Valentine Suspension card Video tutorial ..

YAHOO I so love the suspension cards, They are sooo cute and  super easy  and this one is  perfect for  your Valentine  ... This Valentine surprise was one of the  club projects we made this month.. Its even better to make it  with friends :-) . I used  Regal rose for my sample photo and  along with rose red  and whisper white . with Celery GG ribbon . In the Video I used Rose red  for the base card  with certainly  celery .. and of course  HAPPY HEART DAY  stamp set ..( Today Last day to get in on the  special  Valentine day bundle ) Here is  what the  card looks like opened  up ..

Jessie's Homecoming Book of memories ..

Once again  This year  I made Jessie her own mini scrapbook of  the photos she took from her Homecoming this year .. Her dress  was Black with pink and white polka dots so this is what she wanted the  cover  to be in the theme of also .. I used  the Pink polka dots  Ds paper from BERRY BLISS collection  and Lots of   Black rub ons  from the SAB  LOVE & HAPPINESS and I used  the Hostess set TIME WELL SPENT . I just love that way it looks  so much like Jessie's Personality.. and the best part she loves it too  YAHOO!  Here is a  photo of the side view  and  also  some photos of her and her friends  on the inside of this  super cute ON BOARD BITTY BOOK

DID you all notice  the One small touch I  added to her  little book ?   Take a look at the Pink Taffeta  Ribbon  DO you see it ?? I added  a Rub on  there also .. How stinkin AWESOME  is that .  Just love  these Rub ons girls .. Just think you're  gonna   get them for FREE in only  2 DAYS  YAHOO!!!

OH yea ..I also used a pencil eraser  for adding pretty in pink  dots to the  saying on the  front  cover..

Simple & Sweet Birthday card

LOVE that .. But  once I actually got this set in my  hot little hands ,I  love it even more .. Love the font of the Happy  Birthday and  love that this sets looks sooo fabulous  with Glitter  :-)  I made this card for my daughters  Friend SAM  which  you can view  a pic of her HERE on my other Blog.  Sam is the gal with  the coral sweatshirt on  in that photo .. anyway  I know she loves  Pink Like Jessie so I used Pixie pink and Pink passion  with Black accents  to  make it pop ... I did the rock N roll  technique  on the B-Day cake  and  added   some of my Fabulous  retired  SU! yellow  glitter  on the  candle  flames ..  I  also stamped off  for the  background  with presents .. and of course added the And many more ... Candy jar ...

OH my goodness the Rub ons from SU!  totally Rock !! and I  used the SAB set of rub ons   for my candy jar.. Just love the way it turned out .. I took  a few  extra photos  so you can see all sides of it .. I had to  wrap the 5/8 GG ribbon in Real  Red .. One thing I can  change the ribbon out  to whatever color  if I like .. How cute huh? For some extra  bling  on the  BIG  flower  I added  some  netural  beads with crystal effects  .. 

Sorry you  can't see  that as well  in this photo  But  It is sooo cute IRL ..   I put lolli pops in my jar  for my  EastSide  stampers club this past Saturday night   and those little  suckers are sooo yummy .. Cards for the Troops Sunday showcase 1-27-08

Howdy girls .. More beauties to show off  today ..  Just wanted you all to know these photos are  from  the thousands of  beautiful cards I have received over the last  7 months or so .. Once I get  your cards I take  some photos of  them before I ship them to my hubby  in Iraq and then I save the photos in my  CFTT ( cards for the Troops ) files  for future  showcases  on my  blog  every Sunday  .. Happy Saturday girls ...

Oh my  goodness~ where -oh -where did January go ..  Seems time is flying by so quickly, which is a really good thing  in  my book , Since its  closer to when hubby will be coming home again :-)  Just  wish the snow  would go away .. far far away .. I  am so tired of shoveling  and  these  cold  temps ..  I thought I would let you  all know I have  so many  videos planned  for the upcoming weeks  and I  have been  having  so Much fun making them .. Hard to believe  that a camera would bring  such pleassure :-)  I must start  sharing the  videos  I  already have on file  with all of you  since most of them are such CUTE ideas for your Valentine gift giving this year and YIKES V-Day is only 19 days away .. So today I thought I would share  another V-day video  tutorial with you all  on these adorable  lolli  pop holders .. I must tell you  though  when I made this  video I  had BIG plans to make them for  Jessie Class mates this year BUT... THESE took  their place instead  But  I still have  ALOT of them to make  for  church friends, Sunday school kiddies  and  my   Stampin Queens (Club girls).. Good thing they are sooo easy  and fun to make  cause I am not  to Crazy on  "production line "  type  of stamping ..  Hope you all have been enjoying my  videos .. I can't make any promises BUT  I will try and not  forget things  when I prepare  the  supplies  for  video taping  (Notice  the word "TRY" )..  It really makes me laugh  when this happens and YES  this really happens  all the time to me  Just ask my  stampin Queens :-). I   also  think  It may help those of you  to see that NOT everyone is perfect :-)

My Hot cocoa slider

Oh my goodness.. I was going through my  photo files I noticed I didn't  show you  girls  the  Hot cocoa sliders I made for our Sunday school  directors  at my  church  I also gave them  THESE GOODIES  Plus one of THESE also for Christmas last month . I  embossed the snowflakes with WHITE DETAIL EMBOSSING POWDER and I used  Buckaroo Blue  Cardstock and ink ( retired last year ) with Bluebird GG ribbon (retired )  The stamp sets  are SNOWFLAKE SPOT and FESTIVE FAVORITES  I  really love how they turned out . This time  Mr Crabby pants  is all about  LOVE .. You all know I love Mr crabs   But appartently you all Love him too ..  and this makes  Mr Crabby pants one  happy Crab  Just look  at  his face  :-) I was  told  from a  blogger friend  that  we needed  to see  alitle more of Mr Crabby pants,  So he is back by popular  demand  Hee! Hee!  Oh my  goodness I just love this card .. even though it is alittle busy  to look at,  I  love having  so many of him on one  card . I used my Karen Foster  Snap stamps  to  make the  sign  greeting  Mr crabs is holding .. Doesn't it look like he  could  really  say that .. Love you THIS Much  with his out reached claws .. What a HOOT!!  and not only that But  who wouldn't want  to get a  pinch in the butt  from one of his claws anyway :-) After I stamped this card  It  didn't  DAWN ( no pun intended ) on me that it looks like Mr Crabs has alittle more  to smile about  Hee! Sweet of you ...

I was playing  with one of my new SAB sets  "So many scallops "  I thought it would look cute paired up  with the  cute elephant from Happy Heart  Day ( I think what I  love most about this set Is that you  can use it  even after  Valentines day is over ) ..  Any who back to the SAB  goodies .. I used the  SWEET OF YOU  flower along with  the scallop punch  and  added it to the bottom of  my  card with white taffeta ribbon  Tied the knot in the  center   to hold in place ..OH yes I added a few sliver brads  also  I used Rose red , river rock   and regal Rose cardstock  with a strip of  Rose red  designer  paper Thanks for stopping by today and sharing  a part of your day with me ..

Jessie's V-Day goodies ...

Here are  some of  the Valentines day goodies I made this past Saturday  for Jessie's Classmates / Teachers ..  Want to hear something  cute ..  This  school  year Jessie had 2 new girls  join her  10th grade class and when Jessie Brought in  the HALLOWEEN TREATS   for her classmates .. Sarah ( one of the new girls )  was soo  excited  and  One of Jessie's  other classmates (Chelsea ) who has been there as long as Jess  said to Sarah  "You aint seen nothing yet, Jessie's mom always makes  goodies for us every  Seasonal  Holiday".. So I guess the pressure is on now  to keep the goodies  coming .. To be hontest  I would anyway :-) Just wish I could be a fly on the wall when they get these  cute  sweet tart holders  Jessie wanted  me to make the base  Green galore  ( She  thought  the boys wouldn't  think much of  getting a Pixie pink Holder .. ) BUT I still had to add a  small  Pixie  pink to the  layer of my  centered image Hee! Hee!  and Jess was cool with that .." Thank goodness "

Mail Call ...

Double post today  Cause I have goodies  that showed  up in my  mailbox ..  The  2 photo of beautiful cards came from my  Friend Lilly in NY.. WOWZIE what a  Awesome surprise  getting her Beautiful  cards in my  mailbox ..  Just love all the  Sky  blue  cardstock she used .. The Butterfly  cards  really looks like  its  flying.Love all the  extra elements  she added to each of her 4 cards .. Just beautiful  girlie Thank you  so much Lilly.

Next on the happy mail day  this  Beauty came  from a fellow blogger JOANNE B OH my  goodness...  I just love  this little girl  holding her teddy Bear .Such a sweet sweet  card  and Look  she  added scallops  to her card too  Love the  punch outs on each of the  scallops also .. I also love the looks of her 2 corners  that are rounded .. Fabulous card girlie .. Thank you  Joanne So much ..

Guess what else happened ?  Today I have  finally  got to meet IRL  Sandra... Here we are ~ We laughed  cause  Jessie wasnt  here to snap the photo so this is the best we could do  :-) How exciting  to be able to met  a blogger  friend  IRL.. She came over this afternoon  and  picked up  a few of her  sets  she wanted to  buy  from my  retired list of goodies.   She brought me these wonderful treats ..  OH my look at all the yummy  Purple  goodies  .. the  soap and  stamp  cleaner she wrapped  in DS paper  and  also the  bling , ribbon, buttons  and  she even brought  by  some cards for the troops  which are also Fabulous!! Thank you  so much Sandra   for  such a  Awesome time we stamped , we laughed and the  time together  wasn't long enough since I had  to leave to go pick up daughter  from Church camp ... next time  will hopefully be  a longer  visit ...  Thanks  so much for stopping by again today .. Happy Mail day ...

Oh my goodness  I  got  such a happy  mail day 2 days in a row ..  on  Monday I got  Pams  adorable card .. she had ordered a retired stamp set from  me and  she sent me this  card too .. OH my  goodness I am sooo happy I still have this stamp set ... Just love your  card Pam Thank you  so very much ...

Next I got these goodies  from my  Dear friend DAWN Look at all the  fabulous  goodies she sent me  all in PURPLE .. Oh my goodness  and look at the sparkle on her card  just  beautiful .. The address book is  sooo awesome ..  I just  fell in love with  it   when she  showed it on her blog WHO  would have ever thought  she would send it to me ...   and look I got  some prima  flowers .. My very 1st  little primas and look they are purple too ... and then the ribbon  Guess what? thats  purple too :-)  she also remember  me saying how much  the  stamped images  she sent  me reminded me of my Bowzer ..  That doggie is sooo cute .. Thank you  so Much for  my Birthday present  girlie ..  You are the Sweetest .. and I really hope you feel better  soon ..

Candy Holder

I am just having  so much fun with  this  HAPPY HEART DAY  stamp set .. You really must get it before   Love  day is  over with  and this  Month there is a AWESOME SPECIAL  going on  so  there is no time  like today to make this set  yours ... For my  Sweet Tart  candy holder I used  Pixie pink  and Green Galore  card stock and  SU! markers  also  with WHITE TAFFETA RIBBON  Oh my  when I was making this I had a Light bulb moment   it may be old news to you  BUT I  never  tried it SOOO when I made this I  was going to use  Velcro  to seal  it shut  this little  goodie  BUT here  comes the light bulb moment .. I used the Taffeta Ribbon  to  secure the flap  shut .. How stinkin  cute is that ?  Brillant I say  I just tucked the  bottom  flap  under the  ribbon from the inside of the top flap .. I am sooo excited  I  can share this  with you  all since I know you  would  truely   appreciate  my light bulb moment  Hee! Hee! I also used the  SLIT punch  for the  center  section to hold the little bag of valentines  day sweet tarts .. I have  so many  cute  things to share  with you  using  this  Super cute  set ..  OK Onto the  measurements  Cause I know  your  wondering  right ?  I would have done a video Tutorial But it  really  is  so Cute I  couldn't  wait to  do  the video  so here  are  the measurement  in  written form ..

Score at 3" and  at 6 1/4 

thats  it .. Pretty simple  HUH?  Such a sweet little gift .. I  am  going to making these  for all the  people  I visit  between Now and V-Day ( bank , Post office , Store ,Gas station ) Of  course with my  business card inside ..  How  cute HUH? My daughter  wants these also for her  Class   for Valentines day .. OH man I better get busy cause  It looks like  I have 2 goodies  now for her  class  ( the other one  will be shared  very soon ) I guess this is  what happens  when I 'm having to much FUN stampin  for Valentines day.

Are  they  awesome or what .. and guess what? I figured something out ...

I figured   out  that I  am a  fun stamper  whats that you  say ?  ( I am so glad you asked Hee! Hee! ) well I find that I just love making goodies for  holidays  that  are  centered around FUN!! Like   Valentines day ..  Who doesn't  " Love "   Valentines day ? ( No pun intened )  It does  make it  alot more fun when you have someone to LOVE  huh?  I find Christmas & Valentines day  The most fun  for me  personally ..  I really  dont know why It took me   almost  5 years to find this out  about myself .. But I actually think its pretty funny ..  anyway I  was  in  the mood to  make another one of those fabulous shadow box  cards  which you  can find that tutorial HERE   this time I used the heart  from the  TIME  WELL SPENT stamp set and the  Happy Valentines day greeting is  from HOLIDAYS & WISHES . I  did alittle  masking with the Heart  stamp   and  TA DA  here is  my  finished  card .. I also added a little  bling with my  dazzling  diamonds  around my hearts  which I think  Just barely  shows  up in the photo .. anyway  at least I mentioned it  for you  to be looking  for it  :-) I also used my marker in Regal rose ( same as card stock )  and added tiny  doodle  dots   for the  front of my shadow box card which may not  be seen very  good without clicking on the photo to make larger , anyway I also added a bunch of brads  to the center of my  flowers  then  carried them out to the edge  of the  shadow box .. Cards for the troops Sunday showcase 1-13-08

A few of you  have asked  what have I been making lately  with my new Cricut ..  Well Jessie sure has put my  Cricut to work .. Jessie had Spirit  week at school this past week and  for her  class poster  they  used the   scripture  Galations 5: 22-23  and Look at all the  words she  cut out using  my new Cricut ... Their poster   has a tree   with  Oranges ( basketballs ) all over it  with the faces of  the Basketball team on the  oranges   then on  the side of the   trunk they will add the  Fruit of the spirit words she cut out  with my cricut  ( see photo below ) ... the  words  are

Jessie is sure glad  she didnt have to hand cut  each of the letters out ..  One of the spirit days  for dressing up was ERA day  Jessie picked the 50's  and here she is dressed  like the 50's   Hey SU! demos notice the glasses I recieved these a couple years ago  at SU! leadership Seminar  .. Here is a photo of a few of her classmates  with their  finished  poster ..  pretty AWESOME huh?  I didnt realize  how big the poster  was  Its HUGE !! Valentines day goodie ..

I made this  Valentine  gift holder  which  could hold  money , a gift card , gum or  anything  flat and small . I used  SU! reg  size  Whisper  white envelope and folded it in half  cut the flap  in  half  and sealed one  side of the flap  shut and I then decorated  it with the HAPPY HEART DAY stamp set .. Did  you know  there is a special  going on right now with this  super cute stamp set  click HERE to view flyer .  This special  ends  at the end of this month ..  OH boy  I have been busy  making  so many cute goodies  with this set .. some of  which  will be  showcased a little  later on .  We will  also be using  this set  for my  clubs this month, But making  something totally  different  and  sooo stinkin cute  I can't wait ..Want to attend a club night with me and my Stampin Queens Click HERE for  those dates .Please let me know  if you  want to   join in on the fun on either night  ...

Tutorial Thursday ...

Hi girls ...Here is the card I will be making in my  video tutorial  today  I guess  we can call it faux  ripped paper .. I really  am not sure what to call it  But it looks like ripped paper to me  what do you think ?

Here is what you will need: 

4 1/4" X 5 1/2" piece of  scrap  cardstock ( I am using whisper white in the video) you  will tear this piece   in half  from  corner to corner making  sure your  rips  are not even . ( Note the more uneven the better.. Thats nice to hear huh? )

Cardstock for  finished  card  measurements

Whisper white 3 3/4" X 5" matted on  Groovy Guava  at 4" X 5 1/2" base card ( River Rock )  4 1/4 " X 11"

2 coordinating  ink  colors ( I always like  working with lightest color 1st then adding  darker colored  last )

Dauber or sponges

Black ink pad

Then any other accessory you  may want to add to your  finished card ( I used   Black Stampin  write  marker  and Groovy  guava  Stitched  ribbon

I will Cherish The Past 2 weeks .

Hi Girls :  I  want to Thank you  all for your prayers. Yesterday was really tough  and today doesn't seem any better  except that it is one day closer to when he will  come home again Praise  God for  that ! Then to make a sad day even  more of a boo hoo  day yesterday was the 5th anniversary of my  Dad passing .. so needless to say  It was   a very very tough  day  yesterday ..  I really need  to get back  in my stampin groove  so what better way than to make a sweet simple  card  right ?  I used elegant  eggplant with creamy  caramel and vanilla  Cardstock  also with  Elegant eggplant GG ribbon  I used  a retired set  from the last mini called Stem Silhouettes  ( remember that one ?)  I  colored  the stamp image  with  elegant eggplant and creamy  caramel marker  and stamped  image  twice Once   in full color  and then  again  right after  the  1st image was stamped . I added a hodge podge buckle  with 2 brads that are holding the GG ribbon in place .  All in all this  was a very easy card to make  and alot of fun . OH yea I also used  the CANVAS background stamp w/ WARM WORDS  stamp set  for the Cherish  stamp on  left side .

I  thought I would  use  my new BALI BREEZE DS paper for this card  along with   the Big butterfly in the GAREN WHIMSY set  I also added GROOVY GUAVA  Double  stitched ribbon  I guess this  saying on this card today  kinda covers  it  since I am  sad today  But I know you  all  will understand

New goodies

Hi girls .. I got  a few new goodies  last week and  I made this  card with ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING I  thought it would be cute to have  this card  open alittle different than usual  so as you can see  by the next photo  this card  opens  from the bottom   BUT the  front  tucks  in behind the saying at the bottom .  I just added a little  Black card stock  and  ripped the  edges  and  added  to  Regal rose card stock . I also added tiny  doodle  dots all over the background  front .   A very simple card .. Today is Jessies  1st day back to school  and  Tomorrow  afternoon Rich is leaving to go back and also  tomorrow early  evening is Jessie's Homecoming  at school .Yes this is the pits .. I may not be around much  tomorrow  if you think of us Please say a little prayer ...

Then look at this next photo closely  and  do you see  something else I am excited about ?  See the coasters ?  Our waitress  brought me a  whole bunch over  and she let me  take them home .. Can you say  coasters  for stamping  projects YAHOO!!!  and look even hubby is excited too Hee! Hee!

Birthday Surprise ...

Here is one of the cards I made with my  Birthday surprise  from my  wonderful hubby   I cut out the 4 hearts  along the top of my card with my new CRICUT can you  believe it ?  What a shock .. I never in my  whole time stamping  ever  gave it a thought  I would ever be  so blessed to own one  and  how  did he know  anyway ? I will never know  cause  I have never  ever mentioned that I  dreamed of  having one ..  He is such a sweetie .. The  scrapbook store  he  surprised me in I  don't think the ladies there will ever forget my  wonderful Husband  or I .. since I  cried  like a Big baby Here is  the one I got .. and since Lori  guessed  the  Birthday gift Hubby got me she will be getting the card posted  today YAHOO!!!

Speaking  of my Wonderful  Hubby  look what he was  awarded  with  for his  work over in Iraq.. Pretty awesome HUH?  he is  the only one in his group  that ever  got one let alone 2  metals.  A Full bird  Colonel tracked him down right before he came  home  for Christmas  to give him  this  certificate  and another metal coin( Blue one )  click on photos  to make larger ..I am sooo very very proud of him . I am truely  Blessed to be married to the  most amazing man in the  world ...

Oh my  goodness  I got these awesome goodies in my mailbox this week ..  Thank you  girls so much .. OH boy I feel like  such a losy  blogger friend  not sending  Christmas  cards  out this year .. Next on the list of  beautiful goodies  is  from my   dearest friend  CORINNE ( aka Roxy) She had ordered  a few scissor charms and she sent me  this   wonderful  Christmas card .. I just love  Chocolate  and  blue together and  she even used our  Blizzard wrapping paper  from the last mini  Such a  fabulous card .. Thank you  so much baby  cakes ..

Next  super cute card came  from my  friend Gina   How   stinkin cute is her card .. You must know  we both  think Elvis  is  sooo awesome  and  I was wondering  by her  comment  HERE on this post  what she  was  meaning  about  Elvis.. NOW it all is  coming through loud and clear .. DUH Hee! Hee!  and Look she even used my   favorite color too  , Purple ..  YAHOO!! Thank you Gina  Baby ...

Then I got this  adorable  Thank you  card from Jenna  Coleman  Is this cute or what ? and Look she  used Purple too ..   I love how she made  her flower  from squares  How clever is that ..   Thank you  so Much for such a  adorable   card  & for  your sweet note inside Jenna

You all made  me and my mail box very happy  this week .. Thank you  from the bottom of my heart !

He's BAAACKKK

Just when you thought it was safe to put  him away  BUT  SURPRISE he  reappears  out of no where  YAHOO!! Welcome back Mr Crabby pants ( aka~ CRAB & COMPANY .. OH boy  did I miss him  and Soooo Very happy  he is  showing  his stuff in the new catalog  YIPPEE!!  You all know I just love my Mr crabby pants , I love him so Much I have a Gallery  all about Mr Crabs  which you can  view  HERE or  scroll  down on the left hand side of my  blog  until  you see his gallery  .. I  knew I wanted to make one of these fabulous gift card  holders and  what a better  way to  show off Mr Crabby pants again ... I used Purely pomegranate  cardstock   and  classic ink also  for the  tone on tone  birthday  hats and presents  in the background .. I then used my  trusty  white gel pen  to  color in all the dots on these  party goodies .. Mr Crabs is stamped with black STAZON on  WATERCOLORED PAPER   and  I  used my AQUA PAINTER to color him in with  purely pomegranate ink.   Going Gray was used for  shadowing the  sand  underneath Mr Crabs , I also added   doodle dots & squiggle lines  with my  black SU! marker  around Mr Crabs and then of course googly eyes were added with Crystal Effects    and red stickles glitter  was also added to have  him  shine like the true star he really is Hee! Hee!... Here is what my  gift card holder looks like opened up . I  Love Love Love my Mr Crabs.. Thanks  so much for stopping in today and sharing a  part of your Friday with me .  Let Mr Crabs  know how much you missed him too ..
