Here is a super cute card I used the Bigz Clear die Scallop square # 115950 along with the new Sending Love designer paper#117153.
OH my goodness look at that sparkle right on the designer paper .. LOVE that ( click on photo to view better) and love that Stampin'Up! designed paper like this Just for me ..
OK well maybe they didn't design it with me in mind
BUT still …. I love it !
I also used the New stamp set called With all my heart # 118623 along with the brand new Sweet Pea stitched felt # 117266 from the Occasions mini . For the sides with whisper white I just used the scallop edge punch #112091
The Big news
My Hubby is planning on being home for Good in August 2010 (and maybe even alittle sooner ).
Sunday was a Really tough day for me at church since I know everyone is sooo sweet with their concern and wanting to know how everything is and to be honest It really SUCKS sending Hubby off to Iraq once again.
It never gets easier and this time seemed even worse , Maybe thats because he mentioned he may be staying until 2011 over there and that is just something I could NOT wrap my head around . Another 2 years apart would Kill me, Not to mention this time I seen slight changes with my hubby . Little things like really quite and distant and maybe even alittle depressed . Probably didn't help any with the attempted bombing of his flight home on Christmas day .
Being away for so long ( March will be 3 years ) and feeling out of the loop with friends and family . He is having a hard time getting re adjusted to the way things are at home. Now mind you in Iraq he has a Very small room and no outside activies to do Like go shopping at the mall , taking a long drive etc. Just Very Isolated
Anywho everything Changed Sunday night. He called and said he wants his Life back with his family & friends and will be coming home for good in Aug 2010 YAHOO! well that's the date we are aiming for But it may be alittle sooner than that .I can Not express the happiness I felt on the phone with him Sunday night.
Have a Terrific Tuesday. I will see you all again tomorrow .
Until later.. Happy Stampin!

Dawn, how exciting for your family! I will continue to pray for you all.
Hopefully he gets home soon, it must be hard to be away for so long. God bless you.
That is super news! I hope it all works out for you guys! I will be praying!!
Oh wonderful news!!!!! I’m so happy for your family!!
Oh Dawn, I don’t even know you that well, but that totally warms my heart for you and your family. Congratulations!
You’ll certainly be ready for him to come back for GOOD. Keep him close until then and we’ll pray for his safe return.
So happy to hear your hubby is coming home for good. You are a very strong person, Dawn. Even though I don’t personally know you, I have thought that since I’ve followed your blog on day one. God bless you and your family! Keep your chin up : )
Dawn that is wonderful news!I am so very happy for your family and you!
Praise God! I was hoping that was the news you would share. As a military wife I can relate, and I am so happy for you :0)!!
So happy for all of you Dawn, I’m sure the Christmas plane experience really crystallized how short life really is ……”there, but for the grace of God”
Prayers continued for Rich’s safe return
Judy
Dawn, What awesome news your family received. you’r poor hubby, hang in there girlie and give him hugs galore when he gets home and things will be right as rain in no time.
I can’t imagine how hard it is for all of you. I hope everything works out for the best and that you keep the faith, GOD will guide you.
BTW, I LOVE the card.
that is awesome! 🙂 i really hope he can come home and get back into a normal (love normal, don’t you!) routine with y’all. my brother-n-law is in iraq (again) and i see how much it affects his daughters and wife while he is away. the first time he went to iraq he “met” his baby and headed back. and recently they got him home for his mom’s funeral and had to head back after. so sad and difficult. i really hope the good Lord will bring your hubby home to you to stay! 🙂
Dawn, I am so happy for you!! God is Good, He hears all our prayers!!
congrats, can’t imagine my husband being away for so long. hope all goes well for your family. praying for you.
love your blog too.
I got choked up and misty-eyed reading about your hubby coming home this year. That is such awesome and long-awaited news. And then I cried tears of hysterical laughter watching the goofy girls playing with the camera. Big thank yous to you and the girls for sharing joy today. Good thoughts and prayers with you always.
PS, loved the beautiful card, too!
What great news Dawn. Blessings from heaven!!
Dawn,
As a military wife, I completely understand how hard it is to say all of those goodbyes to your husband. Stay strong and remember how WONDERFUL homecomings of any sort are!
Dawn, That is wonderful news.I pray for his safe return and adjustment to life in general.
Barboo
Dawn-this is wonderful news for your whole family. Praying for you.
I’m very excited for you and your family. That is wonderful news.
Dawn I pray it is sooner rather than latter for your hubby to come back to you. It must be extremely hard for all of you. Love Marls (the goose downunder)
Soooooo happy for you!!!
Marty
My granddaughter served a year in Iraq. I remember how it felt for her to be over there and the total relief it was to have her back home. I will continue to pray for Rich’s safety and for him to return home soon. Will, also, be praying for stength for you and Jessi to get through each day while he is away.
Blessings,
Judy B.
Dawn
I will keep you all in my prayers that the Lord will keep him safe and return him quickly to you!!!
Terry
I am so excited for you Dawn, that is some great news! I am actually in the same situation. My husband is a police officer and doesn’t work in our City. He works in a fly in community which is very isolated and very expensive and only home every 2-3 months for 10 days usually. We will have been doing this for almost 3 years and it takes it’s toll. He leaves tomorrow:(
Dawn, I’m so happy for you!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I can’t imagine being away from my hubby for 3 years… You are a strong lady!!! Nancy P…
I am so happy for you guys! Congratulations! What a way to start off 2010!
I am so glad to hear he will be coming home for good! I know how hard it’s been on you having him away for so long! You have been a real trooper though, keeping yourself busy with stamping up ! Hang in there are little longer so he will be home soon! 🙂
Jenny
Great news, really happy for all of you. You need to be together as a family. We will be counting the days. It will really go by fast.
What wonderful news, Dawn! We all will be praying for his safety until he comes home to you and your family.
Dawn, I am so happy for you that your husband may be home for good soon!
You are all in our prayers.
God bless you,
Pam
Dawn, what exciting news for you and your daughter….i can’t imagine how hard it is to be away from your loved one for soooo long. Hang in there–it won’t be long until he is home for good.
God Bless
I got all teary eyed reading about Rich coming home for good. I come to your blog every day and it breaks my heart every time he has to leave again. I am so happy for all of you. Three years is wayyyyyyyyyyy too long for anyone. I also admire how much you do with your cards and blog and church. You are full of energy. You amaze me. Thanks for all you do and for sharing your wonderful news. God bless.

Oh Dawn….Heck with the card. I am so happy to hear that your hubby will be home from Iraq for good. What wonderful news too bad he couldn’t come home for Jessie’s graduation for good (and not tell her to make it a surprise! KWIM)…anywho whenever he comes home, it will be great. I am so HAPPY FOR YOU AND JESSIE!!!!!
… fantastic news Dawn hope the days go quickly for you until his return… after laughing tears of joy so much at the “goofy” girls, I then cried with Joy for how you must be feeling…
Love Peg x
Super WONDERFUL news about your husband! (cute card idea too.)
How exciting for you and your daughter, as well as hubby. I will continue to pray that he is home for good when he arrives for Jesse’s graduation. :)Then you can use the boat as a family all summer.
YEH!!! I am so happy for the 3 of you!
YAY i am so happy for you and your family. i know what you mean with the changes in your hubby. when my brother came back things changed with him and it has taken him 3 years now to finally come around but he will still not talk about being over there.
AMEN SISTAH!
Hooray Dawn, I am so happy for all of you!! This is the best news ever!!
Dawn, I am so happy to hear your DH is going to be home for good. I’m always talking about your situation and how I don’t know how you do it. Even tho I don’t know you personally I am always thinking of you and worried for you and happy when you are together. I’m sure it will be an adjustment but having him home will be so much better. Getting back to “real life” will have it’s ups and downs but is so much more of a life when you are together day to day – and so nice for your daughter! I’ll be counting down the days with you!!!!!! (Hopefully sooooooner!!!!!)
Wonderful news. Happy that you shared this with us today. I will continue to lift in prayer all of our sons & daughters who serve overseas.
God Bless,
Hi Dawn!
I am sooo happy for you and Jesse! I know from a spouse perspective of what it is like for your husband to get readjusted to real life after being gone so long. My husband served as a Naval officer for 32 years, and it was always hard for him to adjust to the change of “normal” vs. his reality. We appreciate that he puts himself out there. Congrats again!
Love,
Barby
Praise God! I know you are just floating on air right now.
3 years away? Wow! I am so happy for you that he wants to come back to a “regular” life again. I know that you and your daughter will be jumping for joy at that! Bless your heart. What a good woman you are.
Happy New Year Dawn and Jessie!
Jackie
Dawn, I’ve been following your blog every day and I’m so happy for you having this great news!! I was feeling sorry for you that your husband was leaving again!! Good news!
Bye, Anne-Marie, The Netherlands
What great news about your DH, Dawn!! I’m so happy for you!!
Your card is very beautiful too!
Hugs!!
Hi Dawn!
I read your blog EVERY DAY, and just love all that you do – creatively and just sharing yourself, everything is so awesome. I am just so thrilled to hear your good news, and wanted you to know that my heart is filled with joy for you and your hubby.
I am hugging you RIGHT NOW!!
Deenie
GOD IS GOOD!!!!
What grand news!!! I am so happy for you and your whole family. I can’t even imagine what it has been like for you and Jessie and Richard. If God brings you to it He will bring you through it and He has.
I often think it would be wonderful if we knew what our future held for us the same way that God does. But then I realize that we would never grow in faith, and trust, and love for our Father if there were never any challenges in our lives. He knows that too, and thus life unrehearsed.
I have always admired your strength, and love for God and it has been an inspiration to me. You have made me less questioning of events in my life for I know that God is with me all the time, and will show me the way. Not always my way, but always the right way.
It will probably be the longest 6 or 7 months in your life, but now you know what the reward is at the end. You are awesome. God is GREAT. AMEN!!!!!
I am so totally THRILLED for you and your family…what great news. You are a better
wife/woman than I am…I doubt I would have lasted this long waiting to have a husband.
You ROCK girlfriend.
Hi Dawn,
I am so very happy for you. I don’t think I could be as strong- you are so brave! I am so very glad for you and what a true blessing it will be for your family to be all together again.
Dawn, I’m so glad your hubby made the “right” decision to come home to his family. It will all work out just fine, just trust in God, as you always do, and put your faith where it belongs…I’m so happy for you.
Gorgeous card & that DP is stunning!!!
Dawn I am so VERY happy for you & Jess, it will be so wonderfull to have hubby home for good again! I bet theres lots of smiles & dancing going on at your house right now! Big (((Hugs))) for you girl!
I know you have a ton of comments, but I just wanted to share how happy I am for you and your family. I’m doing the happy dance for you (it ain’t pretty, but I’m dancing!!) Woo hooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful news!! So happy there is an end in sight!! I was apart from my hubby for a year and that was tough. I can’t image doing it for as long as you have.
So happy for you Dawn. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to be separated from your hubby for so long!
That is wonderful news I am very happy for you and your family.
Evelyn
Oh, Dawn, what GREAT news! It sure isn’t easy being apart and I was so happy to read he will be home for good very soon!
Wonderful news about your husband coming home…see it’s already 2010! Only a few more months; I’m adding him to my list of military personnel I pray for every day. Also praying for you as I sort of know what you are going through. My husband was in the Air Force during the Vietnam era but was sent to Korea instead. It’s not fun living apart for so long…may God keep you all safe and strong of heart.
that is suepr great news! so happy for your family!
Just a quick note to say how happy I am for your entire family. I pray for his continued safety. Thanks for sharing your wonderful news–it just made my day!
that’s GREAT news – will pray for all of you as I think about you….and pray that God would give your hubby real joy as he anticipates his return HOME!!!! Yeah!!!
What awesome news!!! I will continue to pray for all the troops, until everyone comes HOME.
Happy for you and your family. Continue doing what you are doing and God will see you through.
God bless.
Sheila
God bless your husband and your sweet family. What a sacrifice you have all made. I hope the time until his return goes quickly for you and that he regains peace in spirit and mind upon his return. Best to all of you!
Dawn, I can’t imagine how hard it would be to have your husband away. This will be a year of ups and downs for you, including adjusting to him being home. Sending wonderful thoughts your way,
Catherine
Yippee Skippy! I know your heart must have skipped a beat! Thanks for sharing your good news!
Dawn, you are such an inspiration to me! I want you to remember that God does not give us more than we can handle! With his help, anything is possible.
Jonee
the hardest part about when he comes home is learning to share the bed and the responsibilities. you both are used to being in charge. just give it time. my husband and i have done 2 tours apart.
I’m so happy for your news!! I really enjoy your blog every day…. I wish your family all the happiness you deserve.
Carol
That’s great news Dawn.. Being separated for long periods of time is never good on a relationship.. I’m a military spouse and I’ve been doing it for 15 years now… I really hope he gets out of there early and cane be home with his family before August.
Great news. My hubby is away a lot, but just for 3-7 days at a time, I can’t imagine him being away that long. I hope it passes fast for you all.
This is great news, Dawn. The last visit, well, the last batch of photos, he looked even more withdrawn and shockey than usual. I’m glad he is coming home. He needs a constant injection of Dawn juice! :))))
Hi Dawn!
I got all choked up when reading that Rich said he wants his life back. I’m glad that he wants to come home for good. I’m so happy for all of you. You are a neat lady and so full of life. I hope he comes home much sooner than later.
Also, as usual, you make such beautiful cards.
Forever you fan! 🙂

dear dawn –
dont know you at all except for your blog, but i have loved the way you are so open in sharing your life with your blogger friends. AND your faith…which i know has upheld you through all of your loneliness. i am not connected with the military in any way BUT i totally love and admire anyone who serves our country in that way and protects us and allows us to live lives of freedom. positively joyful for you and your husband that he will soon be home for good.
