Good Morning

Yesterday was FULL of surprises  Some wonderful and some UGLY!!  lets start with the Wonderful shall we a couple weeks ago It was  announced that I  was a 3rd place winner  in Phillis’s card contest  on SCS YAHOO!  So you ask "Whats that all about "?

She had no time to offer a swap  for her customers to get ideas  so she offered a contest for  anyone interested in sending her cards  and her and her customers would be the judges, well she made the announcement  that I was  the winner of 3rd place WOW what a thrill  to win something  what  was even more exciting is that I had won from a submission I sent her  who would have THUNK ~ ME so for my  3rd place winnings  Phyllis awarded me with a 15.00 prize  from  SU! in a CDO ( Customer direct Order )  YAHOO!  well this is where  todays   card upload  comes in ..I picked the very cute  stamp set " Birthday beauty "  and through all my MESS yesterday I was able to  grabbed a 1/2 hour to  be able  to create this  simple card  before church cardstock used was pixie pink, certainly celery, whisper white . set Birthday beauty , and the  dots,swirls,and  swigglies  all hand drawn  watercolored  with classic inks and aquapainter , and of course Glitter ..I love the way she turned out .. Thank you so Much Phyllis What a GREAT day  to recieve FREE Rubbah  when I wasnt expecting  a delivery so soon .

OK now on to  my  Other BIG surprises  yesterday  My mom came down  alittle after 9 am yesterday to help me get the room  empty and ready  for the BIG extreme Makeover everything went into my living room (WHAT A MESS )

.. well we got it all done  around 1:30 BIG suprise  that we did it so quickly The  worse part was pulling up the old carpet and track strip  and OH MY those thousands of staples  We removed ( Oh my aching back )  once we removed the carpet what to my wondering eyes  appeared  why it was a WOOD floor   Now for the UGLY surpise .. the more we took up the carpet the more we found stained wood 

at 1st glace we thought we could sand it  and stain it and seal it BUT  If we had more time on our side we may have done that  BUT  we have to be totally done tonight  for the BIG SURPRISE  on Friday  when daughter gets home ….so mom and me cleaned the floor as well as could be  and  then  Hubby came home, seemed we got a very Late start since he had a business meeting at the church  and then church services we didnt even get started until around 9:45pm YIKES I was sweating bullets .

well as of 11:45 pm we got the floor finished  and It is FABULOUS!! Not to bad since we both had NO idea what we  were doing  when we started

Today is going to be another busy day gonna run to wally world and spend some money on  decortive  goodies .( lamps, chair, curtains, rugs  etc..)  Hubby needs to purchase  base board trim  and  put that in today and then comes the putting  the Loft bed  and  everything moved back in ..OH MY should be a fun filled day .. stay tuned .. Now  back to our regular scheduled programing
