Look what my Momma got me . Oh my goodness you all had me laughing so hard yesterday with your thoughts on what it could be . In my heart I didn't really think anyone would ever guess what it was, But you sure do know I love pickles and everything purple .... You all are so sweet ! Thanks so much for the giggles !
Yesterday Mom came over and she taught me the basics . You all know already she is the one that sews everything in the family ( remember those paper snips holders ) . But times are a changin LOL at least I think so .
I'm so excited .The sewing machine is very basic BUT that's what I love most about it . I was sewing everything Yup even card stock gonna be alot of fun adding a sewing machine to my love of stamping .
Tomorrow is our 24th Wedding Anniversary ...Plus it's my Father-In-Law's Birthday too .
Here are a few photos of the Hoka Hey Party last weekend . The top photo is all the Hoka Hey riders who came back from the Party I am sure there are some missing BUT not sure of the number who were there.
The next couple photos is of the check for the prize money hubby was holding with Walter and Frank. The $44,000 was split between the 31 contenders who finished in the alotted time .
( Dan and Bob were not present ) Then there's Beth cutting the check for hubby .
Here is Beth getting on her hubby Jim's Harley when he wasn't around . Beth is so little but she did get on it .
The next photo is her with her Bike LOL!
The next photo is hubby with Jim .
This past Friday Hubby and I took a ride out to Wolverine Harley and I finally got to get on a bike where I could touch my feet to the ground . Hubby's Road King classic is huge and I feel like I am climbing onto it every time . Not that I am complaining It's just that is way to big of a bike for me but perfect for hubby .
Look what showed up in my mail on Friday !goodies for Stampin'Up! Founder Circle .
Side note :
Last week hubby and I were cleaning out our garage ( I wish I had taken before photos & there is still alot to do. The wall where the bikes are will be the place for hubby's tool chests (2) )
The garbage man will love us this week NOT! .
Somewhere between cleaning and sorting and maybe eating something I shouldn't have my hands are having a flare up with RA and yesterday I wasn't able to even pick up a stamp let alone make goodies & videos for this upcoming.
Hopefully I will be able to stamp something in the next couple days and get them posted for you BUT if not I wanted to give you a heads up as to why ....
BUT Tomorrow I will be posting a project we made at our stampers club night from Friday Aug 12th. I will try and get the video posted as soon as my hands/ fingers feel better.

This was a card I made trying to figure out what I wanted to make for my swaps for Founders circle . This year SU! has requested that we make all our swap cards with no more then 2 layers + the base card .
I have been playing and trying to come up with a design for swaps even though this isn't my swap I will be making for Founders Circle I still really love all the sparkle .
My Swap card ends up being Halloween themed and staying within the guidelines requested . I will post my swap card when I am at Founders next month .
As you read this blog post this morning we will be heading back home from Irving NY (again) We drove back Saturday morning for the Hoka Hey Party that was held yesterday 2-Midnight . OH my goodness ...I have more photos to share with you from this fun night .
Here's is something that's pretty awesome .
Rich met the guys he was riding with for the Hoka Hey in Las Vegas (AWESOME guys ) one of them is Walter ( see photo above ) ...
Get this Walter is 70 yrs old and lives in Louisanna and when they got to New York Rich asked if I could make a copy of my directions to get to I-75 and I'm like yeah of course .. Where is he going ?? Walt is going to Clarkston MI to see his Sister OMG!!! We live right next to Clarkston so this past Friday night Him and Walt hooked up for a Harley ride down to the Dream Cruise on Woodward .
PLUS Walter drove with us back to NY for the Hoka Hey party
PLUS we picked up Lee to go to the party with us as well . We met at Bike week in Commerce Twp. right before Hubby left for Vegas who wants to do the Hoka Hey next year with hubby ..
Hubby put 6,274.9 Miles on his bike in 1 week that's AMAZING !! and he can't wait to do it again next year .
The photo above makes me laugh everytime I look at it .
We call that photo Butt Stretches ... Hubby said after the 1st (8) hours his butt went numb .
PLUS the guys had no more than (14) hours of sleep for the week on the ride ( that was an adverage of 2 hours a night .
Click HERE to view the photo of Hubby on the Tail of the Dragon photo from Killboy.com offical Trail of the Dragon photographer.
I have so many more photos of this amazing adventure hubby was on. I have lots more to share with you so I started a photo gallery which you can click HERE to view those that I have uploaded so far .
I made a quick 1 1/2 minute video from the Hoka Hey and that's my Sunday Share video for you today below .
If you subscribe to my Blog feed want to check out todays Sunday Share video click HERE .
I am leaving this morning for New York to meet my hubby as he crosses the finish line . I had plans to get things ready for my blog this upcoming week BUT the power went out Friday afternoon until yesterday afternoon so my big plans were put on the back burner (more on that below.)
Hubby's "window " time of arrival is between 6:38 pm tonight - Tomorrow at 8:30am.
If all goes as planned we both should be back home no later than Tuesday evening .
I have a couple projects ready to post while I am away BUT since we lost power I wasn't able to get much else done . I did film my videos for this upcoming week already... Just need to be back home before Thursday to upload them for you . Plus I have my club girls coming over Friday so we better be home before Friday .
This last week following my hubby on the Hoka Hey tracker has been so addicting . The Photo above are some other peeps addicted to the tracker map . Actually this was taken at the check in LA. at the Renegade Harley Davidson and everyone was watching for the riders to roll in AWESOME HUH?
Renegade Harley Davison dealer was their 2nd check in on the route BUT not only that they also gave drinks / snacks and offered sleeping areas to all the riders. I thought this sign was cute .
They even offered a FREE wake up call which for this rider was at 4pm . LOVE THAT!
I loved hearing from some of you who were following my hubby too ....That makes me smile .
Between my cousin Ruthie and Jessie we have been chatting about making TEAM RICH #725 t-shirts so Jessie made this one on Tuesday with a Sharpie . Ruthie wanted me to stamp some shirts BUT I need a Hoka Hey stamp for that .
It has been so AMAZING But I can hardly wait to hear all about this journey when I see my man .
I am very Thankful that these 4 guys took hubby under their wings for this amazing adventure . Thank you Bob, Dan, Frank & Walter
By the time he reaches the finish line in New York he got to ride through
NV, UT, CO, NE, KS, MO, AR, LA,
MS, AL, TN, GA , NC, WV, VA , PA & NY.
By the time Friday night rolled around I could really tell Hubby was missing me by the photo he sent me ( above ) LOL!
Here is my hubby's sleeping quarters friday night . Which by the way was probably the only time he got a decent amount of sleep (more than (3) hours I am sure .
Tarp over his Harley and stakes in ground to hold tarp in place to give him and his Harley shelter as a storm passes through .
All riders have to sleep outside NO hotels allowed
PLUS he took his 1st shower since leaving Vegas on Sunday so that in itself made him feel so much better getting cleaned up .
Yesterday afternoon they were going to be hitting the "Tail of the Dragon " OMG!!! google that when you get a chance . The guys are VERY excited !!!
Thank you all for your prayers for my hubby and all the riders this past week . It has been an adventure they will NEVER forget .
Hubby is already talking about doing it again next year since next year will be the last time for the Hoka Hey and next year will be one for the record books I've heard . .
Ok here is my Sunday share video for you today .
Lauragot her paper snips holder video done YAHOO!!! so I thought I would make that my Sunday share video for you today .
ok 1 more sunday share video perfect for what my hubby experienced this past week . Praise God !!
If you subscribe to my Blog feed click HERE to watch today's Sunday share videos .
ClickHERE to view video on Baby box ~ Inside boxes .
I broke these videos up so each video will have it's own link, instead of everything in one video Since some may want to watch the Large Baby box video instead of watching the whole video for 1 certain project .
Today is the BIG day .. Hubby is heading out on a his riding adventure, actually as you read this he will already be on his way to complete 6,000 miles across the USA.
He has (1) week to reach the finish line starting from this morning at 6:00am
The really cool thing is that his Harley has GPS attached on it (rules for the Hoka Hey ) and we can track his journey .
His number is 725 and on theHOKA HEY web site the GPS map is LIVE YAHOO!
What else is cool about the GPS it tells us how long the harley has been on /off.
While in Vegas he has been helping put together the goodie bags that will be handed out to each rider and he also bought a camera to record parts of his journey .
The camera is really cool and can attach to his helmet or windshield and that means easy access and with 2 disc's he can record up to (10 ) hours of riding time . I told him just remember that's (10) hours of editing the film when he gets home LOL!
Here is a coin he got when he checked in on Friday. It's Gorgeous .
Here is the front and the back . I am assuming the coin is like the ones he was given when he was in Iraq which those are all gorgeous as well . Look at the back side it has his # 725
Dawn's Favorite new find:
My favorite new find comes via a infomercial. Not sure if any of you have seen the one with WEN haircare .
I guess I should say Who hasn't seen this infomercial ??
WOW!! This stuff is AMAZING!
I have been using it for nearly 3 months now and I have it set to auto ship . My next shipment comes this month .
If you plan on trying this product I have a few tips to offer you :
Order the 3 months supply when you 1st order . They offer a smaller package ( 30 days) BUT if you are like me you will fall in love with it and be sorry when you run out . PLUS after the 1st inital order ( if you order the smaller (30 days) package ) you will be set up with the 3 month supply on auto ship anyway so why not do the 3 month supply on your 1st order so you don't run out and"IF" you don't love it you can still return it no matter if you get the smaller package or the 3 month supply ( 60 day money back guarantee)
Another tip : The Cleansing Conditioner aka Shampoo does NOT lather so that may freak you out when you 1st use it BUT don't let that scare you . Trust me when I say my hair color doesn't last long with my thin hair in the 1st place but with WEN there are no harsh chemicals and stripping agents in the cleansing conditioner so that means longer lasting color YAHOO!
My hair has NEVER felt so fabulous since using this product . I even got my mom and Jess using it . I love everything in this product line and that's all I use now + my reg. hairspray . If you could have seen all the products I used for my hair prior to WEN you would be amazed .
When I went to convention a couple weeks ago I couldn't believe how little I package for hair care products .
I have tried the Sweet Almond ( which is what you get with your 1st shipment ) I orderd an extra bottle in the Cucumber ( a month later for my convention trip ) and I have Pomagrate coming this month . All of them are fabulous so I guess it's just what smell you like and they have LOTS to choose from .
I am not affiliated with Wen just a very happy customer.
Here is my Sunday share video. I posted this video a few years back and thought I would share it again with you today.
