Merry Christmas to you ....

For my girls  being the hostess  for the month of July I made them these   cute Christmas  cards .. I  wanted to give them each  a pack of Christmas cards since  thats ONLY 6 months away ( OH no )  the  1st one  was what I made Gina  for her  club night  on the 20th and the   next one  was for Harriet  and  her club night  this past Friday night .,.. 

I just love the  Baroque Motifs  and  I had  seen  Michele TX on SCS   sample of  her Christmas card  and  decided to make them for Gina .  I  used Sage shadow  and purely pomegranate  for mine  and  silver brads  for the centers ..

For Harriet's Cards I used  Purely pomegranate& Always artichoke .   I did make a variety of different colors for Harriet , But this was the main style I used for her 10 pack  of hostess  cards. I Just love   how we can use one  stamp set and  get totally  different looks  with it .. Don't you ?

Double post today ...

Another post for today ..Yippee HUH?  I thought I would share  a  couple  photos from todays Bridal shower .. We had a  great time and  my  bride card was a hit with Miss Sarah Hee! Hee!  My  Cousin  Ruthie and her daughter Gabbie  drove  to the  party with Jess & I  this afternoon  and  Gabbie had   this really   Gorgeous  PURPLE hair   extension  in her hair  and of course I  just had to try it on  since it  was my favorite  color and all  Hee! Hee!  so here is what it looked like on Gabbie ( Much  more  fancy on her   and then  this 40 year old  looks like a goof  with it in my hair ..  I so loved it  But  Must admit it was the  wrong  color ( Blond ) for me   But hey the purple would  work  for any day of the week for me  wink wink .. Ya know I did  have  purple in my hair ( permanently  of course )   at one time .. (Ya know  Beauty  school will do that to you :-) Here was Sarah's Cake ..  sooo cute huh?  Even though we  didn't  end up eating their cute faces .. Hee! Hee! Thanks  for  looking at my  eventful Day .. It was  alot of  fun  Plus  the hour long  drive there  and  back   with my Favoritest  Cousin  was  the  bestest :-)

Exciting news all around ...

I  was having  fun with all kinds of Challenges  BUT This time I  wanted to  makeOne of my Stampin Queen's  a  cute card Because she just joined Weight watchers and lost 6 lbs in her 1st weight in  this past Thursday WAY to  go Girlie !!!   and  wanted to  make it using one of the DD challenges  on SCS . This  challenge was to use  a ton of  brads  and   I also  case one of Mothermark gallery cards  for the   Feature Stamper showcase challenge ..  I  used  this  sample  of Mothermark's card for my card   ... sooo actually I did 2 challenges  for this one card .. and I have already  sent it to my stamp queen  & she should have  gotten it   by now  so I feel  safe to show it off on my blog today  to all of you .. wink wink .. I had to use Zoofari  for her card   cause this happens  to Be   her  favorite set  right now .. I also cased the idea  from Mothermark   for my background ..WOWZIE what a FAB-O idea . I  used my  cuttle bug  1st  with tiny bubbles   embossing  folder  and then  rubbed  my  versa mark pad all over the piece  and then  dumped  clear  embossing powder all over and heat  embossed it ..OH   man I love this look .. Jessie  said it  reminded her of Leather .. I  dont know about that ..But I love the shinyness to it .   I also used my  Karen Foster snap stamps for the YOU DID IT  and the paper Piecing   punch ( retired ) . I added  19 black brad to this one card HOLY MOLY  thats the most I have ever used  for 1 single project ..   I also  used my  dauber  to drag the  black gingham ribbon   across the pixie pink ink pad  to  change the  white to PP . Here is another photo of it upclose .. I swear it is sooo much more shiney IRL ( In Real Life ) .

OH my  gosh I have some  exciting news  from Stampin Up! Convention going on right now in Denver CO.. My Pirate party in a bag  That I had sent in  a while ago for a SU! contest ( I didn't  win ) But it  showed up on a display .. I seen in the convention photo  gallery on SCS  That Belinda  snapped a photo of it  and Angie seen it and called me  super fast ..  I have  all my Pirate goodies  set up in my  web shots gallery  HERE if you would like to   see  everything that   we did  for last years Hostess appreciation  party . Here is what the  display looks like  at Convention right now  and I am sure   alot of my stampin queens  will spot them  selfs in the photo I sent in along with the pirate goodies   and a photo of the Cake my mom made .. OH my  gosh I  think If I were  at convention  and seen my pirate goodies on  display  there I just may have  PIMP's ( Pee'd in my pants ) Hee! Hee! Ok  Now  if you  can handle  MORE great news for yours truly  .. I won Corinne's Blog  candy OH my goodness ..  I am in shock girls ..  I  so Love Corinne  from the moment  I  met her  via SCS  and  through many posts / emails . We  had a  chance to meet up at lansing  Regionals  this past  Oct We exchanged  our swaps  and of course  lots of hugs ( Aint nothing better than meeting face to face  with  my Stampin friends )  .. I had resently  found her  blog ( Thank goodness ) Corinne is the sweetest   gal around and I am sooo exited  I won her goodies Thank you so Much Corinne

Have a Fabulous Sunday  and YAHOO 30 days  and counting girls . I  get to go to church today and to Sarahs Bridal shower YIPPEE!!!

Then  I got this super cute card from  Gina baby Cakes ..  She actually made this card at one of my  stamp a stacks  and  funny thing is when I opened her  card I  said to Jessie  this looks famiular :-) .. and then  when I opened it  she  wrote  exactly what I was thinking  on the inside Hee! East Side club meeting Photos & goodies ...

Howdy  girls ..  I seem  so far behind ..   I  am finally  getting around to posting  what all happened  last Friday night  at my  East side club ..OH boy we had a blast .. Our Hostess  Gina rocked the house  with tons of food and  Then look what she made for all of  us  that  attended  the club night . Her goody  held  so many  cuttle bug  Samples  WOWZIE!!  See that top one  laying  down ? I have that one on its way to me as I write this ,. I just love  her goodies she made for us . Can you see the  sour cream container  she also gave us  that held mints ..  What a Nice thing  Gina  did  for all of us .. Thank you  GF!!  Ok  here are a few of the photos I got  from that club meeting also ..  Here is our Hostess Gina   with  what she loves to do . (Stamping  Of course ) and  here is  Trish .

Trish is  such a sweetie   she has opened her home for us on a  few club nights. Her basement is  sooo Perfect for  our  meetings ..  Thank you  so Much Trish  for  letting us use  your home on  Club night .

Ok on  to  the next photo . Here is  Our  sweet and Crazy Laurie .. OH my   she  had me laughing   so hard a  couple times .. ( Remember us  Girls chatting  about  my hubby's BIG return  home  Hee! Then there is  Carol and Jenny in the next photo .. OH my  we all crack up with Carols  Darth Vader impression.. Hee! Hee!  and sweet Jenny  is still  trying to convince her  hubby  that all we really  do at these club meeting is Stamp  Hee! Hee! Like  what could there be that brings such pleasure and smiles to our faces  than  Stampin .. Ok besides that Wink Wink ..  What a HOOT that meeting was!  come to think of it Its always  fun stampin with friends,  having FUN chit chat and eating  Great food ..   HUH?

Then look at this super cute card Carol made  for me .  She also made  our Hostess Gina one too .. Lucky us HUH? Plus I got more cards for the troops  from Jenny  too .. Thank you  girls for making  our club night so much FUN!!!

This was one of the  2 projects we made  that night  using the  Baroque Motifs set .. I would show you the other BUT  I have another stampers club tonight and we have to  keep  at least one of the projects a surprise  Right ..

OH boy I feel another fun night  tonight coming on .Yesterday evening Steve  fixed  our computer ..YIPPEE!  which I had no  worries  about him  fixing the  situation  ..What I was concerned about was  Jessie and I  hooking it all back up ..  Jessie is sooo SMART!! and so is my  best Gal Angie ..Hee!Hee!  Jessie and I just labeled the  cord's  and it was a breeze  Thanks GF!!

Here comes the Bride ...

This Sunday after church  My family  will be  going to My Cousin's Sarah's Bridal Shower . This is the card I made for her. I am  sooo excited to see everyone  again  . We don't get together  as much  except around the  Holidays and we all now  that is NOT  quite often enough  for me . So  Sunday will be  an extra special  day for me  to  see everyone ..   Its hard to believe  Little Sarah is getting married  in  Sept .. My gosh time  flys  HUH? I  knew exactly what  card to make for her  since Jan Tink is the Queen of everything  In my book .. ( Jan You Rock GF! )  so I  used her TEMPLATE for Sarah . I am sure  you all cant  wait  for the next wedding  so you can make one HUH? Hee! Hee!   .. At least this is how I feel  each time I make this card  .. I swear its a gift in itself IMHO  Hee! Hee!  I used  groovy guava  since  her wedding will be with  Tiger Lillie's  (  At least thats the last I heard )   any who, I also  used my  three for you punch for the  flower  bouquet  with  dimensionals  to pop them up a bit , Jan  stamped her flowers  on her  card which is Fab  also .. But I wanted to  do something different   and this  Punch  really Jazzed it  up a bit  I think .. I also used the Neutrals  beads for her neckless   strung  them on  silver  cord ( this was actually the most time consuming  But well worth the  finish  look HUH? )  I also used  vellum  paper  behind my  bride  to add alittle  different  texture to  my card. For my  bouquet I used SU! scallop  scissors  and  just winged that  circle  cut out  and then used the  1/8  hand held  circle punch  for the edges . The  heart shaped  bodice   I just  traced out a heart and  cut it out .. took a  couple times  for it to fit perfectly  over the blush blossom  body  .. But I just love the  way she turned out .. I  also used the  Fancy  Flexible phrases  for the  tiny " For the  bride "  Just love this  set  But is no longer available. OH yea I also  decorated the  out side  envelope  to match also ..  I am soo excited to give this to Sarah .. and Thank you  so Much Jan  for your  template ...

This evening  I  will be taking my  computer over  to  Our  friends  house ( Steve  & Peg)   Steve  will be  taking a look at my  computer  Fan/s  something is making alot of noise  and I  dont have a  clue .. But I know I dont want to burn anything up  Thank You Steve & Peg ! Needless to say If I am not on  tomorrow  you will all know why . Say a  Prayer  that it will be a  quick  surgery and nothing major is  wrong  with my  computer . and Keep praying that I  know  how to  unhook  it and then once again hook it back up to work.Thanks girls ... Where  would I be without my computer .. Hope I dont have to find out .

VBS Thank you notes ...

Update  10:15am :  Here is the link for the  waterfall  card  tutorial on SCS

I  gave our Pastor this Thank you Note for VBS  I just love waterfall cards  and this one  was all in  the theme of  sports  since  our VBS theme  was Game Day Central . and One of his favorite colors is Blue ( not to sure if Lt blue ) cause he is a BIG Michigan  Fan  so I think I should have used  Brilliant  Blue ..But that color  is so hard for me to work with .. anyway I  used  the  sporting goods ( retired ) set  along with my  cuttlebug  for the background .

Then  I made this Thank you  card  for Robyn   (His  Wifey)   Yes  hers in all PINK  ( Its  for a girl   so it had to be pink  right ?)  and  of course I had  to  add Dazzling  diamonds  also  to really girlie it up ..Hee! Hee!

Yesterday Typepad had a tower  go down so if you  were  wondering what happened  when you  check in on my blog and  didnt see anything ..  thats what happened  But as of 5:15pm  yesterday  they had  fixed the problem But are still having issues  with the  Blogs  comment  area .. Thank you  for all your  concern  yesterday .. You all are sooo sweet .

Animal lover today ...

I made  this simple  and oh so easy  card with my Farm fever  set. I just omitted the  Utterly exhausted  from the cow  image ..  and  I also used  the new IN Colors   with  my  white gel pen of course .  I rolled out the  Farm yard wheel ( retired )  for my  background on the lower half of this card  and stamped ADORABLE in the bottom  corner with my warm words  set . I used my  aqua  painter  with groovy guava  to  make a slight shadow  around  my  cute cow  and thats really  about it .. OH yea  this card measures  4x4 . Ok on  to  another animal ... My  dogie Bowzer .

Oh  How  I love my  Bowzer .. he is the sweetest dog .. and to think of  all he has to put up  with us  2 crazy gals in the house  .. Well  this past week Jessie was making friendship bracelets for all her friends( Yup even I got one~  go figure )  and  as you can only guess  so did Bowzer .. and we have a photo to  prove it ( SEE)   .. I swear sometimes  he  is  such a ham in front of the camera and  it looks as though he is soo proud of his friendship bracelet Jessie made him HUH? The best part is that he doesn't  even chew on it to try and get it off , How sweet is that ? 

Yesterday I received  more beautiful RAKS  will share them soon .

I recieved this  awesome Blogger RAK  from my  new blogger friend  Paula.. She has  such Beautiful things on her BLOG  and  does such stunning  work . WOW to think I have one of her  beautiful   cards .. After visiting  her Blog I  seen  the  card  she sent me on there and Of course I must have   taken the photo of her  card   standing upwards  and I think it was meant to  sit  downwards  with the ribbons ontop  instead of to the side .. sorry Paula I think its fabulous either way you  sit it  IMHO.. Memories of VBS this year & Finish the sentence Challenge

Look what I made yesterday to  put my memories  of VBS in .  I just love the way it  turned out and I  cant  wait to take it with me  this morning to church to show it off  a wee little bit  Hee! Hee! The cover is cute BUT look inside  ..Thats  the  BEST .  I didnt  add  so Many files / envelopes  to mine since I  only needed  a hand ful to hold  each class photo of my kids  this year  Plus a  couple  extra to hold  other  events that took place  durning this years VBS .

In this next photo I  took out a couple of the files  cards   that are inside the  envelopes  to show you   what  they look like ..I may hold a class to  make these cute   accordian  file books ..  Stay tuned Stampin Queens  ..

Jen's Weekly Challenge

Yahoo I  did  another one of Jen's  weekly challenges and actually this card has already  been  sent out  to my Pastors wife ( Robyn )  Her Grandmother died  this last week on Thursday   and  well even  though the funeral was on Tuesday  I sent her  this  card a little late because I wanted her  to be  home  from OK ( where  she went  for  the funeral )  for her  to actually pull it out  of her mailbox.

Thanks  so Much Jen for your time in doing these challenges.  I love them all it just seems like last week was such a BLUR with VBS & all  But,  at least I got this one  in /

I used  Cho Chip ,creamy caramel  and  Groovy Guava  along with vellum CS for the side  scallops (  used the slit punch from SU! for the scallops )  and also used   Baroque Motifs,  Along with  copper brads   &  choco chip GG ribbon too. I did the  rock and roll technique  for the main flower ( Groovy Guava  & cho chip ink  )   and   I used  white craft ink for the  background on this card . Thank so much for looking ..

After I have recieved  so  many  comments on  maybe updating my  photo here on my blog .. I Just want to say I hear  yea GF's  But I really want to wait and see  what kind of Hats I get this year at Cedar point  when we go .. Stay tuned  I will get a new photo up  ASAP! Wink Wink ..

Have any of you used  the Fake tan in a bottle. I just started using  this stuff on my legs  since my last day of  P.T  on Thursday ( I wasnt  sure  if I would be streaky so I wanted to wait until I was done with P.T KWIM?  ya know didnt want Todd yo see  it if it  was a bad tan job Hee! Hee! )   OH my its Awesome .. I am using Coppertone Oil free  sunless tanning  lotion with a vanishing tint  Its  just under 7.00 a bottle at my local  store ..  Seems  my legs  are always so hard to tan   and  I  dont want to lay in my tanning bed  every  single day to reach  the  nice tan level  Just curious  if you  girls are using  anything and would like to share  what works great for you ?

Last night  club meeting was a Blast as usual  and Gina  our  Hostess was truly the  Hostess with the mostest .. OH my goodness  you  should have seen all the yummy  food she   made . So  glad I banked   some of my points ..  So awesome girlie ..I will hopefully share photos later on of  this  club meeting .. We missed you  JoJo , Janet, and Philly ..

Hi girls  I have to  share  with you more  goodies I received from   some  Fabulous stampers  that bought some of my  retired sets  .. The  1st one is  from Lise  and Of  course she  used my  Most Beloved  little guy Mr Crabby pants ..  I am sooo Very thankful he didn't get   retired after all .. YIPPIE!! I  so Love  your card Lise .. it is sooo awesome .. Love the colors  and How you  added the You make me smile ..  just sooo  awesome ..

Next    is this   Great card from  Ali  OH my  this seems to be  my  favorite set lately too ..  you all are reading my  mind .. I  so Love this set  because of  all the  things you can do with it  and soo happy it didn't retire  either ..YIPPEE!!.. Love How Ali  did the  ribbon in the corner ..  actually  when your card arrived  to my mail box  There was a hole for the ribbon  to peek through ..  How  cute was that ? actually I think the post office  may have did that  since it looks like it was ripped .. see  not only  was I excited to see  this beauty  But I guess the Post office  workers were  excited to see  what was inside  all the way from Hawaii too ..  Wink! wink!

Ok  I had mentioned  earlier this week  that  Rich got  a couple photos of  his friend  looking through a box of cards I sent him .. Rich keeps a box there for all his  KBR  guys  he works with also .. so  these photos are   of his Friend  Podi  he is from Sri-lanka  ( an island off off South  India ). Can  you imagine   Podi is over there in Iraq  for 2 whole years  and can not leave  to go home   anytime  between then   Because if he goes home he would not be able to go back  due to his work  visa.  Rich  says he is  such a  nice guy .. He is even  teaching Rich his language  a bit ..  How cool is that? anyway  as you can see  he picked a couple of his favorites  out of that box  (who's cards are these anyway ? I am just curious ) . Rich says it is such a blessing to  give the  beautiful cards  out  to all the troops and  co workers over there  because  all  they are  so  thankful  for   them  . almost in tears  when  they receive them . Rich  gives out the cards  as fast as I can send them to him ..  WOWZIE!!  this is sooo awesome ..  and you  all did this  wonderful thing  girls .. Thank you so Much .  Then Rich took this photo of this beautiful sunset  over there ..  It sure looks  awesome  doesn't  it ?   Just wish it was as peaceful as this sunset looks  over there..

Oh my gosh I  am sooo excited to give Todd this card  this  morning at P.T  I am  already busting at the seams with Laugher ..  I  Knew exactly what Card to make him since I  totally  cased  it from my friend Jan Tink   when she sent me  her Mr Crabby Card   for my knee surgery ..  I so love her card   and  I think this will be the perfect card for him . so many  elements that make this card sooo stinkin  Cute  IMHO . 1st notice the bandage  on Mr crabs  Knee  Hee! Hee!  and  the  notice  the  Pun intended with the KNEE'D  in the  saying on the  front ..   But also look what I stamped out with my Karen Foster snap stamps  to say inside  too. thats  whats  soo funny..  Like he is really  gonna miss me ? Yea right .. He is  just a nice guy and  even  through all my  whining  and  groaning  with pain  all he would do it  point to the sign on the wall "NO WHINING... SUCK IT UP"  ERRRRR  that  sure didnt help  But made me laugh  a little  tiny  bit .  I used Purely  pomegranate  and  groovy guava  for  this card  for the bandage I used  the  retired fancy fibers  Hannah which also has a  small bit from a couple years ago  from the neutrals fancy fibers .. looks  just like  gauze.. at least it does to me .. Hee! Hee!

Today  I will be getting everything  ready for our  Eastside stampers club  tomorrow night ..  got everything pretty much  pre cut Just have to  finish  the project worksheet  and  load everything  up  and then  double and triple check I dont forget anything ..  Which is always par for the course for me .

Giggle !

I just love that word giggle .. It seems to say so much  in so few letters  KWIM?  Just makes me smile when I say  it . I just had to  case  the  Silly Sealife  card in the  new catalog on page 92 BUT   I  used  Wild  Wasabi ,  Groovy Guava , Kraft and Really Rust CS and the  wheels I used were  Fishy  & Rough Texture  Jumbo  I used the  aqua  painter  for watercoloring around  my  turtle  with the Groovy Guava  and then used the blender pen to  color  in my  turtle's body. Then I used the  the  paper piercing  tool   for the  tiny holes  along the sides .  This size card is 4x4 & The tag  tucked inside  doesn't have anything stamped on it yet  since I was   just wanting to  case that card and had no idea  who I was making it  for .. Do  you  did this  too  ?  I  do it  quite often actually But  comes in handy  when  a last minute  card is needed  in a  quick flash  HUH?

Last night   we all  went out  to follow up/visitation  on  our VBS kids that came .It   was  really  cool  our Pastor  equipped us with a DVD  of the   15 min  family night presentation of all the kids from VBS  and  a bag of popcorn ( with church  address and  kids events that are coming up  at the church on it )  to give to the families  Ya know   Movie and popcorn as a gift ( I thought this was Brilliant  ) Plus It was nice to  see the kids again . Speaking of VBS  here is what our VBS director gave all  the teachers  this year in a  small  decorative  bag  ..  I look forward to all the  goodies  she gives us  cause they are SO cute .. But  I always wait until it  is all over to actually look at everything  cause  it makes me cry .. ( I am  such a  sap  on the last day of VBS  girls .. This  morning  I'm going to take Jessie for her 6 month  teeth cleaning and then  go on a  search for a new Bra for myself ... Now that should be fun HUH ? Hee! Hee!

Hubby's Haircut & Me ( Past & Present ) ...

 

As promised here is a photo of my hubby  getting his 1st haircut over in Iraq . The guy  cutting his hair is actually a barber back  in his home country( Masadonia ..Sp?)  BUT is working as a Electrician  over in Iraq with  KBR  like my hubby , Anyway  he told Rich  when ever he was ready for a hair cut he would do it  for FREE ( the Barber on base over there charges 3.00 ( WOWZIE 3 bucks ?)  What I thought was soo brillant of  them  is look at the  drape they are using .. Its a garbage  bag .. Can you  believe that ?   I really think I need  to send  some haircutting things over there Like   a water bottle and a  Drape  with some  combs maybe too .. Talk about roughing it HUH?  But hey what ever works right ?  and  anyway the  End result looks Fabulous dont you think .. My Honey bunch is sooo handsome .

Here is  a  couple photos Jessie took of  me on Sunday in between church services   when Rich called  us . He wanted    another photo  of me. and well this is what he got . As of Saturday this past week I lost  4.5 lbs  so that brings me to 31 lbs lost so far ..  YAHOO Praise God !!

Great news  from  Todd P.T yesterday My knee has reached 0 in the  extension Praise God   so this  Fabulous news means

NO more torcher  machine / Leg EX-Ten    machine ( remember that  thingy .. OUCHIE!! ) .. I was soo happy I cried again ..YUP,  But happy tears of course..

Ok  I seen  one of my  blogger friends Abra Leah wanted to see photos of me when  I  roller skated  many moons ago .. OH my your  really  asking alot to have these posted on the  WWW wink! wink!... One thing I would  proudly like to add  before we take a look at the photos ... is that My  wonderful Mom  made each and every one of my  skating outfits . Yes even my  Dance partner ( Alex )  tux for competition  ( see photo below ) .. Yes I  also   took Dance for  a while But My  1st love was Figure  skating .. I  dug through my photos  and   these  are the 3 I  am willing to post  Hee! Hee! Don't laugh to hard  girls .. Oh to be skinny like that again ..

Seems He never has his camera around to snap any , Its not because  I dont tell him ( I WANT PHOTOS ) Its  just that it is sooo dusty  there he is affraid to get the camera out and  about  to snap  alot of photos.. So I am   very thankful  for the one I  did get   at least  for now KWIM?  and of course more stamping from yours truly.  Pretty exciting  stuff  coming soon  HUH? :-)

Today starts the  last week of P.T  for my knee  I cant believe it  actually.  Todd has become one of  my cheerleaders   and I will miss  making him laugh .. Like when he says "I will see you tomorrow ".. I  come back with" Thanks for the warning " Hee! Hee!   All in good fun  of course  cause   we both  get a chuckle ..  I will  not miss  the P.T  but will miss  the Great Staff there especially Todd ..  Seems like  a Great time to make   a special Thank you  card  HUH?

All  you  sweet  girls  really now know to brighten up a day.  Thank you  from the bottom of my heart !!

I forgot to mention  our Pastor  threw out another excuse on why he thought it  wasn't a good idea to get slimed  on Friday night .. This one  was simular to the  doctors note on   a couple night before  But even funnier .. It said "Police report"  and on the inside it  said " Slime is a crime " OH my goodness   It had us all laughing.

7 Things to Brag on my self and MUCH MUCH more ( Long post today )..

Ok  as promised I   Got tagged by so many friends in  bloggerland  LISA,   ALEXANDRA,  KARI, I know I am missing a few others that tagged me , Please forgive me,So here it  goes.  this Tag go around is  bragging on myself  a bit .

1. Rich & I got married at the back on Aug 31st, 1988 

2. I accepted  Christ as my personal Savior on December 18th, 1994

3. I Became a mother on December  1, 1992  I was in the hospital  for  almost 2 weeks  prior  to having Jessie  cause my  water   broke  early ( Yup  I was in the Hospital  for Thanksgiving  1992)  ..  she ended up coming 1 month early  anyway .

4.I was regional  figure roller skating  champion in 1984

5. I drove to Mississippi all by myself to see Rich Graduate from A school in the US Navy  Back in  1988 

6. Before  Stamping  came into my life  I was really into  wood working .

7. This year marks the 5th year of me doing VBS music  with our  church .

Ok I extra : I  had lived in  Rhode Island ,  Mississippi , California, Memphis Tn , Puerto Rico

A Big Thank you to Debbie T , Peggy F, and Misty   for   such  adorable cards .. They sent these beauties   to me  when they purchased  my  retired stamp sets . So sweet of you  all to mail me such a awesome surprise  for me  and my mail box.  You all are very talented  stampers & Of course these photo's just do not  do them Justice  cause they are sooo much  prettier IRL. VBS UPDATE!

Ok  want to see who Got slimed  last night at VBS .. YUP  Our Pastor .. YAHOO  we  went over the amount we wanted to raise by 162.00 so this ment that Pastor  got to get slimed ..  here are some photos  of that . I thought I would share a couple  more  photos from last night ..   It was sooo awesome .. this was  just one of 4 classes  for Music  we had . This was the 3th & 4th graders (  Yup can you  spot me ??  I knew you could  Hee! Hee! Thats me in the pink Hat )   and this next photo  gives you  an idea   how  many kids we had .  We served Tacos  and BBQ Chicken right after the family  night presentation  and  even though you get an idea , But The photo did Not get everyone  in it .   look at all that food .. and just wait till you see the video .. Soooo SAD it over .. But there is always NEXT year  Praise God for that .. and the best Part Rich will be home to  get in on all the fun next year !!

Last day of VBS.. Boo Hoo!

Yup its Friday  and Boy  did this week flew by  in a flash . VBS is  over tonight ..  Its really  weird  But I am  pooped  and  yet  rejuvenated  all at the same  time .. One thing is for sure  is that   I will be  is  alittle  sad  VBS is over .. I  so Love  VBS every year and all the kids  we  reach.  Even  if it is One   person  that we reach for the Lord  There is a Party going on in HEAVEN & Thats  something to celebrate .. Tonight Pastor Brad   and  Mrs Robyn ( His lovely Wifey )  will be  making a  DVD  from all the photos  and  video  we  got  during VBS this year  and  showing  it  during our  family  night tonight ..  I  will try some how to  post it on my blog soon  If I can figure it all out .Last year after Our pastor  left  I kinda  winged  the  slide show  for our  Family night  which you can still view on the left hand  side of my  blog .. I just love it . All the   parents  and especially  the kids love  seeing themselves   up in  a video  especially those funny faces .. Its the highlight of the  evening thats for sure .  Then    With my  Music  class ALL my kids  4 year olds - 6th grade  get up on  stage and preform 3 songs from  what we did all week . I added a  touch of flair  to 2 of our  songs .. we added pom pom's   and of course  all the GIRLS totally  dig that ..Here is a photo of  a few of the  girls   you can see my mom and   you  can hardly  see me with my pink hat on But I am in there .. But what you can see really  great is how straight my  knee is now HUH? Ok maybe you cant  see it very good ..  Maybe click on the photo  to make bigger .. Plus  I got  PURPLE pom pom's   

For my  card today I used River Rock & Pink Passion Cardstock  along with my  Zoofari set  and of course I used my new love the  Three For you  punch with also my  white gel pen and  Black marker  for the tiny  dots  all over the background   The ribbon  I used  we  from Michaels  in the $1 bin  I found awhile ago which matches this color scheme  to a T .

Yesterday I received  the cutest  Cards from   my  blogger friends  that have purchased   some of my  retired sets  I have taken photos of them and  will show case  them this weekend .. Thank you  so Much girls ...

Case .. Copy And Save Everything.

Yup  I am up  to casing the  super  awesome samples in the new catalog .. I cased this   idea  with Loads of love  from Page  52 in the catalog .. I sooo love the   truck in the  1st place But adding the  cute little  trailer  just makes it even   better .. I  Used  Kraft Cardstock for the  truck and  trailer and then cut them out and  applied  them  to the  front with dimensionals .I also used  elegant eggplant  and  the  retired DS paper  Cambridge for the  small strip  located at the bottom, and  lots of Brads . I had to use  doggies  for  both  the truck and trailer instead of the trees   and  I didn't had the  wheel to  add the running  dogs so I just left them off .  I love the way this card turned out ..

Oh My goodness I  was   told last night that  The Tag  all my blogger  friends  are doing now  is a different one  from  last week ..OH NO ! Thank you   Alex, Lisa  and  I know there  are a couple more ..I seriously  thought this was the same tag  that I got  last week ..  sooo  I have to appoligize  to all My   blogger friends.   I am  totally out of the loop here I guess ..  Ok I will think of  7  things  to Brag on myself  ( this  will be alot HARDER  thats for  sure )   Next and share them with you .. OH gee whiz  I am sorry I dont remember everyone that tagged  me the  2nd time around .. Please forgive me

I have P.T this  morning  and  then  Next  week will be my last  week of PT  YAHOO!!  Gotta make Todd a  super  nice card  cause  seriously  he  has done so much  to help my knee and plus trim my hips  too ( go figure ) with those Rubber Band Stretches OUCHIE!!

I received  more Cards for the troops yesterday   Can you  believe it .. This batch came from My friend Mary Binder, actually this is her 2nd batch  she has sent me for our troops .. what a sweetie and   OH my  such Beautiful Cards too . Thank you  so Much Mary.

I thought  I would share  this photo of  what Linda and Steve made for VBS .  This Score board is sooo GREAT ..  It  even lights  up  How cute is that .. and  It is over  our  front  door  and  faces  the front of the church .. Its sooo  awesome .. and look  closely  you can see  the time on the clock  stands for Hebrews 12: 1-2  thats our memory verse this week  for VBS . Linda also made these turn  stiles  for  when the kids  enter and leave .. How stinkin cute  are these .. She made one  for each exit  in Both  buildings  HEY  did you Notice that each pew  has been  taped off  with masking tape to look like stadium seats sooo Cute huh?

Hard to Believe ..But it's TRUE.

ItsONLY been 8 weeks since my  knee replacement  surgery,  actually it was 8 weeks  exactly yesterday &   I had my  8 week follow up with my  doctor and  all is FABULOUS!!! Praise God !  But  what  else is  Hard to believe  Is  That I bought 2 Bella  stamps   a few weeks before my Surgery  and this  was the  1st thing I actually  stamped  with  them  that I  liked how it turned  out .. Of course  don't  go calling the SU! Police  just yet Cause everything else  I used  for this card  is SU!  which is My 1st  Stampin LOVE .I am not  quite sure why Its sooo hard for me to  use these Bella's ..  I love what  everyone does with them  But Man I  am just not getting it myself ..  Its the P-I-T-S I tell ya,Cause  the Bella's  are sooo cute ..  So until I  overcome my issues with  them I may  have the  only 2 Bella's  in the world  collecting  dust ..  I really have to play more with them I suppose. I did Put in a suggestion though  with Ms Bella herself  and asked  if  she would  design a GLITTER Bella  Now that might just do the  trick  for me .. Nothing  on that  suggestion yet BOO HOO!   

Ok  on to what I all used for this  cute card .. I used  my  Favorite New IN color  Groovy Guava  and  Soft sky  DS paper (  for background and also for Ms. Bella's Pants and Present .. Can you  tell ?)   & Card stock  along with Pixie pink  and  a  touch of  black GG ribbon  and  Card stock . and for the   adorable flowers I used the  new  Three for you Punch Kit   OOOHH I so Love this  kit .  All Rubber is die cut for you, You get  3 Stampin spots (  which 2 are of  the new IN colors w/ Black too )   and   a fabulous Punch  what more  could a  gal ask  for ..  and then finally I used  my  white Gel pen.

VBS FUN STUFF!

Last Night at VBS  was sooo  super fun  and Pastor Brad  gave us all a BIG laugh .. I must back up to  Monday night  1st. Ok Pastor Brad was telling all the childern  that if  they all reach a certain goal  in the offering  to help a missionary  family  he  would let us all   pour  Green SLIME on him  on Friday night    right after  our  family night presentation  Ok  fast forwarding it to last night . Pastor  Brad  was soo Funny  cause while   reminding the childern about  the mission money  goal  and him  being  slimed if this amount is reached by Friday . He all of a  sudden  pulls out a DOCTORS NOTE and shows it to all the kids . BUT the funny part is when he opens  up the Note and reads it to the kids ( Photo below says it all .. Hee! Hee! ) .  Pastor Brad of course asks them if they believe him and They all  say NO! so It looks like  Pastor  Brad  will be getting  slimed if we all raise  the certain amount by Friday  that is unless he can  come up  with another   funny excuse  to pull over on the kids tonight . Stay tuned ... Hey by the way do you all see that Blimp behind Pastor ? Its remote  controlled .. OH my its sooo awesome ..  Rich would have loved that thing .. Steve & Linda  bought it  and  Steve  has  the fun flying it all around .How cool is that to  go with our  Game Day Central   theme in  Sports . Ok  one more photo for the day .. 1st night  of VBS was  super  Great and  My room  for music  is  one of 2 classroom that have air conditioning  But  after the  1st round of kids came through( 4 rounds  total )   I sure didn't feel that air .. I was so hot  and was   sweating like crazy ..
WOWZIE have you seen the  counter today ..Its under 50 Now YIPPEE!!OH My Gosh 49 days until hubby comes home ...

Something about ...

Something about Doing a challenge even if it is past due  to be counted in a drawing  or whatever , its  something about   just doing it  that makes it  sooo FUN.. KWIM?  Today's card  was a challenge from BEATE'S weekly sketch  #8  . I had to  use the  super cute  doggie buttons My  Bestest  Gal Angie sent me  on this card  with my  Ruff Day  stamp set.. I  just cut the  button  loop off on the back side and used a glue dot  to adhere to the card ..  used my  mega giga  scallop punch  and  my new  soft sky cardstock &  DS paper  along with Chocolate  chip  CS.  Used my  white gel pen again ...

Guess what I got Saturday More  cards for the trrops .. the  most recent   batch came from my  Stampin friend  Lisa Somerville  Funny  how Lisa and I  became   Blogger friends  I have always admired Lisa's  work  and what a  Great Gal she is .. But  we  started our friendship of all things ..  talking about blogs on SCS . YOU  all Have to check out LISA'S BLOG she is one popular gal On SCS  and  of  course  is on the design  team for  Techniuqe  Junkies  newsletter  PLUS is  showcased alot on  the SU! showcase, But most of all she is a sweetheart  and so happy to have her  as my  friend . She has the cuttest photo of her  doggie  on her blog you all have to see it .. It is  the sweetest  thing .. I  think her doggie Lou and My Bowzer would be sooo cute together as swimming buddies with matching goggles.  ( makes me laugh ) Thanks  Lisa for  the Cards for the troops .. Its SUNDAY ...

I thought I would share a  6x6 page Jessie made for her summer  scrapbook she made ..  I just think this  page is  sooo cute ..  I love the bucket she  used and how she added  the bubbles and of course  glitter  to them ..  the photo is of  her  and a few other  kids  from the car wash  they did  a couple weeks ago  for  the youth group at church ..  I  read that  I had a request from Sandy Kay to post a   resent  photo of myself ... Well they are  not  very good  photos  But   I do have a couple . One from July 4th and  from yesterday   that Jessie snapped of me.  The 1st one is from   the  4th  I wore  my  fancy hat to church  that night ..Yup even my  church  friends  totally  get me with my hats  FUNNY HUH? I just love this hat  maybe  cause it  is super  dee duper  sparkly .. who  knows.. Don't mind the  funny  face. Jessie  told me to do it  wink wink . The next photo is from yesterday  Jessie snapped this  photo of me  at the  VBS kick off / Block party .. OH my   please don't pay any attention to my hair. OH my its a  Mess  .. Yes  I know this would have been a Great day  for one of my  fabulous Hats  Hee! Hee!..  So Happy Jessie  gets a  few photos of me   now and again so I can  email them to my honey bunch. Happy Saturday ..07-07-07

Hi Friend .. 

That Reminds me of Nancy Grace.   Have any of you ever  watch her show on CNN? OH my I love that woman , she is tough  as nails .. anyway  she address's all her  callers as FRIEND..  Today is a jammed packed day with  kicking off VBS with  our tailgate party  from 10-12 pm and then following that is our church block  party  for the rest of this soon to be HOT Saturday . Yup gonna be a  hot weekend  in the 90'S  High near 100 on Sunday, I feel a little bit of the  sun on my  shoulders coming on today , we will see .. My  great friend Linda will be  doing  the cotton candy machine  along with snow cones too YUMMY! I will have to control myself .. Aint nothing wrong with taking  some (  just alittle bit )   cotton candy for tomorrow ( since its our Off  day to eat  whatever we want  ya know ?) Hee! Hee! ) Ok  onto my card. I used  Kraft CS  along with black and tempting turq. and the  FRIEND I used the doodle  alphabet  and the  small flowers are from the  doodle that set .. Not one of my Favorite cards But  its kinda cute  .

Gee  it seems this week went by so fast maybe its cause Jessie and I are hitting the gym  3-4 days a week now  and  we  vary our times that we go  depending on my PT appt's. We  hit the gym  right after My PT on PT days   and  Non PT  days we  hit  the gym  at 8:30pm  I seem to like the evening alot  since it isn't  so busy . Just  Hope the rest of the 52 days  go  just as quick. This week I lost another 3 lbs YIPPEE!! So my total  weight loss is 27 lbs  so far .. Jessie is not up yet   so I dont have her  loss yet  for the week .. She  just dosen't get up as early as I do ..

Mr. Crabs attacks again ...

Well It seems I was on a roll  to get into  some challenges this week and this  card is just that.. I  joined in on the fun  for the  Challenge  of the week  with Beth and the  gang over  at SCS   this one is FS21 Arrrrrgh Ahoy there.... and here is one of    Faith's Card I some what cased  for my  Mr Crabby card Along with this ONE  from Faith too  .. I kinda  smooshed them together  to get my  1 finished card Hee! Hee!  ..  For some reason  when ever I put these  3 colors together I get a Halloween feel  even though thats not  what this  card is  But thats what It feels like .. I just love  them colors  ( Green galore, Orchild opulence  and Black ) together . Maybe this could be  for a  really Scary  Scary  birthday Hee! Hee!  Just kidding ..I used  my  sq mega  giga  scallop punch  to hold the  the  main image  and my Karen  foster snap  stamps  for the  snappy, snappy snappy snappy  Birthday  . Lets not for get the cuttle bug  either ..  still love'n my  Bug ..

Well it seems yesterday I was  tagged by  a  few of my blogger  friends DAWN & ABRA LEAH & JENNIFER W .. Thank you  girls .. xoxxoox  This  tag is   a toot on myself and I am to  list 7 things  about myself  .. Gee whiz you all know  most of  everything about me  don't you ?? Ok lets see..

1.Currently My toe nails are painted Black ( Thanks to Jessie )

2. Rich and I are paying off my 2004 Grand Prix  next month( Aug)   2 years ahead of time

3. I always No matter what Put my  right shoe on  1st in the morning  I don't know why I do this  but I do  weird huh?

4. I love thunderstorms  especially with lighting ..  I don't know why

5. I don't clean my  stamps  right after I use them , I wait until I  totally  put them away .

6. My latest Favorite  show  is  "The Biggest Loser"  which I am catching in Reruns  right now on  the Style network .. The next season premier is Sept 11th  on NBC .. Oh my  goodness this show is sooo AWESOME!! A  real  motivator  for losing weight girls  ..

7. My ears  are pierced  3 times  but  with   the left ear I have  one  at the  very top pierced  too  so I guess you  could say I have 4  in my left ear .

Jen's Sketch challenge

Oh my goodness   why OH why  Haven't I been doing  Jen's Challenges all along ..  What a " Take my hand and hit my  forehead ".. Duh moment ! I just love  Jen she is the sweetest  Gal . I  decided  a couple days ago I  just had to  do her challenge this week ( Her  card  is sooo cute )  Plus maybe I was  up  for a  wee challenge  this week  and  really  since the news  broke about MR Crabs I just knew what  set I was going to be using  for my card .. YIPPEE!!! Long live Mr Crabby pants .. Speaking of Mr Crabs .. You all are sooo awesome   for  emailing me  with the  GREAT news  cause  Not only  does Mr Crabs  know I love him But  so do all of  YOU!! and  apparently  so does Stampin' Up!  Ok  on to  my  card .. I had to use  all the new In colors  Purely  Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi & Groovy Guava  and whisper white  too ..  how did I  get my  crabs  to hold  Claws ( hands )   so cute huh?   I  stamped Mr crabs  1st on whisper white  then did the masking technique  and  stamped again  to make sure they were holding claws ..( This cracks me Up.)  I used  the  slit punch for the  side  panels of scallops  and I used the  Mega giga  sq  scallop punch for  all the little  pieces ( I just  cut  the edges of the  sq and added them to  each piece ) . I also used my  Karen Foster snap stamps  for the saying .. OH yea itty bitty backgrounds  was used  behind my  Crabby Couple , and of course the white gel pen  added  just alittle  flair  to  the finished card ..But its the googly  eyes that make  this card sooo cute IRL . I am  sending this  to my hubby  since  he  asked me the other night if  all he does is   gripe and complain  about everything over there ..  so He  should get a kick out of it, Cause I would be Crabby with him any day .

I also wanted to  tell you all  a BIG  Thank You  for  giving my  retired sets a new home .. I am also throwing in a  surprise  in each  package that goes out .. Until  supplies  run out that is .. Hope you all Like May Kay goodies(  Samples , Lip  stick  holders, Make up bags, travel size in  MK goodies  etc...) .. I have so many things  just sitting  in a Box  so I thought I would  share it with you ..I will cover postage fees  that   are over  your  postage  charge  for just the stamps .. Thank you all so Much .

Happy 4th of July everyone !!!

"Oh Say can you see  By the "Dawns " early Light " Ok  I will spare you all of my  singing  ..  Today I wanted to share   alot  of photos  and  this super cute Card Susan Gave me  the other day  for the BIG day !! I  have to tell you I added  the dazzling  diamonds  to her card  Only  cause she said  she would have "IF" she had  her own Dazzling  diamonds .. OK Pick me up off the floor  and  shake me  cause I  really   didn't think  there was anyone  ALIVE that didn't  own dazzling  diamonds .. I know  you all  thought that too HUH?  So lets all encourage Susan  to get  some  dazzling  diamonds  on her next Order ..

Even though  we celebrated  our 4th  this past Saturday out at the lake. I thought I would share a few of  my photos  from  the day we had out there    today  since today is the 4th Right ?  Ok  1st on the  agenda is  My ever so Cute  Bowzer ..I swear  whats a holiday without a  cute photo of him  all decked out in  his 4th of  July  goodies .. Ok actually  those  sparkly thing amabobs  are   Mine But  they look  so much  better on him .. He is sooo cute  posing  for me  HUH?  He seems to be thinking " I sure wish Mom would hurry Up and  take the photo already " Ok  then of  course  a day doesn't go by with out Jessie  and Bowzer together in  a photo  But please notice   something cute  about  this photo of Bowzer ... I dont know what it is lately  with him  he seems  to do the  craziest  thing when we snap photos of him.  Once it was Jessie  taking a photo of him and  caught him  blinking  remember that one Blinking Bowzer ? Well  Now  I  got him with his  Tongue  sticking out ..OH my gosh  I almost PIMP's  laughing at  this photo .. he is such a Ham .

This  cute photo is of Jessie and Andrew the night of the  fireworks ..   some of the kids   got  swords that light up  bright  blue  and of course this photo  you can't tell But  they glow  really  pretty  at night .. One thing  I must say  about Jessie and Andrew  is Jessie  calls Andrew  her Rent-a-dad .. I guess you  could say Poor Andrew is the  fill in until  Rich comes home.. ( which have you  looked at the counter lately ) in  55 Days  YAHOO!!  So Funny  at the fathers day chilli cook off  Jessie  asked   Andrew "  Hey Rent-a-dad  can I have 20.00 for  the mall "  We all laughed  and  of course  Jessie didn't get her  rent-a-dad  to give her 20.00.

Here is the fire  that Jessie and her  friend Kayla made  for  cooking  the 21 ears of  corn on the cob  I brought  for all of us ..   of course the  fire had to burn down  alot before  we  put on the  corn But OH my goodness that corn was sooo awesome ..

Then there's  this photo Do you notice  anyone   that stand out at ya??  YUP theres BEN ~ BEN~ BEN ~BEN (  the Boy Jessie is gaga over )  he is the one with a gray shirt on  behind Jessie and thats Dylan  poking  the  sword  at Jessie.

Ok  I must wrap up  with a couple  firework photos I took. Normally I am not one to take  photos of  the fireworks  since by the time I  do snap  the  photo the  best part is over ..But I did  end up getting a few   taken .. Hope you all  have a Happy 4th of July  " From sea to shining  Sea"  TA DA I sang a whole  song  without you even  knowing it  Hee! Hee!

Jacobs ladder..

I had to make my very own Jacobs ladder  as soon as I seen the tutorial done by BEATE for SCS. The    Greatest  part was sending it  to  my  friend ANGIE   2 weeks ago .. I was alittle worried  since it was my 1st one I ever made  But it  turned lout so stinkin cute ..I could hardly  wait  for her to get it ..  I was quite surprise on how much ribbon  this  little  booklet took   and was worried  that the set I choose ( Zoofari)   was not  going to work with  what I had envisioned,  But it worked out perfectly  as far as  having  a animal  for each panel  and  well  I thought I would share it with you  today   I used alot of my  retired sets I had to  express  " FRIEND".  I think it may show up better if you  click on each photo to view  what the sayings are . But I sure do love the way it  turned out .. Not to sure  when I will be making another one  But is was  sure fun .

Bring out the animals ...

Ok I had to  set some time aside  to play with my  Zoofari  set again  this past Saturday afternoon ..  I made  this   cute card  with no idea where I was  actually heading when I 1st started making it I knew I wanted to use my new  designer  paper Soft sky  with this card  but thats about it .. and well this is  what happened in the end . Of course  what I think is  the cutest thing  about this card is  his gleaming  smile .. Reminds me of that  Orbits gum commercial .. makes me laugh . I also had to use   my new  rhinestone brads  I even added 3  of those babies .I was really in the sharing mood to add 3 HUH? Hee! Hee!  Lots of  doodles  all over  with my  white gel pen . I also used the new  Wild Wasabi cardstock too. Love that  color ..

Man this weekend flew  by so fast so many things  going on & this past Saturday night out at the lake was fun  I will share  some  pic's  from that day  on Wednesday ( July 4th and all ya know ) ..   But  what makes  this  weekend  flying by  even better is because  its  alot  closer to hubby coming  home  OH YEA!!!  OH my  we are under 2 months now ..

I am sooo excited .

How  awesome is this card girls .. I  so love making these double slider cards . alot of fun and  alittle bit of a  challenge also  when I made my 1st one .. I just love Diane's Card  she did a beautiful   work of art!! Thank you  so Much Diane  for your  awesome card and  super sweet note inside .. your  a sweetie pie.
