Most of you already know what has been going on if you follow me on Facebook .
I posted this past Wednesday morning on Face book that my Daughter was in a what we thought was a 5 car accident on her way to school driving my Grand prix But it turns out it was a 6 car accident . The 1st driver drove off .
She is fine Praising God for that .
We found out ( yesterday ) Friday that my car is totalled . I have since went and got everything out of my car and got the police report and also called and set up a court date for Jess since she was the last car in this 6 car accident she was the one that got a ticket .
The officer told us to go to court to fight the ticket so we are just waiting now for everything to fall in place as of right now .
The accident started with the 1st car that just stopped in the middle of the road for no apparent reason at all and well from there 5 cars crashed .
Jessie was seriously 1 min from her school and of course I have thoughts running though my mind "If only she ate her breakfast a little slower that morning ect… But I know what is done … is done , But I guess thinking like that is only human nature ..
I am sorry if you have emailed me over this last week and have not heard back from me I have not been on my computer much and or stamping since all this happened .
My goal today is to get into my stamping room to have some fun & make a new video for you this up coming week .
Here is the Truck that is on the tow truck with our car in the photo above. This truck belongs to the family of 2 of the students that goes to Jessie's school also and are friends with Jessie. They were the 4th vehicle in this accident and I wanted to show you their truck . In total there were 2 trucks /2 cars/ jeep / and our car in this accident .
When I arrived to the sceen of the accident I noticed the Sunroof on my car was opened and thought that was weird since it was raining out that morning and thought~ I wonder why Jessie had the sunroof opend BUT I soon found out that she didn't have it opened it was opened from when both air bags deployed and the pressure pushed it open
I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for my Jessie and my family as we deal with situation at this time .
We are all Praising God that Jessie and everyone in the accident are fine!
God is So AWESOME!!!

Dawn
I hope Jesse is ok. By the looks of the vehicles involved all have many bruises. I am sure that you were terrified,as any mother would be, when they get a call like that. You take care of your girl and know that we are all thinking and praying for you. Take the weekend off, you deserve it…rest!
Thoughts & Prayers
Sheila
Dawn
May god bless you and your family, I hope everything is going to be ok, i am glad she is doing fing… Take care
Oh my, Dawn!!! I know EXACTLY how you feel because my daughter was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago….only in Germany and I couldn’t be with her! Your poor mind goes over and over the “what ifs” and all you can do is be so grateful they are still alive and thank God!!
I’m glad Jessie is ok. Hang in there Mama!!!! It’s going to be ok now.
Very scary!! I know exactly what you are going through! My son had his license for two weeks when he totalled our truck. He hit a tree head on – Thank God he was okay and no other cars were involved. Your family is in my thoughts a prayers!!
Dawn,
I have been following your blog for some time now and you have always been an inspiration to me. I hope Jesse is ok (not just physically, but emotionally too).
God Bless you and your family!!!!
Dawn: I am so relieved to hear that Jesse is okay and probably has more bruises on her than you or she cares to look at. Can’t even image how shook-up she must be feeling – remind her that accidents happen and to be good to herself.
And it is only normal for (especially) a mom to second think the “What-If” situations…..You be good to yourself and enbrace your daughter and the blessings that she is okay and the worse is over.
Hugs to you and Jesse. (PS – can’t even image how helpless your hubby must feel over this – so far away ……. but I’m sure his support is giving you strength.) Kadie
I am so thankful Jess is fine. I can only imagine what you both are going through right now but the main thing is you’re both ok and together. Remeber God is complete control and He loves you both.
Here is a big (((((squeeze))))) from me to you.
Oh Dawn…my thoughts and prayers have been with you all week. Having raised 4 children, I have been in this situation before, and it is very scary. The good news is that Jessie is OK–the rest will all fall into place. Lots of hugs!!!
It sounds strange Dawn but God’s perfect timing is in this accident. For what reason you two don’t know as of yet but the others are right…God is in control (as you know) and has all of the details already worked out. HUGS to you both!
So scary! I’m so glad that it was just the cars that were mangled. Thank goodness for God’s tender mercies!
Good luck with fighting that ticket and I hope that all works out.
Kristi
So glad everyone is ok but still scarey as a mom..Hope things turn out good for you in court..God Bless
Kepping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you Father that none of your children were hurt in this accident.
Dawn, First let me say I am glad your daughter wasn’t hurt. I was a California Highway patrol officer for 16years and have investigating hundreds of rear end collisions. You said your daughter was the last car involved. Which may indicate that this entire crash will be written up as her fault. Just by looking at the pictures and the damage done to the 4th car it appears to me that this probably was more than one crash. Alot of times these rear end collision are really two or three crashes that happen very quickly and if not investigate correctly the last car gets blamed for the whole thing. I personally think the 4th car hit the 3rd car before your daughter hit the 5th car. Be sure to check the report carefully and question it if your daughter is being blamed for the whole thing.
So glad Jessie was not injured. I was in a similar accident last year, and as I worked through all the ensuing red tape, paperwork, etc., I kept reminding myself that it’s not the “Why” we have to know, it’s the “Who”–and He IS in control. I still have no idea why my accident happened (and probably never will)but I finally came to the conclusion that God is always at work in the lives of those He loves…in mysterious ways!
Dawn, I’m so happy Jesse is ok and I’m sure you had a horrible week. I hope all goes well and my thoughts & prayers are with you all.
Thank goodness her guardian angel was watching over her! Thoughts and prayers to your family.
I know how you are feeling and so glad that Jesse and all the others are doing well. When mine were at this stage I was always counting the min. until home. Praying for all of you. We can always relplace the car!
God Bless, Konnie
I am glad that everyone is okay, car can be replaced. I have been in your places, about eight years ago, and my daughter was senior, about five week from graduation. She had three other people in the car, and icey road made her lose control and go over a bank. Thank god they all lived to tell about it. My thoughts and prayer are with you and the other families.
Dawn I was so sorry to hear about Jessie’ accident. I sure hope she doesn’t have any ill effects from it later. My thoughts and prayers are with both Jessie and you.
Much love, Lois
oh wow! How frightening! But I’m so glad that Jessie (and everyone else) were not hurt. I hope that the truth of the matter finds its way to the surface & that this accident is resolved. Blessings & Hugs to you 🙂
Dawn, I’m glad jesse and everyone else is OK. As a mother also, this is a scary time. I hope that things go well and Jesse comes out on top!!
Janet
I’m so glad to hear your daughter is fine. A car can be replaced…she cannot! The Lord was with her that day for sure! I hope court goes your way – it is stupid that she even gets a ticket. That is what is messed up with our legal system.
So glad she is fine!!!! Blessings!!!
When I saw those pictures, my heart dropped. I just knew there had to be some serious injuries. God is so gracious and merciful! May He hold your hand and Jessie’s hand as He leads you through the legal process that awaits. I rejoice with you that no one was hurt!
Dawn, I think all car accidents are a parents worse nightmare. Thankfully Jess is okay. I hope all goes well for her with the law and she has no ill effects in the future. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Marls
consider yourself and Jessie “hugged” Glad everyong is ok.
Love and hugs to your family and all those in the accident. Glad Jesse was not seriously injured.
I am so glad to hear that your daughter is OK.
So glad that Jessie is ok…you are all in my prayers.
Blessings-
Pam
Dawn,
Be so thankful only the vehicles were damaged as they can be replaced. Reading stamper’s blogs make me feel like we’re all one big happy family. It’s wonderful to read about all the great support you’ve received already. We’ll keep you in our prayers and hope for the best outcome possible in court. Take care!
My prayers go out to you. So glad to hear Jessie was OK. Cars can be replaced but our babies cannot. My daughter was in two car wrecks as a teenager…I pray the Lord will give you strength and patience as you go through all the insurance stuff, car replacing, court, and everthing else you’ll be dealing with over the next several months and beyond. {{{HUGS}}}
Sherri aka sherristampsalot
Thank God Jesse is ok. I heard a Driver’s Ed instructor say the other day “it’s not IF your teenager will get in an accident, it’s WHEN”.
Scary, but true. My son has been in two accidents – fender benders that were his fault – but scary and a pain in the butt.
I am so thankful your daughter is ok but sorry that she was the one to get the ticket. Hang in there – this too shall pass!
My Goodness dear Dawn,
What a terrible thing happend in your family.
I hope Jess is feeling better right now.
And is a little bit over the shock.
What a bad thing that the 1st car just stopped with driving.
And what horrible is it then that the last car is getting the blame.
I pray for you all that everything will be better and that they will get the person of the first car for the whole situation.
Off course you think what if….over the whole morning.
But gladly you realise that won’t help.
Eventhough this all has happend i really hope you have a fine weekend and some sleep too.
I’m very glad that Jess is okay. I understood your feeling. Same as my son when he was her age when he had car accident. His car was totally damaged. Just very thankful for Jess.
You must have been a mess when you got that call. I’m so glad that Jessie was OK & not badly hurt, she had her Angels with her that day. I don’t understand why she would get a ticket & not the first driver, (such crazy laws in each state) well I hope all works out for both of you in court, my prayers will be with you both.
So sorry about Jesse accident but it is wonderful that she is O.K. and everyone else involved in the accident. All of the cars look like they were damaged alot. I hope all works out for you and her since she is the one that received the ticket. Take care and my prayers are with you.
Linda D.
Oh MY! I’m so happy to hear and see that Jessie is just fine. God bless you guys. And you’ll be fine in court.
Thank God Jessie if fine my prayers are with you from Jersey UK
Don’t what if yourself . . . at least Jessie is okay. The car can be replaced, ‘ya know? Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Take care of your family first . . .
You and Jess are in my prayers.
How awful for all concerned. Jess must have had a Guardian Angel watching over her. But sometimes things will show up later from a car accidentl I am sure you will be keeping an eye on her. God Bless, Hugs n’ Stuff, Lynne
Oh my – the pics are just terrible – glad everyone is ok – you really never know…..
scary for both you and Jessie
you are both in my prayers
Judy
Dawn, oh my gosh, it scares me to see these photos. So happy to hear Jesse is o.k., as well as the other people involved. Accidents are such a scary thing. I’ve been involved in several. I have a 16- year old daughter who still doesn’t have her license. She is actually pretty afraid of driving and is not in a rush to drive by herself and that is fine by me. She will drive when she is ready. She has her permit but I am a paranoid/nervous/back seat driver mother when I have taken her out (only in the school parking lot because I’m afraid of going on the road). She’s had some behind the wheel training with a driving school and has gone out with my husband, but she is still not comfortable. Again, so glad Jesse is o.k.
Dawn,
I am so glad to hear everyone is ok. I know how terrified you must have felt when you got the call, my son was in an accident a few months back and flipped his vehicle, I was working at the time when I got the call. Thank God he was okay. I still get nervous when he leaves the house in his car. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Evelyn
Wow what a wreck So Glad Jesse is ok
My Dad always told use when we were in a wreck that you can always replace metal but we couldn’t replace you or a body part..Thank God She’s ok but I bet she was sore..
Belinda
Dawn, I’m so sorry this has happened, but so glad that she wasn’t hurt. It’s amazing, isn’t it! Her guardian angels were definitely along for the ride! I hope you’re doing well — it must have been a heart-stopping moment for you as a mom!
How scary!!! Sorry to hear about this accident. :o( I am glad to hear that not only Jessie, but everyone involved was fine. Everyone is very lucky judging by the pics! Take care and best of luck getting this sorted out! Your family is in my prayers. :o)
Sure strange that she’s the one who got the ticket – I’d have issues with the guy who stopped in front of everyone! I hope everything works out well in the end.
Oh my goodness . . . I hadn’t checked your blog in a while being so busy and I see I’ve missed some news! Praise God that no one was injured. My prayers and hugs to you and Jesse – I’m sure that this will take a while to get all straightened out, but patience and persistence will win out in the end.
Kay
Such a shock to all of you – so glad your daughter is ok Dawn – hug the ones you love x
Poor Jessie…Heather has had three accidents since she got her license 18 months ago, none of which were her fault. Getting back into the car each time took loads of courage. I wish Jessie all the courage and safety in the world….
I’m so glad to hear that Jessie is alright. I love your blog and wish the best for you and your family.
Oh, I know how she feels! I totaled my mom’s GTO not long after I got my license! Poor kid! I hope she is not too shaken up! Blessings to you.
