I guess this is what I get when I am stamping kinda of goofy .. What ever I had yesterday that made me feel so yucky it was gone around 7:00pm last night I still have a cough But my head doesn’t feel like 50lbs any longer WHEW! This card was made last night , I was feeling kinda silly and thought it would be a cute and kinda different .. I used the Ant from the Bugs and Kisses stamp set , itty bitty background in real red, and of course my Karen foster snap stamps ( love them ) OH and yes last but not least I added red stickles glitter to my ant bodies kinda reminds me of fire ants I suppose Hee! Hee! But seriously Fire ants are not funny IRL. I than added gingham ribbon in black and red .. Actually this card seems a tad bit plain for my liking But Plain is good for a change .I guess this would maybe fall into the NO layers type of card BUT I did add a couple strips of black to the bottom of the top layer .. so maybe this doesn’t fit in the NO layer card category after all ..Any who ..Thank you all for emailing me and your well wishes for my sick day yesterday . You all are such sweethearts
I have to brag on Jessie for a bit .. Today she is turning in her poem she wrote for a calligraphy category she has entered into for MACS competition at school I want to share with you her poem she wrote for this contest .. even though She wont be judged totally on her poem writing skills ( which she is soo great at ) But more so for her calligraphy of this poem .. The one catch to this contest is that she had to use the whole alphabet in her poem in some way For example : she just had to use the letters in a word some way .. Nothing like each word had to start with the certain letter KWIM? Ok here is her Poem she wrote .
The snowflake By Jessica
A snowflake is quite dazzling
and is Magnificent to.
It is also very beautiful
just like me and you .
When the sun hits them right,
They start to sparkle and shine .
It is a perfect example of what God
can do in the winter time.
So beautiful HUH? short and sweet . She actually had a couple other versions of this poem she wrote But this ended up being the finial one to send into the contest . I always go to my daughter when I have a stampin event that as a theme to it , and she helps me make really catchy and fun titles to my theme . She is soo gifted in many ways and so happy and proud she is my daughter .. Funny thing is when I made the mat for her to frame her poem in I so wanted to put glitter all around it but I couldn’t since her frame could only be black or white and nothing else BUMMER don’t you think ? I just think the glitter would have been a nice touch since it is talking about a snowflake and sparkle and shine KWIM? But then again I am a glitter freak anyway Hee! Hee!
Today I think I am going to stamp a bit , I am also sending out a Blogger RAK today to someone on the blogger RAK club wonder who it is ? HUMMM MY lips are sealed .. stay tuned out there in bloggerland and be looking for it in your mail box .. I could give out hints BUT what fun would that be especially since I Think she would know who she is if I did give ya all a hint .. so MUMMMS the word gonna have to wait sorry ..I will say that I used my new Crab & Company set . That crab is soo cute. Thanks for peeking in today and I will see you tomorrow . Have a Terrific Tuesday!
Until later .. Happy Stampin!

Good morning, Glad you are feeling better. Love your ant card–very clever as usual! Tell Jessie that I award her first place!
Love,Cheryl
Totally love the poem – such insight.
what a clever idea!
Dawn – Jessie poems was GREAT! how refreshing.
Very simple, but yet thought pondering to stop if just for a moment to let the words actually sink in. Awesome job Jessie!
Your card is definately creative to say the least.
Dawn,
Sorry I never checked in yesterday – so sorry you were sick. I think Jessie’s poem is wonderful. I think it should be added to one of your cards!
Barb
It’s like something Carl Sandburg would write.
Hi Dawn,
It has been awhile since I have last visited your blog. I love the little Ant card that you made. You are such a creative woman. Your daughters poem is wonderful! Looks as though she has talent in writing poetry. And I agree with you some glitter would have been great with this poem.
