Happy Wednesday Friends !

OH my goodness guess what tomorrow  is ? Sept 1, 2011  and you all know what that means right ? 

The Holiday mini starts tomorrow !!! YAHOO!

Seriously the Best Holiday mini ever .

BUT Guess what today is ??? 

It's our 23rd Wedding Anniversary ...  As Hubby would say

" It feels like it's only been  5 mins"  

Aaaawwwww he is so sweet ... till he completes  that thought with 

" Yeah 5 mins being held under water " .. LOL ! 

I love you Honey  !

I made this  cute little holiday goody box  with the Box #2 Big shot  die # 114158  with the Wisteria Wonder card stock #122922 

( I Sure do love this new In color )

The greeting is from the Merry & Type  stamp set

with the Wisteria Wonder classic ink # 122936.

I also used a  few new Items from the Holiday mini (starting tomorrow ) as well

• The Snow Burst Embossing  folder # 124096
• Silver Glimmer paper # 124005
• Stocking Builder punch # 124095

For the handle  I added  the Wisteria Wonder  3/8" Ruffed ribbon #122973 with Sticky Strip # 104294.

I then finished off the  front of the box and  also the handle  with some Basic Rhinestones # 119246.

Spooky box of chocolates

Hi Stampers :

Happy Tuesday Friends ! 

I made this adorable spooky box  using the Big Shot die called Bitty Box & Envelope # 115967

I then used the Spider Web  embossing folder # 120889 to  embossing the  top of the  box .

I used the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set

(w) 123944

(c) # 123946

Punched that out with the 1" circle punch #119868

Layered that onto  the Frightful Sight  designer paper # 122351   which was punched out with the  1 1/4" circle punch #119861 .

I then punched out Lucky Limade  card stock # 122926 with the 1 3/8" circle punch# 119860.

I then tied a piece of 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade# 122977.

The  Chocolate candy ( Hershey Nuggets )  is wrapped with the Frightful Sight DSP  also  and those strips were cut at  1" x 3 1/4"

Happy Sunday friends!  

Jessie  has her Practical exam set  for Sept 6th  and  when she passes that she will be able  to schedule her  Theory part of her  exam .

Last night Hubby took me out  to a  movie and  to dinner for an early Anniversary  date . Yup after 23 years he still  is my most favorite date.  

I've been working on my September  newsletter this weekend which will be sent out on Sept 1st,  and I also  got 2 videos  filmed yesterday for this upcoming week .

Praying for all of you in the path of Hurricane Irene .

Gently Falling Resist...

Here is another sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be in the new Holiday Mini 2011  which starts Sept 1, 2011 .

The set is called Gently Falling  and its a Beautiful 2 step stamp set

( Love it ).

I did the embossing resist technique on my card  today .

I have an "older "video on embossing resist click HERE  to view that .

I also used the  background stamp called En Francis # 109521

Notice the new  Very Vanilla 3/8" Velvet Stitched ribbon  which is also in the new Holiday mini .  So beautiful to touch.

The card stock colors  I used on my card are  the Baja Breeze #111352 , Crumb Cake # 120953 & Very Vanilla # 101650 .

Finished  the card  with the Basic Pearls #119247

Measurements of layers  starting with base  and working up are as follows :

• Baja Breeze 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
• Crumb Cake  4" X 5 1/4"
• Baja Breeze   3 1/4" x 4"
  
• Crumb Cake  3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
  
• Baja Breeze  3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

I did the masking technique  for the main image  which I have a video HERE on masking  if you  would like to see that video .

I used Wisteria Wonder ink # 122936   and Bashful Blue ink 105209 .

  I embossed  the Happy Halloween with Black embossing powder #109133  and then stamped the image again on Whisper White card stock  and hand cut out  the  tiny  ghost  and popped him up on a Dimensionals # 104430.

I added 2 Silver Mini Brads # 122941  and then  finished off  with a  spary of the Champagne Shimmer Paint # 116806  mixed with Alcohol .

Happy Sunday Friends !

I have gotten many emails on my Fabulous Potatoes that I cook on the grill . Funny thing is they are sooo easy and maybe not really that famous outside our friends and family .

I thought I would tell you what I do to make them step by step . ( not many steps though)

#1  I peel the potatoes but you don't have to . Once I peel them I slice them into a piece of Aluminium fold tear off a big enough piece so you can wrap it tightly around the potatoes ( see photo above ) .

#2 Sprinkle Morton Season Salt  ( yes this one is the best we have found )  all over the sliced potatoes

#3 Next add rings of onions  and whatever  else you like  & then add lots of Butter ( we use real butter )  .

#4 Wrap everything up tightly I start at the center and then wrap the ends up . ( see photo above )

#5 Cook on grill for about 30 mins ~ flipping at least once during those 30 mins. You can always  poke with a fork to see if they are  done .

We  love cooking everything on the grill and everything  shown on  the plate above was cooked on the grill

• Steak
• Potatoes
• Garlic cloves
• Asparagus

Friday night  we went to Lapeer Days with our friends Steve & Linda and Andrew . Had a Fabulous time... Plus we  got to ride the Harley there  which is always  GREAT!

Wowie the clown( photo above with hubby)  did Face painting  and OMG she was amazing  I wish I had snapped a picture of her work . WOWIE fits her perfectly  and she us cute as a button too .

We got an awesome mug  which I have  a couple pics of that  for you  to see .

PLUS check out the  fancy expandable hats Linda and I found . AAwwww she is sooo cute  wearing the purple one

Also this weekend we kicked off the Woodward Dream Cruise. 

Here is my Sunday share video . It's  Awesome  and I especially like the 2 BIG rough guys . I can so picture  my hubby doing  something like that LOL ~ I love everything about this video .

The 2nd item that new is what's inside my Shaker window which is the Mica Flakes

Convention 2011 Make &Take ...

Christmas Petite Pocket ....

Happy Monday friends !

Here is the New Petite Pocket Bigz die # 123131  ( page 221 in Idea Book & Catalog) .

I used the Cherry Cobbler card stock #119685  along with the Letters  to Santa  designer paper # 122349

I  hand cut out one of the  postage stamped images from the DSP and  added  it to the front of the Petite Pocket envelope.

Added  some Bakers Twine in Cherry Chobbler / White #123125 

PLUS do you see  a tiny sneak Peek ?

Look  at  the bottom of the envelope  and you can see the brand new  Mini Jingle Bells  which will be in the Holiday mini  Starting Sept 1, 2011

What I love about this Petite Pocket Bigz die is that  a gift card  or money can fit inside perfectly . I will do a video  on this  fabulous die very soon .

This past Tuesday Jessie offically  graduated  from Cosmetology school  with 1,500 hours ~ WOW  what an exciting day  for our little  girl !

Here is the  card I made  for Jessie  on her big day . I used her current favorite color ( Pool Party # 122924 & IN color DSP # 122384 ) and her Favorite Basic Rhinestones# 119246   for her card .

I also used the Pinking Hearts  Border punch # 117649 in Black card stock # 121045

The  main image on the card is from a Stamp set we got at convention  for us demonstrators only  ( Love that set )

The greeting on the  bottom  is from the stamp set is a Hostess ONLY  set called  Perfect Words

The inside  I used the stamp set called Word Play

Jessie  wanted to make a cake for her big day to share with all her friends  so here is her cake .. Oh my goodness  she added food coloring  to each layer of her cake  to make it  look sooo amazing  when she cut into it .. Pretty  awesome !!

After  Graduation  we  took her and her best friend Kayla  out to eat at Chilli's  . What a Fabulous Day !

Jessie  is currently  waiting  to go take her  state board to get her license  which  she should find out  that date  in a couple weeks . She  has been applying to Salons  and  she  has one  salon  waiting her to come back  when she is offically licensed  YAHOO!!

 I made a short video of Jessie's Fabulous Day which I posted below .

I used the  stamp set called The Open Sea

I used my sponge  to add  Night of Navy ink # 102977  to the Crumb Cake card stock # 102953

The Greeting is from the Hostess ONLY set called Perfect Words

I punched that out with the  Modern Label punch #119849  then layered that onto Night of Navy card stock  with the Magnetic Movers & Shapers  Punch windows  Big shot die # 115953 on page 221 in Big catalog .

to finish off my card I added the Mini Silver Brads # 122941 Oh my goodness  these brads are sooo amazing .

Kidoodles Birthday card .

 I was so excited  I  had a chance  to sit down and make a  Birthday card  this past week  and It was so much fun  cause I got  to use the  Cupcake builder punch  #121807  ( Love this punch )

Dylan's Graduation card .

Here is the card I made for  Dylans Graduation party  a couple  Saturdays ago .

I used Concord Crush # 119792  and Whisper White card stock #100730 along with the  Star punch and small star punch( which both have been retired ) .

Hip Hip Hooray ...

 Happy Monday friends !

After I filmed  a video  and seen the  Lucky Limeade with my nail polish ( which looks like Melon Mambo)  I thought I would  make a card using those colors .

I used  the  stamp set called Patterned Party

Yup I hand cut out alot of the images and popped them up on Dimensionals # 104430 ( see 2nd photo) 

I used  the Lucky Limeade  card stock # 122926 and Marker #123002

with the Melon Mambo card stock #115320 and Marker #121074

I used the  3/16" corner punch  on the Whisper white and Melon  Mambo .

I added  some  Dazzling Diamonds #102023   to make it sparkle in certain areas . Then finished  off the card with a bow using the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon
