dawn this card is sooo purty .. thanks for sharing and kind thoughts for you in memory of your dad
Dawn, I love the new card. Are the photo corners put on with pop-its, or is there an actual cut around the “thank you”? Thanks.
Dawn,
You need a ((((HUG)))) today and don’t forget to give you Mom one to!
Your card is beautiful and thanks for sending me to you friends blog for the tutorial.
Blessings
Hi Dawn,
I love this card ….especially the idea of scalloped photo corners. I checked out your friends blog but I had a hard time understanding the technique. Hopefully someday you will do a video about it. I wake up everyday in anticipation for your videos!
Dawn-I hope you and your Mom do something very relaxing today. Hugs to both of you.
I like the scallop corners
Dawn,
I feel your heart ache of missing your Dad! My Dad passed the Summer of 2007. They were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary, but my Mom was home bound so we had just our immediate family together (my brother, my hubby, our daughter & I) celebrating with them. We had a wonderful time together!
We had a small cake that had their wedding colors & an orchid, which was the flower Mom carried. We gifted them with 3 scrapbooks of when they dated up until the 70’s. I even was able to include the newspaper articles about the engagement & wedding. At that time they would give a description of everything! I mean everything which is such a great memory for all of us now. My brother hunted for the photos & slides & printed them, while I did the scrapbooking.
It was a total surprise for our parents & they had so much fun looking through the albums & remembering the years. I have the photos to continue but was unable to complete the albums before Dad’s passing. My heart aches that Dad won’t be able to see the additional albums with us, but I know in my heart he will see them too.
My parents anniversary would have been Jan. 14, being their 53rd. They were supposed to marry in December, but Dad couldn’t get back from being stationed at Fort Bragg, so they had beautiful deep green & red taffeta colors for their wedding in January. My hubby & I honored them when we were married by using the same date, but different month. We were married July 14, 1990.
Think of the wonderful memories of your Dad & Mom & it will help get you through the day!
Much love to you & your Mom today!
Ann 🙂
Dear Dawn,
Be knid to yourself today and walk down memory lane with your sweet mother.
My mother died 15 years ago, 2 days before her 58th birthday. We buried her on her and dad’s 40th anniversary. We had the Anniversary Waltz played at the funeral.
The funeral was 3 days after she died. We picked the date as I told my dad that God gave her to him 40 years before and now he would give her back. He liked my reasoning.
Blessings,
Rhonda
Hey Dawn I love the sparkle and the touch of pink you used on this card. This punch is on my wish list. I think it may be the next thing I need to order. Of course I am waiting for the new catty to be release as well. Have a great day and take care.

Dawn, the card is beautiful. I lost my Mom 2 days before you lost your dad. I can’t believe it’s been 6 years.
OMG, I didn’t realize he died on Elvis’ birthday. Well you know my thoughts are always with you losing him so close to your bday the same way I lost my dad 5 days after my bday 21 years ago. Never an easy thing, but we know they both are back home with our Heavenly Father as their rewards for completing their journey here on earth, however short it may have been.
I’m so blessed to have both my parents and scared to loose either of them. I know it’s in God’s hands; I just can’t imagine them not there. I love the dazzling corners! Thanks for sharing and being there. Mary Jo
What a gorgeous card — LOVE those scalloped corners you made!!!
