I wanted to share with you this really cute invite I made the other night .. and of course I DO NOT have a BBQ party planned any time soon.( I wish ) Just thought it was cute and since I have been smelling the BBQ grills cooking around our neighborhood this past weekend made me want to make this card .. It is a tri fold of sorts I guess you could say 
I have attached photos of each step of this card as you open it and here are the measurements .Your basic base card ( real red ) measures 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 ( your base card will open from the left) the top black mat size measures 4 1/4 X 3 3/4 on the 4 1/4 " side score at 1/4 " this will be where you will apply the sticky strip to and wrap around to back side of your base card . That’s it in a nut shell .. Now you go make one of your own .. I actually have this template made up with no stamping images on the card just 2 pieces of card stock made into this template write your measurements on the back side and you will always have a quick reference for a quick cute card for any occasion .. I received 12 different templates similar to this one a few years ago from the Holland stampin seminar I attended and I have always loved these cute and simple templates .. and so will you ..
I thought it was time again to brush the dust off these cute templates and make a few of them with updated sets. Even though this BBQ set is long gone ..I still think of it as new since It has hardly been used, But is still a keeper in my book .. Now if I could only find a way to add the scratch and sniff of a BBQ grill cooking , THEN I think the card would be totally AWESOME Don’t you ?Great news hubby started receiving his mail yesterday ( OK actually it was His Thursday MY Wednesday ( yesterday ) Is that confusing or what ? Especially now that he is working midnights OH boy . I was really beginning to get concerned with that whole issue with him not getting his mail ya know .. HELLLLOOOOOO I am getting ready to send him a ton of cards and the last thing we need is to have them lost over the Atlantic or Indian Ocean some where .. Now we can NOT have that one little bit .. sooo this was really wonderful news I got last night from hubby that he is getting his mail now ..YIPPY! Apparently the post man over there was on his RR leave back home in the US sooo that was the reason for the hold up ..
I have been trying to get a few things stamped ahead of time before my knee replacement surgery on the 10th since I will not be able to go down stairs to my stampin room for awhile I figured I would try to stock pile a few things that will tie us all over during this down time thats approaching very quickly I might add YIKES!! 
Flash backs are suddenly appearing alot more frequently If your pickin up what I laying down ? Hee! Hee!

Did you all see LOST last night ? Oh my !! What Sun is going to die now in 2 months ?, Jin is the baby’s father , Who is that woman that fell from the sky? She said they found the plane and there were NO survivors WHAT IS GOING ON ????… Good’O Juliette is up to her tricks again with Ben cause she is leaving secret messages for him , even though she did say she hated Him .. and didn’t the eye patch guy die a couple shows back ??HUUMMMM Just more questions to make it more Twisted HUH? Isn’t it GREAT though ? gotta love LOST!

Yes that is a cute set since I used it on my never ending calendar which I showed my dh Brownie Troop Leader last night when we were all making cards for that poor little sick boy in Canada that everyone is posting about to reach his goal before he dies. And, of course we made some cards for the troops in Iraq as well. It’s so amazing the out pour of support when you ask a child to help in such great causes.
