ..  Hubby called last night  and  yes he got all 26 shots  I had 12 of them listed  But  most I never even heard of .. But just a few are Yellow fever , TB, Hepatitis series, Malaria, rabies,  etc...   he got all shots mainly in his  arm he said  this morning he isn't  to bad in the sore department . today he gets the results of  all that happened yesterday  and more videos , classes and processing will be done  also today ..  Thank you for all your  emails on your prayers  and thoughts  for us ..  you will never know how much this  helps me  to know your all praying for us .. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ..

Hey  don't forget to watch LOST tonight .. YIPPY! so excited about that  and Hubby will be calling again tonight  even  more excited about that .. wink wink

The next  super cute and awesome card came from  My very own  stampin queen  and Great friend Gina Wrona  she sent me  this  super cute  and  of course  she  used  one of my  most favorite sets" Unfroggetable "   for mailing her  class money to me .. Thank you Gina Baby .. 

The next beautiful Card I received on Saturday is   from Lori Jane  she sent me this card  with her scissor charm money inside .. How  cute is this bear  and I love that SWAK.Thank you  Lori ..

WOWZIE How blessed am I ?  Pretty  awesome  to get such beautiful cards in the mail from all of you .. and I cant tell you  how your  cards came at just the perfect time   when I needed a  big card  {{{ HUG}}}} . You all are the bestest !!

Today I plan on getting my next  tutorial  photos taken for  all of you  and  hopefully if everything goes right  tomorrow will be  my tutorial on  what I call my" secret panel card" .. This card is super easy  and   so much fun to make and of course even  greater to give a way , You wont want to miss it ,  all you will need is  your cutter, bone folder for scoring  and of course your scissors  and   cardstock in  2 coordinating colors. I will be using  pixie pink and  apricot appeal  so get your goodies together  and be ready for tomorrows tutorial . Gonna be fun!!

  I talked to Rich last night  and today he has to catch the shuttle bus at 4:15  this morning .. OUCH thats early  especially  in TX  time .  Today he will be getting his physicals, 26 shots ( yes 26  talk about double OUCHIE!!) Poor honey bunch .. If anyone missed the bus this morning they were going to be sent back home .. Don't worry Rich  was up  when I called him this morning.. He wanted me to  call to make sure he was up  at 3:30 this morning  and  he was   up with bells and whistles on ..  Thanks  for peeking in today and I will see you tomorrow .

Remember when ???

Remember when I was telling you all about how my hubby loves playing with all my stampin tools  and How much even my  hubby loved  my cuttle bug Well todays  project is from one of his  ideas  he was playing around with  a few days ago .. Is this the coolest thing  you have ever seen ?  The background of my doggie card is aluminum foil . What he did was  adhere  the foil  to  the front of a piece  of cardstock  and run it through the cuttle bug .. I love Love Love the way it  turned out  it looks so masculine  looks like  a huge piece of metal  HUH? Such a Great Mans Card  KWIM?   kinda like a metal plate or something .. He is so clever  if I do say so myself  Hee! Hee!  for the doggie  mat I just punched out a mega giga sq scallop punch  sq and  cut it in half and  then  applied it to the  2 corners, all in all a very simple card ..

P.S notice my 3 rd new watermark  Yes I have 3 new watermarks now  and I love them all  Thank you again Cindy and Beth  now its  a hard decision  to make  to which one to use  on my projects ..Hee! Hee!

  I also  want to share with you the cutest photo of my  3 favorite people OK really only 2 of my favorite people  and my favorite canine person in the following photos , BUT Yes I really think my bowzer is  human sometimes .. Bowzer loves laying  like sandwich  meat between  us.. are these photos cute  or what ?..   Yes my 3 most favorite people in the world ..

Thank you all again for all your emails , Prayers ,  words of encouragement .. It really means sooo very much . You all touched my heart   in so many ways words can not express..I really know in my heart it will be all ok its just alittle rough  right now .. I'M still alive ...

Hi everyone :  well it seemed to be a really rough morning here at our home.. everything  went as planned and he is already in TX and called 2 times  once to tell me he made it and the last call came right before evening church tonight .. everything is  going ok  as well as to be expected I am sure it  may get easier  as time goes But  the 1st day always seems to be the worse .. Jessie is having a hard time tonight  mine was this morning  maybe it was because once I talked to him it felt  alot better  so Jessie just called him a few Min's ago and she seems to be alittle better also ..  he  has said  there are hundreds of other men there  actually 3 groups and he is  in the group with over 300 men .. OH MY  even  have men from Germany there  HUMMM  whats thats all about I really don't know ..  I am off to  get my PJ's on and crash on the couch with Jessie   we have been up and & running since 4:30  this morning and we are a bit  exhausted  and overwhelmed with  Big  red swollen eyes  so hopefully a good night sleep with help  both of us .. Thanks for thinking of us today and your prayers ..   see you all tomorrow

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone .. Pinch pinch ~ No Green card today But I did use my   new "Expressoly for you"  stamp set  again .. and   did you notice my other new watermark I got ? I got this one from BETH I fell in love with the paisley watermark  when I 1st saw it .. Thank  you Beth  I love it .Like I said It seems I am addicted to watermarks  lately . for my card today I  used the Loves me designer paper along with what else Cool  Caribbean  and close to cocoa cardstock . My image  has been embossed with cooper  embossing powder  and just highlighted  in a couple placed with my blender pen and cool Caribbean  ink.. the greeting was also embossed in cooper .. and then I had to add  doodles . My card has  already  be  sent to  someone for his birthday .. Which I am sorry it got out late . I also  used my dauber  in  cool Caribbean to highlight  the  expressoly for you  greeting..

We all went and seen the Ultimate  Gift last night .. It was Great  and  such  a  awesome  message . The movie is based around these 12 gifts of

Work, Money, Friends,Learning ,Problems ,Family , Laughter,Dream , giving , Gratitude,  the gift of a day , and the ultimate gift of LOVE ...Of course  I didn't write down each gift as it happened in the movie I  stayed and watched the credits ( which I hardly ever do ) and  they  put the gifts up in the credits  thats when I wrote them down ..This movie is great for teenagers and up  ..  The Main character Jason  plays the part  so Great and  he really captured the essence of how  young people think & act  today. I highly recommend you  go  see it  especially with your  teenage   Children ..

4 days till Spring and we some new  fresh snow on the ground .. Can you believe it ?  Nothing like what  the East coast  has gotten hit with  so I am very thankful for that ..

I have my stampers club meeting tonight  and  still  have a few  last  minute  things to  do before hubby leaves Early morning tomorrow  We are leaving the house  by 5:00am . Not sure If I will be posting that early I may just wait until later in the afternoon .. either way I will see you some time tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by  today ..

The next card is from Patricia  she sent me  this card along with  her scissor charms  payment . Patricia's card uses a hodge podge  piece. which if she is anything like me  it seems I only  brake out the HP  Just for  those  really special cards  since I am a HP  hoarder ( can I hear a Amen ?)  and  Very special  is what Patricia  made me feel  when she sent me  her beautiful card .. which she also embossing  the background ( It is so hard to pick  embossing up in photos )  Thank you Patricia ..

You all  are sooo very talented and I am so blessed I  have been on the receiving end of  getting one of your creations in my mail box . I sure do love  what we do don't you ? Making  greeting cards to bring a smile to  someone  special  This is one of the  reasons I love stamping so Much .. and you all  made me feel very special  this past week .. Thank you  from the bottom of my heart .

Yesterday we got "THE CALL"  actually it was a email  for hubbys   DOD ( Date of departure )  and it  is  this Sunday  at 8:00am  so that means a very early  start for us  to head to airport. He finally is all packed  and ready to go .. I must say  as empty as my   bedroom looks  with all his stuff  packed   Its truly Not as empty as my life will be without him here .Yes its hitting home now  that he is leaving and its  finally hit with lots of tears  flowing already .. Tonight my mom is taking us out  to dinner  and then  we are all going out to  the  movies with all the youth from church we are all going to go see The Ultimate  Gift which I am excited about .. Saturday is my club meeting  at my house  and  then The   BIG day . We decided to keep the hot tub filled and he  told me what to do  for  adding Bromine  and the other stuff  to it  at least once a month .  He also ( hopefully ) going to show Jessie how to use the  weed whipper  since cutting the grass will be Jessie's  job while he is gone . and yes She is  going to be the one I recruit to help me make my scissor charms at least thats the plan , Its funny how  God works isn't  I really thought I was done  with being separated from him  over  13 years ago when he got out of the Navy .I am thankful  we had that  time  to help make this transition  BUT it still doesn't  help in the  emptiness I am feeling already .  I told him yesterday  I have to look at him leaving as  in Stampin'Up! quarters   Then its alot easier to deal with  since   SU! quarters really do fly by don't they ?  It seems we are in the middle of one quarter and  then we are getting ready for the next .. Case in point  we are already looking forward to  the new Catalog   aren't  we  and  that will be here in no time  right ?  and  hubby will be home for his 1st 10 days around that time  also  so Its  gonna be a even bigger  celebration  for me and Jessie  and all our friends and family ..  Please continue  to pray and  keep him and  my family in your thoughts ..  Hey maybe one  day I will  have a blog candy to have you all send in RAKS for HIM  Now that would be  AWESOME!! and he would sooo freak out over that .. Gina  had mentioned a few days ago in her post that she wanted  anyone  if willing to  send her mom a  RAK  for the hard time she is having with her job .. Well the  cards started  rolling in  and she send  her   Love and appreciation  of you all doing that .. But she had told Gina  something  we  thought was pretty Funny  she  didn't realize what a RAK was and she thought we all were  trying to recruit her ..  so funny huh?  Gina  then  explained to her  what  a RAK was.. I wonder what Hubby will  think when he receives  his Rak's one day .. Thank you all  for visiting my blog  everyday . Looky what I got !!  a Beautiful Blogger RAK from Cindy Keery  Gotta love that cuttle bug HUH? and of course the cool carribean  which  both are my Favorites  lately ..   You  can  visit Cindy's  blog HERE She has some awesome projects and  also wonderful watermarks ..  I know this  cause I got  my  very 1st watermark  from Cindy .. So you want to see  one of my new watermarks  I really don't know why it took me so long to get  a watermark ..  I just love all the designs out there everyone is using   seems to really  compliment  your projects . and I am now addicted to watermarks For my  Green Mr Crabby pants  I used always artichoke  and  certainly celery along with the  petals  designer paper  and  Crab & company  stamp set  all of which can be viewed HERE

OMG  did you watch Lost ? OH MY Claire  has the same father as Jack NO WAY!! what a shock that was . Never never seen that coming .. and whats  up with Jack playing football on the "others" Compound ? Is Jack a clone? or is that  the real Jack ? for some reason I  lean to  the thinking  that its a clone cause Jack hates the Others and The Jack we seen last night seemed to be having the time of his life playing football  with one of the OTHERS... Its also seems  like  the Others  may be knowing what is going on   the island with everyone  cause  how would they know to have Jack out there playing football when Kate , John and  Sied( sp?)  show up.. I just love this show .. But you already now that HUH?  looking forward to next week  with Johns story line ... so  very exciting ..

I received  this awesome blogger RAK yesterday from Mary Duncan .OH My Goodness  her card is sooo beautiful ..This photo does NOT do it Justice.. I tried to capture  the background of her card  she embossing Which is sooo  very  striking. and her color blocking  of her main image is sooo awesome ..Thank you so much Mary for  such a  wonderful  RAK, You really put the  WOW in WOWZIE GF !! Today I want to share with you a earth moving  event  that happened  a couple days ago right here at my kitchen  Table . Is this  an awesome sight or WHAT?  Hee! Hee! I recruited my hubby   to help me with  the  Graduation cards I am making for Linda daughter  Whitney . Here you can  clearly see he is  really into embossing.There's  something  about a man  stamping  isn't that right ?  and the best part was that he  asked if he  could help .. thats what makes it even better... Hubby tackled  this project like any man would he  figured out how many he would need  for me to add to each of the 100+  cards then he went to town . He also got alittle  punchy  with me also  and made all the punched out frames  for my cards  too.  Here  he is playing peek a boo .. You know the saying a Family that stamps together  stays  together HUH? Hee! Hee!  My Hubby   always seems  to go for the  stamping tools part of stamping .. Maybe its the man in him  But  It never fails if I get a new stamp set  he looks  and says thats cute BUT let me get a  new  stamping tool He is all over it .. Case in point  My cuttlebug ,  My crop-a-dile , My heating  gun ,  yes even  the BIG punches, &   He even was eyeing my crafters tool  kit  . I just think its sooo funny how  woman and men think differently  don't you .  I am more excited about  the prettiness of things and he is more fascinated with how   my goodies work  ..    I remember how  cool he thought my  new  mega giga scallop punches were when I  1st got them  that he  sat there and punched out  tons of  scraps for me .  and well my cuttlebug is another  tool he is very  curious about  and get this  he  is going to get me some  embossing envelopes  some time this week  .. I know  he wants to play  with the new envelopes  too probably ..  It amazes me  how he  always seems  he  is thinking of a  easier  way to do things .. When he  1st saw  Magic Mesh he  went out to the garage  to get his dry wall tape and handed me it and said try this .. ( which of course worked  But its something  he really doesn't understand HUH girls ? )  Men in  general  are sooo  fascinating aren't they   and My hubby is one in a million ..   We  are  still Waiting on the call  sometime  before Friday to get his flight info  for him  to leave on Sunday ..  still so much to do  before then  I want him to drain our Hot tub  before he leaves  ( this is  something he  always maintains  for us  I  don't have a clue  what to do )  and he  will be   putting new brake  pads on his truck  today. PLUS he has to pack  and we need to go shopping for him  also  We have heard calling cards  are best to purchase here  before he gets there  cause they are sooo expensive there  so thats another thing on the list of  what to get . Seems  he is only able to take  personal hygiene items ( shampoo,  shaving cream , deodorant  etc..)  in 3 oz size  so we need to get all that kind of stuff too ..  Keep on praying  please ..

Terrific Tuesday!!

I  have been receiving  the   most fabulous cards from all of you  scissor charm owners .. Thank you so Much  who would have thought I  would be on the receiving end of such a blessing . Todays card is from Cheryl ..I Love her card , The color she used is  just perfect ( cause  she  used PURPLE Hee! Hee! )  Yes she said she made it  purple just for me  .. I love it Cheryl  Thank you so Much  girlie .I will share the other beautiful cards I received  hopefully tomorrow  once I take photos of them . stay tuned .

Today is  hopefully going to be a stamping today OR a clean my stampin room day ..HUMM Which will it be ..I really don't know  Both need to be done  especially for my  club meeting this SATURDAY.  so maybe a little bit of both will take place ...Yesterday I made an appointment  to see my knee  surgeon  Sunday I made a decision  to get my other knee replacement  done . I go on the 21st to  talk with him to see  when  would be the soonest I could get that done ..  I knew I would get the other knee  done in time,  Just didn't know when. Well I know its time now  mainly because  Hubby's  Union Insurance  will be up  and not to sure about hubby's  new insurance  if it covers  going to MY knee doctor  Because I want the same  doc that did my last knee replacement. He is one Doc in my area that does the ZIMMER KNEE.. I had such a awesome   recovery time  due  to having the new procedure done .. and  such a small scar .. The Idea behind  the Zimmer knee is not so much the knee itself BUT the procedure .  Old ways use to cut through all the  muscles , tendons, and etc..  The Zimmer knee  is less  abrasive , They move everything over   and leave everything in tacked  I have about a 3 " scar on my right knee  with the last surgery  and my recovery time was in about 3 weeks , Yes still hurt  But I was actually going down my basement stairs  within the 1st 2 weeks . I still find it soo weird when I look at Xrays of my  R knee and see all that Metal in there .Its just unreal what they do now a days .. Very Blessed to have a awesome doctor  and I must say he is  easy on the eyes also ..  and the best Part is Dr. Nicholas  is a Christian to boot   Pretty awesome huh? You can view photo from the last knee replacement HERE   Have you ever known  when its time to do something ?  I guess you can call it  a  feeling of sorts BUT I really think it was from God Cause I have peace about it  and I am sooo ready to do the other knee ..  I will keep you posted  when all this happens .Hopefully  within the next  few months . We are just waiting on the call to find out when Hubby leaves ..This may be the hardest part  since waiting is not  either of our strong  points . OK I admit I may be stronger in this area But not by much.

Isn't she cute ???

Howdy everyone .. I thought I would share with you  the 6x6 page I submitted to Stampin'Up! to be a display stamper for convention  this year ..OF course I didn't get picked, But I still love the 6x6 page I sent in and I am soo glad I ended up taking a photo of it  This photo is of Jessie  during Spirit week this past January  she dressed up as a pig for animal  day.  What was sooo cute about her being a  piggy  was  that we used  a egg carton  space  for her snout  nose ..I colored it pretty in pink and then added a  circle punch out in blush blossom  to the  tip of her snout   added 2  circle  marker  dots for the snout ,punched  a hole on each side of the  snout nose to hold ribbon  so she could tie it on her  face  she than added 2 ribbons in her hair for the ears ..  so of course the Very punny set went so great with this page so  that  was my guide. The second photo shows  the 6x6 page  and the  way the journaling  pulls out from behind the photo . I really loved the way the 6x6 page all came together .. Apparently SU! was looking for something different  and thats OK  cause there is always next year Right ? We did end up going to Whiteys yesterday  and unbeknown to us Linda and Steve had a  surprise up their sleeve  when  they picked up the tab  for our dinner  and   many tears were shed ( of course by me )  when  this all happened  and of course when Steve and Linda told Rich that they loved him and  were going to miss him when he leaves   and  that he  didn't have to worry about me and Jessie cause they would be here for us 24/7. OH such awesome friends  we all have become  within this last year since our Pastor had left .. Seems we pulled together  and made our bond  alot stronger  with  each other .

OOOHH NO MR Crabby Pants has attacked again ..

This time MR Crabby Pants is all  blue in the face ... OK actually he is Turq and black .. When My Daughter seen this card for the 1st time she totally picked up on the message I was wanting to relay .. made me laugh  that she got it ..( you know when someone reads your card just the way you intended  it to be read ..OH what a feeling  ) Hee! Hee! I would have used my  cuttlebug all weekend for goodies  like this MR Crab Crab Card BUT the only embossing folder I have is the congrates one  and some how  that just wouldn't have went with the  Pinching if you KWIM.. Can you believe I didn't use  cool Caribbean  for this card? Don't worry  those are coming  Hee! Hee! I used tempting turq and black with whisper white .. I used my  sq mega giga  scallop punch  also .. I'm still loving those  scallop punches.. Yup I added doodles and  black GG ribbon  to.. For some reason I had forgot to add my googly  eyes to Mr Crabs  But hey he  is  cute enough without them  right ?. My Cousin  Ruthie emailed me  and  asked  Why do her cards look so Much better on my blog .. My reply to her this morning  ( hope your reading Ruthie )  is  that   her cards actually look better  IRL  ( In real life )  But I  see where she is coming from .. I don't do anything special for my  photo taking  actually  this is  how I take my photos  at my  Famous photo studio  Hee! Hee! ..  Just  2 pieces of  12x12  whisper white Card stock  I do have an extra  desk lamp for extra lighting if I need it , But other than that I just use my basement lighting . I use  my  computer program Arc soft  photo Impressions 5  for all my  cropping , resizing, and  also my watermark ( which  the watermark may all soon  change thanks to Cindy  stay tuned for that  ) I like using  whisper white CS as my back drop  because  The lighting in my basement is not the best and the Whisper White  seems to reflect  the most light  for my photo taking . Nothing Fancy  for my  photo Studio . All Thanks goes to Debbie  Olson for giving me the awesome  photo tip . Now you to can take photos  like the pros ( some what  anyway )  so you see Ruthie  Its not  really the photo  that makes your card look so Great Its cause your Card is so GREAT!! The photo only enhances  your already beautiful card  IMHO . Yesterdays Meeting was Great and last nights class was  super fun ..I am only  expecting  that today will be just as Great . especially cause the weather  has  seemed to turn  for the better  .. cause it was Gorgeous  yesterday near 50 degrees  and  sunny  YAHOO!  .. So did  you remember  to set your clocks ahead last night ? I was up so Late last night  trying to figure out  how to use a Cindy Keery watermark with my program I already have  and guess what I  think I may have it working  . She sent me a   sample of one she made  from someone else yesterday and  I was having the hardest time  BUT I think I figured it all out  at least  I think  so  Now If it  shows up on my blog .. We will  find out soon .. cause I am  getting one  of my  own YAHOO!  actually  There is no other reason for me wanting a watermark other than I would  love to add something beautiful  like  all the  hundreds of bloggers out there  to my  projects .. My watermark I have been using is  actually just fine  But aint nothing wrong with adding some  fancy  to  my goodies  right ?    Of course you all will be the 1st to see my watermark so stay tuned  I am sooo excited .. Thanks to CINDY for all her patience  on  me  to see If I could get that thingy to work ... sooo very happy I got it to do something  " anything " late last night .. Hope your Sunday will be filled with lots of Laughter  today .. We are planning on going out to lunch/ early dinner  with our friends Linda and Steve  yes of course Ben too ( Jessie is happy )    Steve had mentioned  maybe  going to  WHITEY'S OMG  the best fish  in the world I must say   and  so worth the 45 min drive to Davidson  where Whiteys  is  located  .. We  don't go much as  we would like  because of the  distance But with friends  and  laughter  and GREAT fish  who could say NO.. just hope we end up going  cause  isn't funny once someone  mentions  a  place then  you start  craving  it .. YUMMMM-O  Actually Whiteys has been known in my family  for a very LONG time  my Grandma  and Grandpa  use to  go there  with us  .. It is sooo  awesome .. Today I have a  meeting at our church  at 1:00pm  this meeting is open to anyone that wants to come But mainly Linda  is having it for us Sunday School teachers. Its always a Great time getting together  with my Church family no matter what the  subject may be ..

I  am wanting to go see this movie  I heard Bob Dutko talking about yesterday,   Funny thing is I haven't seen it advertise on  TV  yet  and it was released yesterday.. I guess  maybe it  shouldn't be  to funny  we haven't heard  much about it  cause  the story line is  Christian  Based . The  movie is called "THE ULTIMATE GIFT " Have you heard about it ? If not  check out the  trailer  and  write ups about it HERE..  Looks awesome  and it is on my list of things to do  soon

Hubby has everything  done and   sent in for his Job , We should be hearing something  by   this next Friday  to when he goes to Houston ..

I have been RAK'd again YAHOO!

Yesterday I received  2 cards YAHOO!  This one is  from Charmaine .Charmaine's Card is  sooo pretty and soft   It almost looks like she  used pastel chalks  for her card .. It is just  adorable  Not sure if  you can see in the photo  But   the small  oval circle saying "JUST SMILE"  how sweet is that .. I love it! Thank you so Much Charmaine .. The  next Card is from my  Favoritest Cousin Ruthie . I have to share,   when  Ruthie makes me a card  her  Hubby  delivers it to me  at  school  but what is soo cute about Kirk Is that he  claims he made  the card   whats even  better is that Gabby  speaks up and says NO mommy made it . Love  your Card Ruthie  You always now how to make me smile HUH girlie ? Love that gold embossing , and  I love you  girlie  xoxoxo.

I have to share with you all  this VIDEO...  Just so you all realize  that  there is a HUGE addiction  spreading  Even though you may  realize  How big this addiction really is  But maybe  you never really  knew  how fast it is spreading  world wide .. Please take a moment  to  become aware of  this  serious addiction.I promise you will  not  Look at men the  same , you may   have some  sympathy for  them  and who Knows it could even be your next door neighbor  who has this addiction.. BLOG Candy give-a-way is over ...

OH MY GOODNESS  you all are sooo clever .. 

Apparently  you all know my husband  all to well.. Yes he is the greatest Man alive  . About 90% of  you guessed  He bought me  this .. How did you  know ? Maybe it was all my  pleads , and even  my pity parties  that  made you all know I so wanted this  machine  ,  So apparently My hubby  heard through the grape vine and  took pity on me  ( He truly is one of a kind .. But that's nothing new to all of you cause I seem to always brag on my hubby  huh?) ..   I must admit   I think he loved reading all the comments  as much as I did   today about  what you thought of him  getting me a cuttle bug..  I am  sooo very happy and sooo very blessed  !! 

Ok now for  the Blog candy .. This  is the very 1st card I made with my cuttlebug last night  and  I  also  used my  new  stamp set  Expressoly  for you.   I embossed the  images with black detail embossing powder  and  highlighted  them in  cool Caribbean  and pixie pink  ink/ I also   added a paper  bow  at the  top of this card ..  something  cute  I think  and then  added  doodles of course ..  and of course a card wouldn't be complete  without  dazzling diamonds  right .. so I added a touch of  glitter  also ..  I am also throwing in  one of my famous scissor charms.. I know you all are dying to know who the  blog candy goes to right ??  OK   Blog candy give-a-way  goes to Dawn Mercedes..

Hey I don't know if   you know  this BUT I just found out last night at church  that this Saturday we are setting our clocks ahead . Did you all know that ?  Gee Whiz  a little early huh? like 3 weeks early.. Maybe  they  could  bring  Spring earlier  too .. so DON'T FORGET to set clocks  ahead Saturday night before you go to sleepy..

So it seems you all liked the man in the beans photo yesterday  .. OK I have another cool photo for you BUT no searching  required  just a really cool looking photo .. Yes you may have to enlarge  to grasp the full detail of this photo.. I am not  really sure  who passed it on to me   awhile ago  Maybe my  friend  Gwen ..I don't remember   anyway ..  what your looking at in  Black  images  are NOT actually the camels  BUT  its their shadow .. once you  see  the shadow look closer to actually  find the real camel.. This  is the coolest photo I had seen in a long time  don't you think so too?

MAJOR NEWS FLASH !!

Hubby  went to  the Union hall yesterday to sign the books ( something he has  to do it get sub pay ) anyway  on his way home he stopped  and bought me something .. Can any of you guess what this might be ? I am sure you all can guess what it is~ right ? come on now  you don't have to think that hard do ya ? Hee! Hee! .. BUT I really had NO idea  that he had this up his sleeve  and what his BIG plan of the day  was going to be . And whats  even  more of a surprise  he bought me this  without a coupon , All he  did was  JUST asked for 40% off and they gave it to him  YES without a paper coupon in hand ..  YUP all he did was ask  and they said  "OK  we can do this  for a 1 time  thing" I have NEVER in my life  thought  this would ever happen BUT I seen the  receipt   .. any guesses ? I will tease you  for  a little while   today and  would love to  read your comments on what you think this may be.. I will post what he  bought me later  today ( I will be very curious to see  what you all think  IT is ) so  check in  later to  read what IT is , OK?  and OH leave a  comment  and  guess what IT is  and I will pick a name  for  the  BLOG candy  that I will post with  this announcement  the only catch is  NO one knows when I will post  the  IT answer  so you all have up until The next post to make your guess  and once the post is made  the  Blog candy drawing will be over .. Sweet little Teddy bear ...

  Every time I even think of the word Teddy bear I always think of Elvis   you now the song  right .. For my  teddy bear card I used the coluzzle  and the 3/4  & 1/2 "circle punch Hand drawn the  face  and paw lines . The happy Birthday is from Hip Hip Hooray stamp set .. I used  creamy caramel  for my bear , For the base card I used pretty in pink and chocolate chip  along with more creamy caramel  and whisper white  was used for the  sign .. The nose was  cut free hand  from black Card stock , the paws  are  popped up with dimensionals  and I  don't know if you can see it  But I added  the pink cheeks with my  dauber . Really the only think on this card that was stamped was the  sign my teddy bear is holding  Oh and besides the Adia cloth BG stamp for bear in creamy caramel  ink.. just a really cute and simple card ..

Update on Hubby's job .. a few weeks back  I had mentioned  that Hubby had  an opportunity  to maybe go to Africa as a  electrical contractor  Well all that changed    about 9 or so  days ago .. He got a call for  the company and  needs him to go to Iraq. YUP you read it right  Iraq .. It has happened  so quickly  within  the time  they had called him  He could be leaving as soon as  a week  & a 1/2 . Here is the low down on  this job . He will be gone for 1 year  BUT he will be  coming  home   every 4 months  for 10 days ( expenses paid ). I have the location of where he is going But for the life of me I cant seem to find   where I put that info ..( yes its been CRAZY around here  to say the least ) anyway .  He had his psych  test yesterday and  he passed   now we wait for the call   for him to leave for Houston TX for 10-14 days  where he will be  put through a ton of more tests  once he finishes  all the tests in TX  he will be  leaving for Iraq from  there . How are we doing .. I actually have such a peace about  him going ,With of course  a small fear especially  when   the call came  with all the info  and of course the  dangerous side of things  had to be said  so he and I totally understood  what he is getting into. Hubby has always been an adventurous  type of man  and  He has been there before with the military  for Desert Storm back in 1990/91 , even though he is going under a different position  he will  be living on a colony  with others   this will also be where he works .  He is  excited about going  actually he was wanting to go   the last time he was laid off  But never knew the channels to go through  to get in  with  this company  that is sending him .. I actually have a cousin already over there now for 8 or so weeks  and this is how we   went about getting all the info for him to go . This past week  It seems It was non stop with  so much to do .. Thank God we already had passports, But he needs clearance/ release statements   from his  dentist &  family doctor, also a power of attorney  had to  be put in place for me ,  he had to locate his DD214  from his  discharge  from  the  Navy ,  needed  his driving records, new  bank accounts have been set up ,  and all the follow up  appointments for his  teeth cleaning ( which is tomorrow ) , and   doctor appointment   (which is today ), Our taxes needed to be done  and  everything up to date . seems  everything is done, now we wait for the ph call to see when he leaves for Houston TX . Please keep us in your prayers .. especially  my hubby  for his safety in all he does .I have been in Much prayer about this situation myself  and  asked God  if this was his will for him to go have everything go smoothly  and guess what .. it really has all  fell right into place  and is going very smoothly  and  very quick, Jessie seems to be ok with him going also .. I say that we are ok with him going Not that we want him  going  to this place BUT  we  understand  Hubby is willing to go  there to support  us his family  . NO jobs  here in Michigan  and yes he has applied  for  hundreds  within the last  6 weeks since being laid off   that drastic times call for drastic measures on the job front . I praise God for my husband  he  is such a wonderful man and  awesome provider . Believe me  when I say my stamping business   Does NOT support me money wise   for me being a SAHM ( Stay at home mom)  Its because of what my husband  does  that makes this  available for me to be blessed to be a SAHM and a stamper... Please remember us in your prayers We all would soo appreciate them ..

Mrs. Crabby Pants has entered the buliding ...

Here is another  Crabby Pants card.. But this is the Mrs version  I used cool  Caribbean , regal rose, whisper white  and   the double sided  petals & Paisley DS paper . I Just love the way this card turned out  I   also used my  mega giga sq scallop punch  and also added   tons of doodles  again ... I think  the reason I love  this card so much is  cause  when you pull the ribbon  out towards the right side  you   will see this ... I have always been a  sucker for  hidden messages on cards   But  also I  got to use my crop-a-dile on  this card.. No reason to the crop-a-dile madness  on this card  But just for the lame excuse for me to use it  Hee! Hee! Don't you love lame excuses ?

OH my goodness  We were gone for most of the day yesterday  But  the relief is that our taxes are done now for yet another year ..

Today I am  going to be out and about pretty  much all day with   club order deliveries , Post office  &  going to the bank  also have to swing by the dental office  to pick up something ...

Hubby is going for a test today for his new job  and  soon I will be able to share all the details with you , It seems I have been waiting for  today  to come and go  before I  share more info on his new adventure..

MR Crabby pants ... In a good way of course

Here is my Mr. Crabby pants again ..  I think I Love him so cause he looks good in any color don't you agree? for  this card  I used  crab & company  and  designer  paper from Petals & Paisleys . I used my  slit punch for the scallops  and added alot of doodles with my black SU! marker I  also used the designer paper for his Birthday hat  and  for the  snappy birthday tag  too. I added blue stickles glitter  over top of the  bashful blue  pincher's and legs, and added a silver eyelet with of course my crop-a-dile ..OH how  I love  my cop-a-dile  . what a party animal HUH?

This morning we are going to get our taxes done  right after we take Jessie to school , Just one more thing crossed of the list of things to do .

Today I am also expecting our stamping club order to come in,  Cant wait for that.

Great day yesterday .. We got a Pastor ( Doing the Happy dance  makes me think of that song  I got a pickle I got a pickle  I got a pickle  Hey hey hey hey  from the  little rascals movie ~ do you know the one ? ) .. and pretty ironic that he would be coming around  Easter , Since this is when our last Pastor  left ( at Easter time ) . Pretty Awesome  huh?  I really think they would  have come sooner BUT the Parsonage is   all a mess because  we are   putting new cabinets up , new carpet , new wood floors and of course  painting  a few rooms.I really don't know  who is more  excited  about them coming us or Them .. Praise God!

UPDATE!!

I would like to introduce you all to our new Pastor  Brad and his wife Robyn  Adams .. We voted and  its a a done deal  they have accepted  the invitation and they will be moving up here  by the end of this month  from Springfield IL. YAHOO!  we are sooo excited  Thank you all your your prayers .. We are off to  celebrate  birthdays with our youth  group this afternoon at Red Lobster Have a blessed Day  and thanks again for everything .

Dawn Griffith   Has been Rak'd by Denise Bryant .  Dawns Rak she received  yesterday  had brought  this 40 year Ole woman to  shedding BIG hugs crocodile tears . Denise had seen where this Ole Gal  was having a pity party  cause she  did not have a cuttle bug machine, Her kind words in her RAK  card  were not the only thing that brought Dawn to tears   But also  what was inside  the envelope with this gorgeous Rak ...Tons of Pre made cuttle bug  pieces  made with all different  cuttlebug  envelopes .. Dawn  tears flowed  as she   kept flipping though all the  pieces, Why there were so Many  she had  lost count  all she kept on saying was OMG ! OMG!  I think she experienced  cuttlebug shock . The next thing we know is she was off  running down stairs  to stamp  a creation  within a few minutes  Dawn returned  to reality and  displayed this card  for her family's viewing pleasure using  a piece from Denise Bryant's  Rak selection of cuttle bug  piece from  Denise's stash she sent her  . Dawns final words  were that she was sooo thankful  to Denise Bryant  for being so very thoughtful  and her words  could not express  how much she appreciated  this  wonderful  thoughtful   blogger Rak gift ..  We now  return to her   regular  blog posting ...

Yes I just want to say a BIG thank you to Denise Bryant  for  her wonderful  blogger club Rak .. you can  view   all the other wonderful things Denise has made HERE on her blog. My 1st  creation using  Denise's goodies seriously only took a  few mins  .I used  cool Caribbean and mellow moss  with whisper white CS  with the   Happy harmony stamp set . along with a small piece of  window sheet  for the  saying in bottom left  corner .. I  then  sponged  craft white ink on all edges  on the  card base and  1st layer , applied  small  snips of  spring moss GG ribbon  around the cuttle bug piece, added a few doodles of dots  and TA DA!!  Nothing  to over the top But its the  cuttle bug  piece that put me over the top  with happiness ..  I am sooo excited to use these pieces But I must admit I feel a little  like  a paper hogger here  cause I love them so Much I   don't want to use them...  weird I know  HUH?  Thank you Denise soo very much  !! With so much excitement over the cuttle bug goodies Lets not over look her  awesome RAK card .. sometimes  a card is so awesome  that it couldn't get any better  But Denise  wrote a  note inside her RAK  that was really  the tear jerker  for me  she wrote :

OK  everyone  with other news on the Horizon   today is the day we vote on  Brad Adams  to be our new Pastor.. We are all so excited  to hear him preach  this morning  I can hardly wait .. This is one of those days I am very Thankful I do not have Nursery duty  *( which is in  the other building )  Brad and His wife Robin are  just the sweetest couple  and It seems I hit it off with Robin  yesterday at Breakfast .. Have you ever met someone  for the 1st  time and  you felt like old friends ,, seriously this is how I felt yesterday with her .. Yes Brad is a HUGE Michigan collage football fan ..  we all joked about that issue with him quite a bit yesterday all in all he took it  very well Hee! Hee!  Last nights pot luck and Q&A was Great he gave his testimony  and  he seems to be as excited as we are to come to our  church .. Today after the  preaching  we will all be voting  if we want him  to  come  be our pastor .. I will try and  get a photo of him and his family to share with you all  tomorrow .. they are both 31 yrs old  and have 2 baby boys ( Tyler 2 and Dylan  which I think is almost 3 months old ) Class was Great last night  starting at 7:30  was perfect . cause we finished up last night  with the pot luck at about 7:15pm .. Please keep praying  He is  the one God wants for our church.. will give you an update later this afternoon  when the votes  are all counted and the announcement is made . NO Crabby people allowed ...

I just love this crab,,  I got a feeling this set is  gonna be alot like my  Unforgettable  set( Highly used )  you may see a pattern  with me in the  next few days with this little guy and I really don't know why BUT I seem to like to  color  this cute crab  in 2 colors .  Hey did you know I don't eat seafood ?  Yup seafood makes my RA flare up  really  bad .. Don't know why I Threw that little tid bit of info in the mix , Maybe  cause we talking Crabs I really don't know .. Hubby Love seafood Everything even Octopus YUCKY!!  There was a time I  use to eat seafood  But that  would only consist of maybe shrimp ( which I know is sooo good HUH? ) But really I don't miss it to much  Well until days like this  when I talk about it  Hee! Hee!  Ok  something funny about this card .. The day I received  Beate's  blog RAK card , Is the same morning I  send out   this card  to her .. Pretty funny huh? .. and of course I didn't know she RAK'd me until after I had dropped off her card in the mail ,  And last night she  emailed me to  tell me she got it .. so Thats what I was waiting  on to  post it for all of you ..( I wanted her to see  the card 1st ) KWIM? didn't want to ruin the  surprise element of it all  even though her card is   the opposite in color layout ( red on sage ) . OK for my Crab card I used real red  base with  sage shadow strips  I stamped the itty bitty background onto the sage shadow ( which you can barely  see )  and colored in my crab with real red and sage shadow markers , added a little shadow with going gray and my aqua painter brush  and added  red  stickles glitter to my crab and to the side  with glitter dots,  which glitter  always makes  a card Fabulous  don't you agree ?  but for the fun part I used my new crop a dile  for the eyelets on my crab card ..I so love my crop a dile . I punched out the O's in the saying and added sage shadow eyelets  along  with  adding a couple to the bottom right corner  .. Man this card really sparkles  like crazy.. Maybe its because I added the  red  stickles glitter ontop of the real red  HUMM?  I don't know .. But I love it .

Today is the day  I personally get to met our   possible  new pastor for breakfast today I am soo excited .. Hubby says  he is a  real sports nut and  Loves Michigan  State  at our last  business meeting   when we all were talking about  him  coming to preach (  tomorrow )   we all laughed and thought it would be sooo funny if every  person  would wear  Eastern Michigan's  colors ( Green and  white ) on the Sunday morning he was to preach ..  what a hoot that would be  huh?  To tell you the truth  me and my family  Excluding my dad( my Dad loved  everything especially  Red wings Hockey )   are not big  football fans  actually  really not big  sport fans at all , So yes I lucked out in getting a man  that doesn't live for sports  TV.( how did that happen ?)  and yes I am always hearing if my hubby and daughter play Basket ball  cause  hubby is 6"5 and daughter is over 6" But NOPE neither  play   or ever want to .. Go figure .. I think thats the most asked  question when we 1st meet  someone  is the  basketball question  any who . I am so excited about  this morning and later this afternoon   and then also about my class tonight ..YIPPY!  I can hardly wait to tell you all about it tomorrow ( smirk  and a wink )

OH MY we got  some snow last night  and  winds are still howling  like crazy here in Michigan  Thank goodness this Pastor  is use to weather  in Michigan  cause it may scare anyone  else especially  if they were coming from the  southern states .. Ok  everyone ..I am off  to  get  the rest of my day started   But before I go I just wanted to  tell you all I soo appreciate  your personal emails  to me  you all are such an encouragement to me  ..It never fails when I seem to be having a down moment  for some reason( Yes I have   been having  them  for the last few days it seems )   you pop up and send me  such  wonderful  and kind emails  that touches my heart  and makes me smile ..  Knowing you all took the time to  share your thoughts   and  your appreciation  of me and my blog  makes me get all teary eyed . Thank you  for all your  wonderful emails  and  words of encouragement  you all are the BEST!!  Thanks for being here every day  and taking part of my life  weather  stamping  related or in my personal life. Seriously  blogging has  been such a blessing to ME personally  ,  and I am soo glad I started  to blog  on so many levels for myself,  and having you all here to  share  in  all I do makes  it all the sweeter.sending  big {{{{HUGS}}}} to each of you .

Stampin FUN!

Yesterday I  got to stamp  with  a  couple of my new sets from the  Spring mini YAHOO!. For  my card  post today I used  my new set  "Glorious gift" all in all a very simple card But I really love the way it all came together  in the end . I used cool Caribbean and  certainly celery  with whisper white  card stock  along with the Cool Caribbean  and certainly celery  and black  Ink .I stamped the back ground with the little flower from this set and  highlighted the centers with my white gel pen . For the main focal  image I stamped the  saying in Black on whisper white  and then I used my  dauber in cool Caribbean to make the words POP out . stamped the flowers in cool Caribbean and  certainly celery  cut out and  raised them up with a dimensional .. Of course I added  alot of  bling with dazzling diamonds  and a  tiny  jewel dot to the centers ..Then I just added  celery GG ribbon ..I really feel in love with this set Just for that saying  so it wasn't hard  to keep  this card  centered around that saying that I  first  feel in love with. To be honest I really haven't stamped in the last  few days  NOT that I lost my  stampin mojo But because of everything that is going on here  in our life .. especially since we got that Job opportunity  for my hubby  which will all make sense  shortly. It seems I have so Many things I want to tell you all but the time isn't right  concerning hubbys job, My Big submission I sent in to SU! last week , and the Other BIG news on the horizon concerning stamping BUT I can tell you now that I was NOT picked to be a display stamper for  SU! convention  this year Boo Hoo  at least I know I didn't receive the congratulations  email so Now I wait to confirm  this announcement  with a letter from SU!  that says I was not chosen , SO  you all know what that means ..I will be sharing a couple of  the projects I did send in for this  contest  in  the upcoming days. a couple of the cards I did make yesterday will be heading out to  SU! for their March contest  " Breath of Spring "  since yesterday  everything I made  was with the Spring mini  and this is what that category calls for ( Samples with  the spring minis )  so stay tuned for those samples soon also .. Boy it sure seems like I am  a Big  teaser  when it comes to  sharing all the surprises in my life ..I am sorry  about that . I will say that yesterdays  stampin fun seemed to be centered around  my new set Crab & Company ..OH boy this set is sooo much fun to play with .

Yesterday  turned into a  really yucky  weather day  here in Michigan with ice , wind and tons of rain  I still hear the  wind  howling outside this morning .. seems hard to  grasp that Spring is only 19 days away .. OH my goodness I can hardly wait .. I received a email last night from my  newest  stampin friend Lisa Somerville telling me she bit the bullet  and  finally got herself a BLOG... Yahoo!  Its about time girlie .. Lisa is  a  Fabulous stamper and  I hope you swing by her BLOG and see  what  she is into  with stamping .. She is a  SU! Demo  and  a  designer with Technique Junkies which is another one of my most favorite  stampin places to visit .. so give her a click with a BIG Hi today.

I am really hoping to continue  with my  stampin Mojo today   Jessie is having her friend Codie  spend the night tonight and  tomorrow is  the BIG Breakfast with our MAYBE  new Pastor to be  and then tomorrow  night   the pot luck with him  also looking forward to meeting him and his family . Then I   realized I set up a class for  tomorrow night too ( totally blew my mind about whats all going on tomorrow  night with the Pastor pot luck ..I know how could that have happened ?? I don't know ... A Brain Fart I suppose  Hee! Hee!  ) so I had to call and  reschedule  the CLASS tomorrow  night for a 1/2 hour later  than I had planned  on . So all is GOOD  for tomorrows activities  YAHOO!

Spring is in the air ...

Cant Believe Sell-a-Bration is over .. I thought I would make  this 3X6 card using the  Just delightful simply scrappin Kit ( I love this kit )  ..I also used the lg flower  from  the  Delight in life stamp set  for my background  along with my  white gel pen . all in all a very simple  card .

So how many of you caught  Bob Dutko's  talk  show yesterday online? I listened to  his whole  show and I just love Bob,  talk about boldness  for Christ. You should really catch him on Fridays   when he has  FREE for ALL Fridays .. WOW! Thats usually around 3:00pm eastern time  on Fridays.. I am going to add his link to my side  bar incase any of you  want to  catch him  online  and listen live  from 12-4pm EST  M-F..

OK who all got  to see LOST last night .. Don't we all Love Hurley ? I have noticed   it seems alot lately   that the characters seem to be re living alot of their Pasts  experiences  isn't  funny how  a  small show of affection can change a person ..  recall last night Sawyer was going to rip into  Hurley for  getting into his  stash  and as soon as Hurley  seen Sawyer  he grabbed  him and hugged him  and was soo happy Sawyer was alive . Seemed Sawyer  had a change of attitude  did you see that ?  Gotta love Sawyer too  such a quick  sense of humor.. He really cracks me up ..

Today I have alot of running around to do today  . I was really  hoping to get all of it done yesterday NOT! I really hope to get down stairs to stamp  today  so I am crossing my fingers  I can at least grab an hour to  have some stampin  fun later on  .  I will see you tomorrow  hopefully  with  a  new creation  from the  spring mini   goodies ..
