BIG DAY!!!

Yes  Today is the BIG day...  Jess and I will be leaving very shortly  to go get my honey bunch  at the airport .. I have had this moment  and what it  is  going to be like playing in my mind for  weeks , Its hard to believe it is actually happening TODAY!!! Thank you  Lord !  This  time  will be different  since I have to share him  with  so many other people that love him too .. alot different when we were  in the Navy and  away from family  & friends when he would  return home from deployment thats for sure .. I am not sure exactly  when I will be  back on to post  to my blog  But  I will return very soon  with  tons of photos  to share with you all .I promise .. so stay  tuned...:-)

I just have to share  one of my  favorite cards  with all of you  before  I leave . This  card is using the  technique Embossing resist  and   this was   the very 1st card I made  when I received  the new goods  from the  holiday mini ( starting  Sept 1st)  The  snowflakes are from the set called Snow burst  and  are embossed in clear  over top of the  Jumbo wheel SNOW  inked  in wild wasabi . I also  added  lots of gold  eyelets,  I guess I was in the  mood to use my  crop-a-dile .I then  used  River Rock ink with my  dauber  and applied ink all over  the  main focal area  alot heavier  over the  embossed snowflakes .. Then stamped the  tree from  season of Joy  I cut that out and   adhered it to  my card with a dimensional . Thanks for  peeking in today and I will see you all very soon . Off to get  beautified for Hubby .I can't wait to see his Handsome face..

I recieved  these  beautiful cards  in  my mail box  and  have to show them off .. The 1st  one  is from Darlene B.  and  her  beautiful card came all the way from Malaysia  when  she given   a  couple of my retired sets a new home .Thank you Darlene  for this  awesome card ..

This next beauty came  from Emily Bradley   she sent  me this  beautiful Thank you   card  and telling me how much she loved  the scissor charms  she ordered .. Thank you  for your sweet note inside too girlie ..

Tomorrow is the BIG day girls ..  Tomorrow will be   a early  morning  for Jessie & I.  I wonder if  we will  get any sleep  tonight  .. Last minute things to do today .. Funny I was sooo excited to get my  computer back durning the day  since Jessie went back to school  and I haven't  been on much  at all  with  getting everything in order . Thank you all  for  your shared  excitement on our  Very  special  Day tomorrow . I am so Thankful for all your  Prayers ..You all have been the  sweetest ..

Whirlwind weekend !

Look what I got  from my stampin Friend Pam Miller  she & I belong to a  Angel Group and she sent me  this super  cute angel tag . I just love the  googley eyes  such a sweet card and Thank you  so Much Pam . Seems like Pam and I  go  way back .I have been on the  SU angels  group  from almost 4 years now  and I  have had the pleasure of meeting Pam IRL a couple times  at the Holland seminar  with Jackie Bolhouis ( sp?)  Thank so much Pam  Love  my  card . Oh my  what a whirl wind of a weekend .. I  got my  club order in  On Friday ( of course right before I was leaving for  my 2nd  club night  with my East siders ) so I  was out and about  delivering everyones goodies Saturday morning .. Then  Whitneys Graduation  was a Great  success  NO rain  since it cleared up in the afternoon Praise God .  Here is cute Whitney  in her  party dress  Please notice her  super cute  Wrap  Barbie shoes ( at least thats what they reminded me  of ) :-)  OH my  Her mom( Linda )   and Dad ( Steve ) and my dearest friends  had so much food  It  really blew my mind .  They also have   2 sweet doggies  and here is one of them with me ( SAMSON). Is he the sweetie  thing ever ( of course besides My  sweet Bowzer Hee! Hee! ). (  See I told you  it cleared up cause that sun was right in mine & Samson's eyes Hee! Hee!  wish I had my  shades on  :-) Then yesterday at church we had a fellowship dinner  honoring  all the Sunday school teachers ( new  school  year  will be in transition  for SS classes   next Sunday ..)  Linda ( Yup Whitney's Momma )  did a baby photo guessing game   so Much  fun  everyone had to guess who was who by the baby photos  and  then list what grade /s they taught .   Here is  one of the 2 pages that were handed out to everyone  Can you spot me ??? How about my hubby ???? I am # 6  and my hubby is #2  AAAAWWWWW  we're so cute huh? Of Course  me and hubby would be the  only ones in our  swimsuits  Hee! Hee!

  Our  church fellowships  are always the sweetest  and the best time .

Today is Jessie's 1st day back to school...YAHOO I get my  computer back :-) and  also some free time to  get  cleaning my house  before Rich arrives .. OH my  He will be flying into Dubi  tomorrow  and  then onto Amsterdam  Then  finally  arriving  at Metro   on Wednesday . His  journey home  started on Friday  with 5 days of flying  just to get home . 1st stop  a  helicopter  ride to a new base( DQ.. NO not dairy Queen  :-)  he probably  wishes )   that is 45 Min's away from where  he had been in Ar Ramdi . He was suppose to fly into Baghdad Yesterday  But that was canceled  Not sure  why  But maybe  for reasons Rich  couldn't  talk about  over the phone( I really  dont know ?)

OH my  goodness girls  We are down to  48 House  till he  is home ( Can you believe it ?) .. Can you hear my heart beating super  fast .. I am sooo excited. Jessie  said this weekend that when we  drive to the airport she will wear gloves ( WHY  you ask ?)  cause she is  trying to grow out her nails and don't want to  bite them all off  on the way to the  airport.. She is too funny!!

Season Finale  of ARMY WIFES on lifetime was on last night OH my I So Love this show ..   ( Love  Trevor and Roxy  especially) Sad its  season is over But it brings me closer to LOST!! YAHOO!!  Who else is hooked on Army Wifes ?? LOVE IT!!

Club Card For August ....

Hi girls :OH boy we got  some terrible  storms last night  But  stamping  still continued Hee! Hee!  everything is alright  here at my house But  It doesn't look  to good else where  in Michigan ( Thank you  for  emailing me  Dawn your  so SWEET!) . Since  my clubs are done  this monthI figured I would show  you at  least one of  the cards we all made this month (ok both if you  look at Robyn below  Hee! Hee! ) ..Of course showcasing the  Three for you Punch this month cause  of the  special SU!  is running  until the end of this month (  you still have time  to get it .. But hurry )  I used soft Sky  card stock  along with  soft sky  DS paper   along with  whisper white  card stock .. Really this  card is sooo  simple and  sooo elegant looking to me  IRL  I used the  tiny friend  stamp that comes with the Three for you punch kit   stamped is soft sky ink  also . I  also used the  corner rounder for the  end  of the card ( love this )  and added a  flower punch out    for each scallop  and also along  with the  strip of whipser white  in the center of card .. White gel pen was used to add  the  tiny  flower  centers . Then I added  some white GG ribbon .

  OH Yes I get to show off  my  friend  ROBYN with her very 1st  stamped cards she  has ever made .  She did a Fabulous Job  and  I loved having her  over with all my stampin Queens.Robyn is the sweetest  gal I Know . Looking forward to many more  fun inky times with her :-)

Here is Jessie with her school locker she got on  Thursday at Orientation.Hey notice the PURPLE Lockers Gotta love them ..  At least I do Hee! Hee!  ( her school colors are Purple and Gold ) Todays is Whitney's Graduation party  This is sure to be a Great time . ..  Update  on weight loss: I loss another 3 lbs this morning  so the total  is 39 lbs lost  YAHOO! Pop Up turorial

I have  had quite a few of my  blogger girls  want  the directions for this pop up so I thought Why not  do a tutorial  for you all on it .. ok  you will need   your cutter , bone folder , sticky strip  and of course  card stock and  a  stamp set to  decorate . and  I used  white gg ribbon with mine today so if you may want  that also :-). Remember you can click on any  photo and  view larger . Also  I have added the  quick link  to this turorial under  Dawns  Turorials  on the left hand side  for future  use .

ok  you will cut your  base card for your pop up at 4 1/4 X 11"  you will score  at one end as shown in photo at 1", 2 3/4 "  3 3/4"  and then at 5 1/2"   

Then  flip to  score the other end the  same  way  as shown in photo #2

Next  you will  cut  your pop up slit on the 5 1/2  score line ..  I cut mine at 3 1/4 "  doesnt  really matter how big or  small you  cut this, Its totally up to you . Just DON'T  cut all the way across

Now you  will  fold all your  score lines  & also  add  your sticky strip  to both  ends where  the 1" score line is as shown in photo.  This  is also the time   to will stamp the  base  of your card . I am using the new  holiday mini  set Seaon of Joy 

Ok now measure  your  cut line and this will be your  main size   so your pop up  can slide through . Make sure to cut  smaller then the  slit  so it slides smoothly ( Dawns  Side note  for my  whisper white  pop up piece  it measures 2 3/4 X 5  1/4  the purely pomagrante  piece   to layer my whisper white onto measures 3" x 5 1/2 ) Stamp your  pop up piece  before you insert  or go to next step .

Ok now that  you have your  pop up piece  cut and stamped  you will slide  this piece  from the back side of your base card through the  cut slit  center  as shown in photo ... Make sure your  stamped images are all on the  same side   Here is a  view of what it looks like from the  back side adhere  the  center pop up piece  to one  of the  sides with sticky  strip ( Place the pop up piece right to the edge of the 1' score  line. Click to enlarge photo )   it will look like the  photo of the back side .

  Ok now  line up   both  ends   that has  sticky  strip and  adhere  together..( as shown in photo ) This will secure  the pop up and  will make it  work  when you open and closed your pop  up .

You did it ! Yahoo!!  Here this is what your card will look like  opened  up and sitting upright . To add ribbon  just feed  underneath  and wrap around to front  and tie  easy  peasy Right ?  Here is a  photo of the side view. This card  will fold  down  flat and  will fit in your standard size envelope( as shown in photo) .

A new stamp set at work ..

YAHOO I  stamped with my new goodies the night I got them, Yes did you notice I said  the NIGHT I got them .. Yup my UPS man  always delivers my goodies  way after 6 :00pm  almost 7:00pm.   Oh if he would  only make my house his 1st stop of the day this would make me so very happy :-)  I  used my new set Season of Joy ..  which I  pre ordered  from the new Holiday mini which is available  Sept 1st  to everyone ( See thats another perk you get for being a demo  (  we get to pre order ) wink wink! Plus you get  a set of  Full size ink pads  when you purchase the  starter kit  through Sept .Trust me  when I say  that  you will wish you would have  be come a demo sooner :-)   anywho .. back to  todays card . I used  Groovy Guava  and Purely  Pomegranate  ( again .. Yes I love this color combo ).  and I used the 1 1/4  and 1 3/8 circle punches  for the bottom edge ( I layered the groovy Guava   inside  my card  to  have it show through  the  punched  out circles, and of course  my white gel pen .. For the  added  color to the  stamped images I  just  rubbed groovy guava  ink with my  dauber  randomly  across  the whisper white  after I stamped the image's ..  Kinda brings it all together KWIM?

Tonight is  Jessie's Orientation  at school . She is actually looking forward to going back to school  But maybe its Because  it will be closer to when Rich comes home .. This weekend  we have lots of things planned  so I know it will go by quickly  Thank  goodness :-)

Hey nothing gets by  you  girls HUH?  I did change my  banner on my blog a couple nights ago But changed it back cause it made   the reading area way to Big  you would have to always  move the  slide bar( at bottom )   to read the whole post so I changed it back to  my  favorite one ( at least for the time being Hee! Hee! ) Thanks  for noticing  girls

Hostess cards & more ...

This past Friday  I gave This pack of 10 cards to my Hostess Susan . I used In the spotlight  and the new scallop  punch ( which works Fabulous with this  lg  stamp ) . Ink  I used was Groovy Guava (  a strip of CS in this color too was added ) and  Purely Pomegranate I love the way they turned out and was  fun stamping them . The Warm wishes  stamp came from the set Hugs & wishes . I then used my  white gel pen to add  some  doodles ( of course )  I also recieved this  super  cute card from Emily  when she had ordered some scissor charms  this past week .. She even added glitter to the tiny flower. Thank you Emily Your'e so  sweet.

I  will be doing another tutorial  .. I have  had a lot of requests for this one  Card in my Mr Crabby pants gallery so Stay tuned for that some time this week .

Sunday   right before  Sunday school  while we were  waiting for all my kids to show up my Mom  wanted to have me show her how Jessie and Rich  take photos of themselfs with a camera  so She handed me her camera  and  I snapped away   Not really knowing  what kind  of pics I would  end up with  since I am not very good  with taking pic like this But  after this 1st one I took of myself ..  3 of my kids thought it would be funny  to hide behind me  and  give me  rabbit  ears ..  Of course this next one shows my newly found rabbit ears  much better But toally  cut off   the bottom of my face Hee! Hee! .. I guess that proves I should have  had someone else take the photos . Yesterday I got my preorder from the Holiday mini WOWZIE I had totally  forgot  about them being  die cut .. Had them put together in  No time YAHOO! Gotta love that  cause it was  quicker to get to stampin   right ?

Cards for the Troops Sunday Showcase Gallery & More ( Tad bit long today )..

Today I wanted to highlight  some of the fabulous cards   you all sent in for the troops ..  I can  now say I Have 9 boxes left to send out .I have paired up  all the remaining cards  I had  with envelopes  that you all  had sent in  and or  sent money to help this cause Thank you all so much.  Please take a look  at  THE BEFORE  photo  and Now look at  what we have  left .. Every  single card  has a envelope now Praise God! .. Thank you all  who  helped on this  envelope  mission also.  The out pour of Love  was Enormous  Thank you all so very much  from the bottom of my heart  girls. Our troops  just love  the cards  . Rich will be taking  at least a couple boxes back with him when he  returns to Iraq in September  and  He also says he has more  photos  for us  when he comes home .. stay tuned . I think I will  showcase the cards for the troops  on Sundays for  a wee bit  until  the  photos I have on file have all been showcased .. How does that sound ? There is NO way I could  add watermarks to  the photos of  each card But if you spot your's  or  a friends  please post a comment  and let me know .  since  I had  dumped  the thousands of cards out on to my living room  floor    everyones cards  got all mixed up in the bunch  so I have no idea who's is who's ..   so  thats  why I  just  added the  Cards for the  troops  watermark to all photos . I can't hardly stand it  girls ..  seriously  I am  soooo EXCITED!   All I want to do is kiss him all over his  beautiful face ..  Hey girls do me a favor  and Kiss your  all over  your hubby's  face and tell him how much you love him , You  dont have to say I asked you too either  Wink wink ! .. Yesterday was  the car  wash for Jessie and  her classmates   here  are a couple photos of  that  fun day  raising money for their  Senior  trip in 2010.. Hummm Maybe  a Disney Cruise ... Ok just one more Photo  K?  here is Jessie and I  at the car wash yesterday  too .. Man she is  sooo tall and I am sooo short .. Look  she is showing  some PDA  ( Public  display of Affection )  to her Momma  AAAugh.

Show and Tell

I had a  special request  for  showing Irdescent Ice   for my  East Side club this month So I will be demoing this card  for both clubs  this month ..

super  super  sparkly and oh so  easy and fun ..  I just love this set Garden whimsy .. One of my  highly  favored  sets  this new SU!  catalog year .. I especially love the  2 sayings in this set . This card  has  already  been  sent to my  favoritest Cousin  (Wink wink ! )   for her birthday    this past  August 3rd .  She once made a comment  that  I didn't had a spec of  glitter to a card I made her in the past,   and  well  lets just say that  was the  last time that will ever happen . So  this card  just had to   scream of glitter for her   and I really think it fit the bill ..  Yesterday was  another  Great mail day yesterday I  received my  Rak club goodies  from  Florence  Savarese  (  check out her blog  you will love it  too )   She  was  paired  up with me  for Jen's ~JT Rak  club for August ( It was a secret until  yesterday  when I got her  goodies ) YAHOO look at all the goodies she sent me .. She   also mentioned   My Anniversary too  in her note .. Thank you so Much Florence .. I just love everything ..

Happy Friday girls...

  For our club night   a  few  weeks ago Harriet gave us all this   super cute folder with all  kinds of goodies inside .. what a sweet   gift  we all got from Harriet ..Thank you girlie ..  and then last week  Harriet  brought over these  3 Candy bars she made  ( Yes Harriet is a Glitter Queen  also )  and cased the idea from  our  Stampin Success magazine .. She gave one to me , Jessie and  my mom  are they cute or what .. Thank you   again Harriet they look YUMMY!!  ..  Our  club meeting  was  alot of fun . Here are  the cards my girls  made that evening. We always have so much fun on our  club night .. Something cute ..

  Well I had big plans  for this  ensemble  But  I have since changed my mind a thousand times.. Any who I   made this cute   box/ purse with bashful blue  CS  and   made this  matching  lip balm holder to go inside .  I seen these DIRECTIONS from Renee  over at SCS and thought I would  give it a try, as cute as  it is,  It is a little  tricky .. But then again maybe its  cause I was using a  dull  blade with my hobby knife .( Making note to myself  to order more refills )  I just love  how  they both turned  out . I also used my  retired Star punch from SU!  and  did the masking technique  for the front  panel on my  purse  with my  star punch outs .  The saying is from  one of our Sell-a-brations  sets this past  Jan / Feb  called "Happy Harmony "I also used the  flowers from  the hostess set In the Spotlight  for the background on my  lip balm holder   with of  course adding  extra dots with my  white gel pen .   I  also   took a  photo of the side  view of the purse  since thats  cute too with all the  stars on the  sides .

Then here is the  lip balm holder up close  and personal  all by itself .  I just love  how  the lip  balm Holder turned out .. cause for awhile there I wasn't  to sure  what was  going to happen . and here it is  with it opened . Thanks  so  much  Renee  for  the  directions on your lip balm  holder .. It is sooo cute .

A Rak for Jen ...

Oh  I just think this  bear is sooo cute ..  remember me mentioning  I had won Jens  blog candy  and I  made a quick card with the  stamp   that was in the  bunch of goodies I won from her .. Well this is  what I made and it has already been sent to Jen and has been received .. It was Perfect that the  1st card I made  with  the  stamp should go  to her .. She is such a sweetheart  too girls ..  She makes me laugh .. which is  always a  High standard for me  in pickin my  friends  Hee! Hee!   I also used my  SU! set which  is retired " Cute converse"  for the All  you need is love  and of course  my white  Gel pen  for the doodles ... Man I love that pen .  Color Card stock I used was Pixie pink and  lavender lace with Black .I just love how this card turned out . and I  can see me using this stamp  alot of many cards  Thanks again Jen .Yesterday's  Knee  Doc appointment went  great .. I go back for my 1 year appointment  now .. YIPPEE!! Gotta love those post  surgery appointments  cause  they are included in my  surgery  cost  so NO  office  visit co pay  YAHOO! While I was there  I had to swing in  and say Hi to Todd and the gang  since the P.T  office is right in the  same suite  It  was great to see Todd  and the gang  yesterday also.Speaking of surgery costs  My knee I just had done  was 20,000 dollars less than my 1st one I had  done ... Not exactly  sure why that was  except  maybe it was cause I was awake  during surgery this time  and my   hospital stay was only 2 days instead of 4 like the last time ..BUT 20,000 dollar difference ..YIKES!!  That  sure is a HUGE  difference HUH? I am Praising God  for everything ..

FRIEND..

I  just love the Three  for you  Punch and I had to make another card  to showcase this  fabulous tool . I  used the  flower stamp that come in this  punch kit   But for the background  I use itty bitty backgrounds. I also used  vellum Cardstock  for the  background  and also on  the overlay on top of the flowers ( with a white gel pen dot in the center )  .. The Friend stamp  that was used  on the stem was also in this kit ..   Cardstock I used was Wild wasabi and  Groovy guava . I  made the grass  by cutting thin slits  into a piece of scrap card stock .

Yesterday I ended up getting a  cortisone shot in  2 of my  fingers and Really it didn't  hurt  Just burned for a  second when the  liquid was going in .. I really hope this helps with the swelling .. Mainly in my ring  finger so I can wear my  wedding ring again instead of around my neck on Rich's neckless ..  1st thing  Dr said when he seen me was   WOW You have lost alot of weight..   he laughed and  said  see  I noticed and I am a man ..  ( Update on weight loss this past Saturday  another 2 lbs gone  so I lost the 36 lbs total so far  )  I  am guessing this was  a comment  meant for his nurses  cause they all laughed . Today I go  see  Dr. Nicholas ( my knee surgeon )  for my 3 month follow up  . I'm excited to show  him How great my knee/s  are doing .  This should be the last visit to him  until next year I think . OH my goodness  girls we are   2 weeks away ( +a few hours ) until hubby is home .. Oh my  I can't believe it .. There is excitement in the air thats  for sure It so Funny   at  church / post office  everywhere  I go everyone asks me how many days ??

This weekend was another Great mail day I recieve Sandy Dayhoff's Cards for the troops  which  are sooo amazing . Thank you Sandy

I also recieved  Corinne's blog candy  I won .. Oh my  she is such a sweetie ..  she  sent the beautiful Frame  with all the goodies  But she also sent  name tags   for each of us  .. She worte the sweetest  note in her card  and  on  the back of the name tags  she  wrote  each of us  her favorite  Scripture .. Thank you  so Much Corinne .. Thanks for stopping by. Wild about YOU!

  Wow it has been forever since I used old olive Card stock  so I thought I would  dig  some out and make this card ..  There was a time I  always used  Old olive  But since the new colors  were added  a year or so ago .. I love certainly celery  alittle more  than Old Olive ( Ok alot more ). For this card I  also used the Zoofari  set  and a couple of punches ..  the  1 1/4  circle punch ,  1 3/8  sq punch  I colored in my   zany   critters with mellow  moss  and old olive  SU! markers  and then added  some dots  with my   white gel pen . Hard to see But I also added  tiny old olive  marker  dots around the  critters  also . I thought the  Wild about you  stamp  was fitting for this card  cause it  reminds me  of a  Wild Zoo of  animals. Just a wild and crazy card today ..Today I have an appointment with my RA doc  and then tomorrow   my  3 month  follow-up with my knee Surgeon. Enjoy your day and thanks for looking

Happy Friday with one of my favorite techniques ...

I just love  this technique  called " Embossing resist" .  Actually   we will be making  something similar to this  using  this  technique  at my  club meetings this month ..   But   with a   twist  on the club cards ..  All I did for this card was  ran the wheel in  versa mark across  glossy Cardstock  and then  embossed  with clear embossing  powder. I then  used my  daubers  in  Pixie pink and Only orange  and  colored  on top of the embossed image.  I  also had to use  my  Three  for you Punch  since   there is a Great Special right now from Stampin' Up!  with this  punch kit , so  wanted to  show  this awesome punch off a bit .. I  so love this punch .  I also used the  slit punch  for the scallops  and  also my white gel pen to  dot the centers of the flowers .. The wheel is from the  Hostess sets level 3  called " All about Gratitude" which  comes with 2 wheels and a  stamp set  all together.. gotta love that  right  girls ? Cant  wait  for Club nights  girls , see you all soon  Stampin Queens ..

Busy day yesterday ...

Oh my  after we got the  school books yesterday  then we  went and  got  school supplies  and  then  went to lunch  I was Pooped to say the least .  seems funny But  I didnt go to the gym yesterday( BUMMER )  But with all that walking I was  still able to squeeze in my 10,000 + steps .. School stuff is all done, now we  wait for  school to start on the 27th  BUT Jessie will be only  going  for 2 days of  her 1st week  since  Her dad  will be coming home  during this 1st week of school  (  19 days  and some hours YIPPIE!!)  Seriously I  think she is double excited  since dad will be home  and  Plus she gets to miss  3 days of school .. What more can a 14 yr old ask for right ? Those 1st 3 days  Hubby comes home  we have plans  to head to Cedar point  with our Church youth group and  then  to celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary  on the 31st.. Yes I will be kidnapping hubby to a secret location  for this night . With Grandma  babysitting  Our 2 kids ( Jessie and  Bowzer Hee! Hee! ) . Needless to say I am not  to sure how much blogging will be going on  these 2 weeks when Hubby is home BUT I will pop in  with photos & more to share   of course :-) .  When I got home yesterday  from running  around  with Jessie , I had  Jen's Blog Candy That  I won  waiting for me  YAHOO for me ..  riped into all those goodies OH my  so many  Fabulous things  I am soo excited to  use  BUT Must admit  I   stamped a  card right away  with the super cute teddy bear  stamp I got  from her, stay  tuned for that  sweet card . Just love that bear .. Thank you once again Jen!!

Todays  Card I  used  the goodies  Angie sent me .. These were the  Micheals  $1 stamps she sent me  awhile ago ..Thank you again sweet pea . She sent me  these goodies right after my  knee  surgery . Gee  whiz that seems like a life time ago  HUH girls ?   Just love  those  tiny  stamps and   especially the BE Happy  stamp ..  Ya know since  we all have  something to be happy about  right ? Plus  you all know you want to sing that  song now huh? "Dont worry.. Be Happy "  I used  SU! pixie pink and Black CS  with my  trusty  white gel pen again .. Just love black  with  everything  Ya know Hee! Hee! Thanks for peeking in today . Just counting the days down to the single digits now ..OH my  gosh I am sooo  overly excited .

I love boxes & The blog Candy announcement ! ..

I just love making all kinds of boxes ( Almost as much as  any type of moving card )  Anywho Jenn  did this fabulous tutorial on  the 2,5,7,10 box over  at SCS and  I  just knew I had to make one  for myself ..  I used the petals & paisley  designer paper  and I  finally got to use  some of my  flirty  ribbon ( long  gone.. no longer available  Boo Hoo )I also used my year after year  stamp set. Every time I used the present from this set I  always grab my  aqua painter ..  as soon as I stamp image I  go over  the image with my aqua painter and it   smears  the  color around perfectly blending and shading .. No extra color  needed ..( I especially love this technique  with purely pomegranate cause that color is so vivid  ). Any way  I also used    Friend to friend  ( retired )  for the Happy Birthday tag on the side  .. I also added a  extra  scallop of white under the  flap over  to  bring it all together  KWIM?   and  as if  there needed to be more pink on  my box I added a snip of Lt pink GG ribbon  with a staple in the corner  of  my present . I love how the Flirty ribbon really  completes this box . so Happy I had my flirty ribbon Oh and lets not  forget the  tiny  white gel pen dots on the present ..(betcha didn't see them  HUH?).

OH MY I just love  reading all your comments  about your pets .. I laughed , Cried , and even was in shock with  some pets you all have .. Bowzer is the HOT topic of the day with BLOG CANDY!

Ok  Its all about  My  Boy Bowzer today ..  I have had  a few requests  to show him off  alittle more ..   So here he is posing for the camera again ..  The  1st one is of him wearing Jessie's  Hoodie jacket .. I swear  he looks like a gangster Dog . Way to funny HUH ..  When I sent this photo to Rich  he  laughed  probably  for a  good  solid minute  straight.. What's even  funnier is that he wore that jacket all day .. I think he must be part human or my house feels like the artic blast Hee! Hee!

Happy Sunday!

I Had to make another one of my  favorite  layouts ( Thanks  again Mrs Suida  you can view  this post to refresh your memory  again if you like  Hee! Hee! )  I used  The  "All About  U "  set once again  ..  I just love black  with every single  color on the spectrum  don't you ?  So happy I didn't get rid of my  retired  Star  punch from SU! too :-)  I  used tempting turquoise   with the black  for this card along with  sliver brads  I of course had to add  tiny  dots to the  stars.. Other than that  Its  very similar to the   previous post back on  June 28th.

Hey did you all  Notice  I have Our 2007  VBS video  on the left top side of my blog ..  check it out  girls..  You will see me in the music  section ( alittle bit ) .. Its about 5 mins long. My other 50th anniversary card ..

Today is the day for  (2) 50th anniversary parties  and  so I thought I  would share the other  card I made for the other special couple .( This one is for Mrs Jenny and her hubby Willie .. Ms Jenny is our VBS director at church also )  I just love the way this card turned out .. I used  the  brushed gold  card  stock for the base card  and I  also used river rock and groovy guava  cardstock for the center layering .. I used the Baroque Motifs  again   with gold embossing  with a  touch of vellum  cardstock  for the center  piece . I also added gold cording ( retired )  to  draw the  eye to the  center  flower .. and lets not forget the  gold brads  all along the  bottom  scallop (I used  the   slit punch for those again .) I think that was really the most time  consuming part of this card was adding all those Brads .. But so  worth it,  right girls ?  I am soo excited to give this to  them today.. I also made another exactly like this one for  SU!  contest ..Maybe it will be a winner to them.. We will have to wait and see ...

On another good note .. I was scooping all the photos  from convention and spotted  another  project I sent in  up on  the display board .. this ends up being at  least 3  things of mine  that were on display  there at convention this year YIPPEE!!   so can you  spot my project I sent in on this display  board ?  a BIG hint its a photo of me and my darling Jessie Which OH my she looks so young in that photo. Well Look at her now ..   The 1st one is her natural hair (  curly  got it from  Rich NOT me )  and the other is of her with her  hair  when she straightens it

My Brand New Stamp Set ...

I have been having fun with my new " Garden Whimsy"  set I just got .. YIPPEE! This was actually the  very 1st set I knew I  wanted  cause  Of course it  just screams  for  glitter ..  Wouldn't  you know  one of the 1st cards I make with it  doesn't have a  spec of glitter ( OH NO!)  .. I used  Always Artichoke  and  River Rock Card stock   along with my new scallop  punch from SU! too ( Love this punch ) .For my snails I  did the rock and roll technique. I 1st stamped with River Rock  and then  rolled the edges  with  Always Artichoke  .. I also  used  some retired ribbon  from last years catalog  called "Seaside " ( I really love how this ribbon ties  so cute ) and used my  retired scallop  SU! scissors for the  edge around the  saying ..( I just love that saying from this set) .. I took  2 photo of this card  cause  I wanted to show you  that  the  snail's are actually   adhered to the inside of the card  which you  can  see  in the  2nd photo I just used my  1  1/4  circle punch for those and the  centers of the scallop punch out . and then added  the white gel pen   Dots  along with my  black SU!  marker  for the tiny  dots. Thank you All so Much !!

Yesterday I received  Sharon Burkert's Beautiful RAK along withALL her  cards for the troops ( Thank you so Much Sharon and all your  friends at the Letter Carriers Aux. ) .. OH my  look at that  total girls .. You all are ROCKIN !!  My Hubby  has already said he will be taking back at least 2  boxes  full of cards when he goes back , so  It will save on shipping  costs . Every little bit helps KWIM?) Thank you  all  who donated  your beautiful cards  and  Thank you   for all the  envelopes you have sent in along with money to help send the  boxes/ buy more envelopes for  our troops .. You all  are sooo awesome ..!  I am still in shock  that  You all sent in  over  5,700  cards for the troops .. WOWZIE who would have thought ?  I know Angie and I still talk about all  the LOVE  you all have shared for our troops  and  How  we Never  Ever  dreamed to get this amount ..  Thank you  from the bottom of my heart ..

Also I BIG huge  HUG  going out to Jen ..OH my goodness  I won another Blog candy  1st it was  Melissa's ( which I got  her goodies yesterday  thank you  so Much Melissa )  and Then I  won   Corinne's blog candy ..OH my   what is all this ? You  all  are making the month of August  even better  than it   already was (  Cause  did you all forget? My Hubby's coming  home for 2 weeks this month I knew  you  didn't  forget I was just checking Hee! Hee! )  Then yesterday I found out  I won Jen's Blog candy for  her 15K hits . WOWZIE just Look at everything .  OH my  I really am the   most  blessed Gal in the  whole wide world ..  Jen's is the sweetest Gal around and  I  am sooo  happy to call her my  Friend and   what a  Fabulous Stamper she is  too  Thank you Jen  so Much ...

50th Anniversary card ..

We have (2 ) 50th anniversaries to attend  this Saturday and  this is one of  the cards I made .( I still need to make 1 more.. I  Better get busy  huh?)  anyway I seen Bdrew's Card over on  SCS and  it is sooo cute so I used her  card layout and  just changed a  few things   I knew I had to add  some Gold  things  to highlight  the  50th anniversary   so I embossed  the  Baroque  Motifs  swirls on the main card   and used   Brushed  gold Cardstock . I  also used  cameo coral  along with chocolate chip  Card stock  and Ink  & and   slit punch for the scallops  I used  the  chocolate chip marker to   color the dots around my   flowers  and Gold Brads were used for the centers  Thanks  for   the Great card layout / design  Bethany  . Now I must get to making the other  anniversary card  and   a Super   sparkly  Birthday card  for my  Favoritest Cousin  This Friday.
