Happy Friday friends!

Todays color combo on my card was inspired from  the invitation card I got from SU! which was posted yesterday .

I love these 2 colors together Old Olive and Pacific Point .

I used the new stamp set called Fabulous Florets  which will be in the new Summer mini  starting  Sunday  May 1st .

The  layers  to my card are as follows :

Pacific Point card stock#120968

cut at 4 1/4" x 11"

scored at 5 1/2"

Old Olive card stock#100079

Cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Card stock # 100730

cut at  3 3/4" x 5"

Center  strip

Old Olive   cut at  1"" x 5"

Pacific Point   cut at  3/4" x 5"

I also added  some Basic Pearls #119247 to a few of the flowers

Here is another Mothers Day card  for you .

I used my favorite  embosslit  called  the Wondeful Wings 118138 with Vellum card stock #101856.

 I used the Springtime Vintage designer paper # 121782 along with the Crumb cake  1/2" Seam Binding  ribbon # 122332.Then added some Basic Pearls#119247.

 The center frame is from the Baby Blossoms stamp set

  in Occasions mini .

The greeting  that is layered over that with the Scallop oval punch #119856 the greeting  is from the  Butterfly Prints  stamp set

Hello card ...Sneak Peek Summer mini 2011

Hi Stampers :

 Happy Tuesday friends!

Todays card I used a couple  brand new items from the Summer mini catalog which starts on May 1, 2011

I used the  stamp set called Hello Blossoms along with the Brand new embossing  powder in  Fabulous colors

• Melon Mambo
• Tangerine Tango
• Wild Wasabi

Yes !! Embossing powder in color ..LOVE IT!!

I used all 3 clors in my card today with the main image.

I lightly sprinkled each color on one at a time  over the Versa Mark image making sure to tap off  remaining embossing powder before   you  continue  to the next color to avoid mixing them together.

I also added  some Pompom Trim in Melon Mambo # 123322

The base card  is Wild Wasabi card stock # 108641 which I stamped the same  image  on the back gound with Versa Mark  ink pad #102283 and then used the Wild Wasabi  embossing powder  again,  

  You can see the shine  from the embossing powder alittle better in the 2nd photo.

I used the 1/2" Circle punch #119869  to punch out the Hello Letters  and popped them up on Dimensionals # 104430.

Used the Photo Corners punch # 119878  with Melon Mambo card stock .Then added  a  Basic Rhinestone#119246 in each of the  photo  corners  for sparkle

Measurements  for the center layer :

• Whisper  White  3 1/8" x  2 1/4"
• Tangerine Tango  3 3/8" x  2 1/2"
• Wild Wasabi  3 5/8" x  2 3/4"
• Melon Mambo  3 7/8"x 3"

Todays card I used the Paisley Petals Designer paper #122367  along with the Four Frames stamp set

I also used the Itty Bitty shapes punch pack #118309  for the tiny  flowers .

The  word "Mother" is from the stamp set called

Wonderful Favorites #115114

I also added  some Early Espresso Taffeta ribbon # 119964 with a few Basic Pearls #119247

Here are the measurements for the card are as follows  :

Base :

Early Espresso card stock

• cut at 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
•  scored at 4 1/4"

Paisley Petals DSP

• cut at 4" X 5 1/4"

Large Layer :

Early Espresso

• cut at 3 1/4" X 4 3/8"

Paisley Petals DSP

• cut at 3" X 4 1/4"

Small layer :

Early Espresso

• cut at 2" X 2 3/4"

 Paisley Petals DSP

• cut at 1 3/4" X 2 7/8"

I finished  my card  by spraying  Shimmer paint  Champagne Mist #116806 mixed with rubbing alcohol.

Strength & Hope Butterfly card ...

Here is another card I made using the  Strength & Hope stamp set  available May 1, 2011.

I  used the beautiful butterfly from this set on todays card .

I used Crumb Cake#120953  for the base card  a strip of Baja Breeze card stock #111352

I also added 1/2" Seam Binding  ribbon

• Crumb Cake#122331

I also added  some Basic Pearls #119247 

Sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink #119670

Here is a Sneak peek of a new stamp set in the Summer mini 2011 called Strength & Hope.

You can purhase this stamp set starting May 1st  and  for every stamp set sold SU!  will donate $2 to  the Breast Cancer Research Foundation .. so Awesome !

There is a really pretty butterfly in this set  too But I thought I would use that on another card .

I used Crumb Cake#120953  for the base and Very Vanilla#101650  for the layer with the Framed Tulip embossing folder #121809

I stamped on Vellum card stock #101856

I also added the vellum to the card stock with Mini glue dots # 103683  

The tiny pink heart I punched out wth the 2-step Owl punch #118074

Springtime Smiles case

I have  to use Picnik  for uploading  my photos since my laptop doesn't have Photoshop :(

Boy things are going to be really  fun until I get my computer back... just sayin !

Todays card is one I kinda cased  from the Stampin Success Magazine Demonstrators  get every month ..

Happy Sunday Friends !

This past Friday I took my computer in to be fixed  I woke up Friday morning  and  it wouldn't  turn on ..  hubby and I tried everything we  could think of...  We finally caved in &  just took it in   since I have only had  the computer  for less than 3 months it's still under warranty ( Thank God !)

Hopefully I  can get everything switched over/hooked up to my laptop .. Looks like it's gonna be a crazy couple weeks ( sorry)

Computer issues ..

Hi Stampers :

I am so sorry   to report my Computer is in the shop and being worked on . 

They told me this could take 2-3 weeks to find out what's going on with it ..( could not get it to turn on this morning)  and since everything is on that computer ( video editing program/ photoshop etc...)  I will try  uploading projects /samples from my laptop which isn't the best ...

I will still keep you posted  and let  you know if I find anything else out ..

Here is a swap I recieved  from  Mary  Rager .. Oh my goodness this is the cuttest owl I have ever  seen .

She used the matchbox die # 114890  which is what  the Top Note die #113463  and owl are  formed around

I am guessing on what else she used ...so here it  goes

• 2- step bird punch #117191 ( ears)
• Heart to Heart punch # 119881 ( feet & nose )
• 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch #119854  (3 for  breast of owl)  
• 1 3/8" Circle punch #119863 ( Baja Breeze /eyes )

Not sure what she used for the 2" circle  whisper white  for eyes

Hi Stampers : Happy Sunday Friends !

I was wanting to film Jessie  while she removed my Shellac  nails BUT I got the  dreaded "Mother"  so instead I snaped these photos  to  show  you a little  bit of the process this past Friday 4-8-2011 .

Jessie had me  soak my  fingers in Pure acetone   I am not really even sure it was a whole 10 Mins  it seemed  to go by very quickly . anyway

Then this is what Happened ... Eeeekkkk not  to pretty any more huh? 

Once Jessie  finished  cleaning my nails  this was all that was left of my French manicure .

I had purchased  the Purple Royalty CND Shellac nail polish  the last time I went to Salon Centric aka Malys  so I took that with me  to have her put  that on my nails since I didn't remember seeing a purple the  last time I was at Jessie's school  .. LOVE IT!

The color matches my jacket perfectly :) How cool is that ..

Plus look Bowzer got his nails painted too by Jessie, He didnt want to feel left out ya know   LOL!!!

No shellac  for Bowzer  though ~  after seeing this photo Gee Whiz I   need  to cut his nails poor baby   :(

My Shellac Nails update :

Hi Stampers :

 As of 2 days ago ( Tuesday April 4, 2011 )  I have offically  had Shellac on my nails for  (14 ) days .

Unbelievable  is what comes to my mind .

Holy Moly   No chip's ~No peeling ~ still glossy  too .

I took this  photo of my nails on Tuesday aka Day 14 .

The only  thing I have noticed is that my nails are growing much faster -vs- the Shellac to come off ( which is a good thing ) .  I have new growth showing under the french manicure and also at the cuticle line .

BUT  other then that they still look  great.  I think   in the future  10-11 days is when I will redo mine  since I think 14 days is alittle  to long for a French Manicure ( shows new growth to much )  .

I will be trying a  solid color called "Rock Royality" its purple ( Yahoo!)   and I think it will be  alot better looking after the 10+ days

As of today  Thursday I still haven't removed  the Shellac  but will be doing so this morning .

Removing Shellac  is at least a 10 min process you  will need  to soak  your nails in Acetone Nail polish remover  and then  from there I have no clue ( Jessie  will be doing that )

 Jessie said the Shellac  will either peel off or  you  need a orange wood stick to scrape if off after you soak them for 10 mins in Acetone  polish remover  .

Now I will be attempting to do Shellac on my nails myself

Fun Flowers for Mother

I used the Fun Flowers Bigz die #121812  along  with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder #117335.

Used Crumb Cakecard stock#120953  for the base  part of the card  then layered  Early Espresso#119686 on top of  that .

For the Beautiful  fun flower  I used Very Vanilla  card stock #101650 

The  greeting "Happy Mothers Day " is from the  Teeny Tiny Wishes  stamp set #115370

Paisley Petals

Hi Stampers :

 Happy Tuesday friends!

I love Love Love the Spring is Blossoming  promotion  Pasiley Petals  Designer paper #122367  HERE

 I used the 1 1/4" Square punch #119865 with Baja Breeze card stock # 111352  .

 Then  cut the  DSP at 1 1/8" X 1 1/8" squares  to layer on Baja Breeze  squares .

 Layered all those squares onto Early Espresso card stock #119686 cut at 4" X 5 1/4" 

 I use Crumb Cake card stock #120953 for the base

I broke up the squares  up with 2 strips of Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding ribbon # 122331

I used the Live Laugh Love stamp set # 117114

Added ( 3 ) Vanilla Rosettes #118774  with a Basic Rhinestone# 119246  in the center .

Glitter Queens 3rd quarter cards ..

Happy Monday Friends !

I thought I would show  you my Glitter Queens ( Downline)  cards I made for  them last quarter .

I used My Digital Studio . I used Pink Pirouette  background color  with the  decorative border from  Love Birds . The Flowers are  from the Petal Pizzazz set. and added a So Saffron brad to the ceter of the flowers .

 
  Here is what  the inside looks like . I carried the  front of the card into the inside  to bring it all together.

 I think I may have  used the Opacity control a little  to much  for the inside greeting with the Define  your Life Stamp HAPPY .
