Today is the day I pass the info out to you  wonderful stampers that want to still  show your love  by  sending  our troops  your  beautiful hand stamped Cards .. It makes me cry every time I hear it  so needless to say,  I was a crying MESS  when I was making this video Friday night..

Cards for the troops  showcase today ..  Quick note to please Remember I will stop accepting Cards for the troops  April 1st.  Next week I will  post  some  blogger girls that are  continuing  this mission  and  you  can always hook up with them .. I  also received  a box of  soo many  beautiful cards for the troops  yesterday  from Snookie Hilker Thank you  girlie ..  Update on my hubby .. He has been transfered to a new base ( very small ) in  the area which was known as Babylon  in Bible times  and well  I'm  requesting  prayers for him  and all who are over in Iraq seems   bombs are  hitting  this  base  where  my hubby  is  at daily  sometimes  up to 12 times a day  I can't imagine  the fear  they live with every day over there . My hubby  is also waiting hear  about the State dept  Job he  applied for.  We are also praying for God's will for  this situation also .. He is very excited  about  that  position  But  with good  things ,  It  seems  to have  a  down  side  HUH? ..  When he  gets this position w/ the State dept it looks like he will be over there  for at least  another year , Praise God  that HE is in control  and I have faith in what ever happens  will be  the perfect  thing for him and us .  God is using him in  ways  we would have never thought . Thank you  for your prayers  girls . Wishing you  all a Very Blessed Resurrection Sunday. Praise God~ He has Risen

More Beautiful cards for the troops  to showcase today .. Remember  April 1st is the cut off date for sending  in your cards for the troops .

We all had a super fun night stamping together.We had Kristen join us ( Hi Kristen ) she found me  through my blog ( It was   sooo  awesome to meet  her IRL  and have  fun stampin)   I had a very busy day yesterday, So it  looks like it may be  a relaxing day today after church .. Cards for the troops ...

Thought  I would share a  couple more photos My hubby took of the troops with your beautiful cards ..  Sorry they are not  that clear  But still exciting  to see  the guys  with  the cards HUH? Yesterday  was a busy day  We had a fix up day at our church .. Jessie was helping clean the Nursey  toys  with Bleach and  she  had a  reaction to   breathing that  for almost 2 hours  and  when we returned Home  she said her throat  felt like it was tight and could hardly breath.  We went to the  Medical clinic and  she ended up  getting a breathing treatment  and  then also   a RX of steroids for 5 days .  Talk about a scare  of a lifetime ...  I  also had to delay our club meeting by an hour last night. Thank you  girls  for understanding . Your the BEST!

Angels all around us ..

I  Just love this sweet  stamp set  IF THE HALO FITS mainly  I loved the sayings in this set BUT the little angel is  sooo  adorable .. I had fun making this card  and it  could even  be turned into one of THESE  quite easily  but I kept it as a simple  sweet card  in general .. I love the new Designer paper SPRING FLING also ..  Reminds me of the designer paper we had back in the winter mini in 2007 called"Loves me " many of the  same designs but in  bright cheery colors Just love this DS paper ( just wish there was a touch of purple  somewhere  wink wink .. I am sooo ready for Spring aren't you ?

Speaking of Angels : 

I also want to mention that  the Cards for the Troops  will be  coming to an end  sometime  at the end of March  beginning of April .Hubby  will be either coming  home  in June/July  OR He will be  working  with the State dept over there for another year   either way,   We thought  that  with   all that in the  air  we would  set a date  to  stop  accepting  Cards For The Troops .. What a a Blessing it has been  doing this mission  for our troops , sending  love in  a hand stamped cards  to all of them . UPDATE: I have sent over 53 Flat Rate boxes( with 3 more heading out  this week) of Cards for the troops since May of last year. Sending BIG {{HUGS}}}  With  Much  appreciation for your wonderful Cards, Extra  goodies for our troops , Money donations, Envelope donations & prayers  You all  have the biggest hearts  and  YOU are all  AMAZING women  and I am very  honored to have  been a part of this with all of YOU! If you  wish to  send your cards for the troops please do so Before April 2008.   If something  should arise  in the near future  you all will be the  1st to know ..  I Thank you  from the bottom of my heart  for all  your beautiful cards  you all have sent  in  for our Troops.  I do know  your cards have  touched their hearts as well as their loved ones  back home .. I will gather some info  for those that wish to still send cards  for the troops  but by other means  through other groups / bloggers /  organizations  etc after April   and I will pass this info on to all of you  at that time ...Thank  so much for peeking in to  see whats going on in my stampin world ..Enjoy  your day and I will see you all again tomorrow ..

Cards for the troops Sunday Showcase 12-16-07

Howdy girls .. So  did you notice anything new  on my blog Hee! Hee! .. I thought I would change it  up a wee bit and   try  a Black background for a  little while  NO I am  NOT  giving  up on my PURPLE  just thought  I wanted a change .. sure wish  there were more  appealing  layouts on  this  typepad . anyway what do you think ?  Keep or  go back to purple one ??  I would love to   read your  thoughts  girls ..  also I have set  up a little bitty  stamp shop ( over on the left hand side )   check it  out when  ever you  want .. I only have 2  things in there right now  and I am trying  out  the Blog spot  for   my  little shop .. any tips you  girls want to share with me about that  type of blog would be great too .. I also modified  my  blog a bit  also  took  a few things off  ( My awards  and  live traffic feed  and  etc...) ..  so maybe this will help  those of you  with dial  up .. I have comcast  so I can cruise around my  site  pretty quick and I forget those of you  with dial up takes forever .. anyway please let me know if this helps getting on to my  blog  a little  quicker ..

So  want to see  some beautiful cards for the troops I have  received  over the last  several months ?  OK stop twisting my  arm .. I got a bunch coming at cha today .. OH my  I got  this  HUGE package in the mail a couple days ago and It was from my  friend Barb Mann and her friends ( Kay ,Toni, Joani and Pat )  and  you will never guess what was inside this HUGE BOX???  take a look .. It is holding 333 cards for the troops ..  WOWZIE  so many beautiful cards  girls .. all of them will be soo loved   by our  troops .. SO this makes the  Grand total for the cards for the troops 6,521 Oh My goodness ..  Thank you  all so much .. Ok Now on to the  show  and BOY I am showing alot of the Cards  today That I have received over the last 7 months Enjoy them all ..

Cards for the troops sunday showcase 11-18-07

More showing off today .. BUT showing off  all your cards   not mine today  :-)   Such Beautiful cards . I am down to  about 2 boxes   left to ship out to hubby ..  It seems   he  gets  his mail alot later  since moving to   the base he is currently  at  for  some reason .. He  arrived  there the beginning of Oct  and  was  suppose to leave  and  go back  to the not  so good  base ( You know the  one  where   he walks   forever to  the bathroom / shower  and sleeps in  a tent  you remember right ?)   

on Dec 1st But  he will  wait to do that  after  he gets back from R&R ( YIPPEE)     He will also  ship all his personal things back to the  1st location before he  heads  home .. Gee whiz   he  sure is  raking up those   frequent flyer  miles .. :-)

He is actually  getting ALOT of  Frequent flyer miles   and  trying to get enough for 2  tickets  to Hawaii . Have a Fabulous day girls and Thanks  so much for sharing  your day with me  ..

Cards for the Troops Sunday showcase ...

  Thank you  all  again  for all your lovely  cards for the troops ..  I  just mailed out  3 more  boxes to my hubby  this Friday and  I have  3 boxes  left to  send him for the troops, Hard to believe I have mailed  almost  6,000 cards off  Boy  We were keeping our Post office  busy  the last  6 months ..  And I hear through the grapevine we have more cards for the troops on their  way ... So we as a team  for Operation Glitter drop will  surpass  the 6,000 mark  very soon . I am still waiting on  hubby to get me  some pics  of  the troops  with the beautiful cards .. so until that happens   I must wait  patiently   which is  sooo tough cause I want to see them too .. Today  is another Great  day we will be  celebrating a baby shower   at our church at service   this afternoon ...  The soon to be mommy ( This will be  #5)   is due in December ..   Would  be a hoot if  she  delivered on Jessie's  Birthday  ( Dec 1st )  We actually think  she may  deliver  sooner than  that But  either way we will be  celebrating  today  with her and  her family ..

Tomorrow  morning I will be a chaperon with my  daughters  school  It will be a all day  affair . We are  heading to the Human  body exhibit  called  OUR BODY "THE UNIVERSE WITHIN" at  the Detroit Science  Center .. Anyone see this before ? Not to sure  what to expect ,But looking forward to learning  something amazing  I am sure of that ...

  Yesterday  I had to wash my  car  since  My favoritest cousin Ruthie's  hubby ( Kirk)  was   teasing   me about  how dirty  my  wheels were on my car ...  so  I  washed my car yesterday and  for proof   I  took these photos .. ( looks good right Kirk ?)  I just had to take photos  cause who knows it  may snow ( God I hope It doesnt  snow  yet !!!)    in Michigan  by Monday  and  he wouldn't  believe me  Hee! Hee!

  Hi girls hope your weekend  is going  GREAT   Its  Sunday  and you all know what that means   right ? Cards for the troops  showcase  .. Thank you again to all  of you who sent  beautiful cards in  for our troops ..  1 quick UPDATE on hubby: He will be  transfering to a new base for a couple months in Iraq   He will be  in northern Irag  from Oct 1st - Dec 1st .. This is an answer to Prayer ..   Thank you  all  for praying  for  my hubby  and our troops . Our Club meeting  Friday night was alot of fun , and  yesterday  ALOT was   done  putting the final details  on my Hostess appreciation party  plans ..  Its getting  so Close  and I am sooo excited  to spend this night  with  my  Stampin  queens . Cards for the Troops Sunday Showcase Gallery & More ( Tad bit long today )..

Today I wanted to highlight  some of the fabulous cards   you all sent in for the troops ..  I can  now say I Have 9 boxes left to send out .I have paired up  all the remaining cards  I had  with envelopes  that you all  had sent in  and or  sent money to help this cause Thank you all so much.  Please take a look  at  THE BEFORE  photo  and Now look at  what we have  left .. Every  single card  has a envelope now Praise God! .. Thank you all  who  helped on this  envelope  mission also.  The out pour of Love  was Enormous  Thank you all so very much  from the bottom of my heart  girls. Our troops  just love  the cards  . Rich will be taking  at least a couple boxes back with him when he  returns to Iraq in September  and  He also says he has more  photos  for us  when he comes home .. stay tuned . I think I will  showcase the cards for the troops  on Sundays for  a wee bit  until  the  photos I have on file have all been showcased .. How does that sound ? There is NO way I could  add watermarks to  the photos of  each card But if you spot your's  or  a friends  please post a comment  and let me know .  since  I had  dumped  the thousands of cards out on to my living room  floor    everyones cards  got all mixed up in the bunch  so I have no idea who's is who's ..   so  thats  why I  just  added the  Cards for the  troops  watermark to all photos . Enjoy    todays gallery of  Fabulous cards girls . Last night  My honey bunch sent me   a few photos  of him YAHOO!  He has  grown a beard  since he  has left and OH my I love it .. Reminds me of grizzly Adams Hee! Hee! OH my  goodness  9 days   Left, ( NO WAY can you  believe  it ?)   Yahoo Single digits  Now. I can't hardly stand it  girls ..  seriously  I am  soooo EXCITED!   All I want to do is kiss him all over his  beautiful face ..  Hey girls do me a favor  and Kiss your  all over  your hubby's  face and tell him how much you love him , You  dont have to say I asked you too either  Wink wink ! .. Yesterday was  the car  wash for Jessie and  her classmates   here  are a couple photos of  that  fun day  raising money for their  Senior  trip in 2010.. Hummm Maybe  a Disney Cruise ... Ok just one more Photo  K?  here is Jessie and I  at the car wash yesterday  too .. Man she is  sooo tall and I am sooo short .. Look  she is showing  some PDA  ( Public  display of Affection )  to her Momma  AAAugh.

This was  such a  fun post for me today.  Thanks  for  looking  and  for all your  sweet emails  & comments  about  you  girls counting  down the days  with us . Its been  such a blessing to share  my life with you all .

Just Buzzin around this Friday..

Yup seems like I have been buzzin around here the last 2 days ..OH boy with the new catalogs  delivered  and   taking photos  of all my  retired sets ( 100's added  for Sundays   photo gallery ) YIKES!! thats a job in a half for  sure .. But at least I will have them there  from now on right ? Thats a relief ...  I have sets  for sale  that  were from  a couple years past  also maybe   some  even older than that , so Please don't  hesitate   to check them all out on Sunday ( 2 Days )    and email me  about anything on the list  if your interested ..  More details on all that on Sunday .. 

SO with all the buzzin around it only seems fit to post a  cute bee  buzzin around  right ? I used the  New Pick A Petal for my  bee  wings  and I  then  used the  saying from  Farm fever  ( which DID NOT retire ~ YIPPEE!!) I omitted the bee  and  just used my  black marker  to  color the  words and then stamped  pretty easy   Tent topper  card ..  I used the 3/4 circle  punch for his head and  the 1 1/4  circle punch  for  the bottom  part of his body .I did add glitter to the wings  of course this was after the photo was taken .. Don't you hate that ( sorry )   .. I Just can't leave well enough alone  Ya know .. I used  Kraft  CS and  yo yo yellow  ( man it seems I have been using that alot  HUH? yo yo yellow that is ..) along with black cs .  I added  two  bows  with  Maize and black GG ribbon  and then  I cant  finish  my card without my  white gel pen  for the  dots and I also hand drew the  flying  lines  behind the  bee  which continues  right on to the main base of the card .. That was  me just flying ( No pun intended ) by the  seat of my  pants  with that little  add on .. I kinda like it

Howdy Chicken soup fans ..

Yesterday I mailed out Todd's card and I also added  this small  chicken  soup / get well  goodie inside ..  he should be  quite surprised to  get it .. even though yesterday  he did say he was feeling  a little better  since he got  some antibiotic's from the doc . But you know the  chicken  soup packet  will help him alot more right ?  right!

This is what it looks like opened  and inside  holds  the chicken soup  broth packet.. so cute  and   even though this is a new stamp set this  year its going bye bye   on this years retirement list .. I actually had to borrow my moms  set again to make this one for Todd  since I do not own this set personally  Thank goodness for mommas.. I know this looks really familuar  to my  club girls   since we made these this past March .. See It always helps to keep your  project worksheet  girls .. Can you see the  white gel pen  I added to the background  of the  swirls  from the Background basics   stamp set ..  I also  double stamped the  steam above the  bowl of  soup .. I love that steamy  stamp. Its sooo cute.   

This little chicken  broth holder  above  measures 9 3/4 X 3 1/4 score   on both ends  at 3 1/4  then  cut the right side  end  at a  diagonal from inside of  3 1/4 score line to  1/2  way down or so  to outside edge,  then apply a  thin line of  adhesive  to the  bottom  edge and  fold over  to the inside  TA DA  instant   pocket for the  chicken  broth .. Sure hope this make sense girls ..

Happy Mail Day!!!

Nope No new catalogs yet ( Boy I wish )  .. But  something  that comes in a close runner up  for exciting mail is  something  from my  Great friend ANGIE .. She emailed me  last Wednesday and  thought we should send  each other something  we made .. ya know  something fun ,  cute and  something to spark some  stampin fun of our own .. and Look what I got  YIPPEE!!! I so love everything Angie  makes. She is sooo Talented  and  to think she sent this  super  cute  Mini note  card holder  to me along with  the   oh so adorable doggie  stamp  pack and  super cute   mini doggie buttons.. OH I  just LOVE  it all  Angie  Thank you  so Much!!!  You ROCK GF!!

This Past Saturday  at our  club night  My bestest  Gal Gina  brought in  a ton of  cards from her   children's  schools  ( check out that updated  amount for the cards for the troops ) the cards were made by Children and also Teachers .. Thank you  so Much..  Such cute cards. Speaking of cards  Boy I have been  slacking in posting   some of those cards for the troops  you  all have sent in  . So very thankful I did take photos of them  since   a ton are already  gone and  probably on their way back to  the states  to the their loved ones , anywho .. Here  are  a few  of the  cards for the troops  I still have photos of  and  I will try and share  them  with you  on each post  every day  Okey dokey ..

          Yesterday at P.T  Todd wasn't  feeling to good  ( stuffy  nose ) and  I  really guess  he wasn't feeling good cause  even though I  did  the torcher chamber   machine  He was  fairly easy on me  for the rest of my  PT. Guess I need to make him either a  Get well soon  card  OR maybe   a  Thank you card  Hee! Hee!  I will put it  in the mail today  so it will show up   tomorrow  when I don't go  see him ,Thats  kinda nice  huh? getting mail at work  instead of hand delivering it to him today  .. What do you think ?
