good morning dawn, figured I would stop by here and see what you were up to lol before gettng set up for the kids, I think Celine is great and her voice is so tranquil, I love that song to, but I have to say that Jinggle bells is a fave in my house because the kids sing it every year. My oldest, she is 8, and my son is 5, and last but not least my baby is 4 months old. Before I forget My daughter says Merry Christmas, she watches all your videos with me. I love Christmas music and listen to it year round. I am so many favorites, but I would pick Silent Night, only because it was my Grandmothers favorite. Every Christmas Eve we would sing this in church and she would just cry and cry and cry. I always asked her why she cried, if it was her favorite song. She always said, I cry because He shed his blood for me and I am forever greatful for that.

Every time I hear it, it reminds me of her and I just cry my eyes out, except when I sing it at church and it makes me feel her presence there with me. I love O Holy Night and Mary Did You Know. This year I also taught my granddaughter a song that my mom taught me. I am not sure of the title but it starts out…Baby Jesus went to sleep, on a bed of hay, in a manger soft and deep, baby Jesus lay. She picked up on it right away and I have heard her singing it all on her own several times.

We attend candlelight service every Christmas eve and at the end of the service the candles are lit and the lights turned down and everyone sings Silent Night together without accompanying music or direction… it is just so inspiring and heart felt.
