Happy New Year friends !
Its always so exciting starting a new year I just need to remember what year I am in when writting checks . I seem to write the previous year for at least 1-2 months seems its just out of habbit But still eeerrrrr...
I wanted to show you all the portrait our friend Karen painted of Jessie's Senior picture they gave us for Christmas this year . WOWZIE what a fabulous job she did and it will be a treasure for many many years . I have heard painting faces is the hardest thing to master and Karen did a Wonderful job .

I guess it's time to share with you ( if you want to take a look that is ...) The cut my hubby got on his head a couple months back where he needed 14 staples .
I am sure you will be grabbing your head and saying OUCH to yourself when you see the photos ..
Beware photos are not for the squimish. Trust me It took me a long time to be able to look at them since I didn't even look at it when he did it all I needed to know was there was ALOT of blood and that's all I needed to see to know it was bad .

Speaking of hubby He took his Harley out for a spin yesterday ( 1st ride of the new year LOL ) it reached 45 degrees here in Michigan and all the snow is gone in our yard Plus the streets were dry . By the way the new pipes sound AWESOME!!
Next week I will be heading to Nashville TN. for SU! Leadership seminar and I am sooo excited . I will show you my swaps later .
Tomorrow is my Moms Birthday and Wednesday is my Birthday . YAHOO! Happy Early Birthday Mom~ I Love you !

hmmnn ... strange coincidences - I live in Michigan also (the Flint area), my Mom's b'day is today, and yes, it's all about purple, isn't it?! I agree! It's my fav color too!
GREAT painting of your daughter; at first glance I thought it was just an enlargement of the original picture!

I love the card and the painting of your daughter. that is one great painting and she did a wonderful job. faces are hard to do even if you draw. I looked at the pics of hubbys head and the staples also. not bad considering. too bad they didn't put in desolveing stitches instead. I had 16 stitches on my mouth when i had a fight the concret step. I know how he feels. happy new year to you all.
