Hi Stampers :
Happy Sunday friends !
Today I am going to church by myself … Why you ask ? Well Hubby is taking a few of our kids from youth group to Biker Sunday at a near by church.
It is so amazing . I have never attended ( maybe next year ) but the stories hubby tells me when he comes home from the all day event are just AWESOME!
Big Burly guys accepting the Lord as their Savior/ Sharing their Testimonies how God has changed them … Well lets just say I would be crying all day & have puffy red eyes.
On a side note since opening up our pool we have had so many critters end up in our pool ~ most of the time they die.
(1) Chipmunk , (1) Bird, and lots of frogs I told my hubby the last time I scooped out (3) frogs ( at least those were still alive ) that we should get a lily pad for them ( I was joking of course).
Fast forward to this past Friday night… Hubby had set up our robot vacume to clean pool and I woke up to this Saturday morning .
(4) frogs sitting on what I will call their new lily pad AKA vacume hose .. Oh my goodness to funny .
Any ideas how to keep these critters out of our pool ? We will be hopefully adding a small screen around the base of the pool fence . But other than that I have no idea what else we can do .
Would love to hear any ideas you may have .
Thanks in advance !
Here is my Sunday Share . I know I shared this one with you a little while back BUT since we are taking about pool stuff thought it would be fun to share it again .
Have a Wonderful Sunday friends !
Until later.. Happy Stampin!

Good luck on keeping them out. We have a hot tub with a cover. And the tree frogs still sneak in. We use to have a pool years ago. But I don’t ever remember having any critters in it. Surprising seeing we’re out in the boonies surrounded by wild life. Love it though 🙂
Hi Dawn,
We have the same critter problem in our pool but we have snakes, voles (tiny little cuties), lizards and frogs. I do get the frogs out alive ~ quite a fun task as they are so fast. I go out first thing in the morning to check and many times I find “live” critters to rescue. Other than that, I have no idea how to stop them from “diving in” the pool. Your screen on the fence should help !!
Happy Sunday
EEEEEEWWWW!!!!!!!! I’m not into Frogs either!!!!!!! LOL Have NO IDEA how to keep them out! Your hubbys’ church experience sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Hey Dawn,
If you could leave a couple boards or something flat that critters could grab hold of to crawl back out it’s helpful. They just need some way to get to the edge. They get tired trying to swim to keep their head above water. Even some type of net or anything they can grab hold of to climb back out. Poor little things : (
OH MY GOSH Dawn…..I live in Arizona and it’s just normal if I don’t have at least two sets of frogs MATING in my pool and several Pack Rats in my pool every season. I’m lucky enough to get the little buggers out before they finish their mating or decide to leave their babies behind. I actually did have a Pack Rat sucked up by our filter and he created a real mess trying to get him out – OH MY GOSH (I can still remember having nightmares over that one)! Short of putting a screen over the entire pool – I’m thinking you might just have to live with this one. Happy Scooping My Friend!
Yes, I have heard you get rope long enough to drop into water and also be able to lay on top of concrete with something heavy like a brick on top, something heavy enough so when they grab it to pull out of the water the brick or whatever you use won’t fall in the water too. Place several of these around pool. Sure hope this works. We don’t have a pool now, but sure would have use it had I known.

By the way I come to your blog all the time. LOVE IT!!!!
My daughter called and said this is the first year they’ve had problems with ‘unwanted” visitors in the pool. They’ve had two mice (drowned), a pair of ducks and a turtle! They had an opossum at the pools edge, but don’t think he went for a swim! How funny.
I Love the “Lilly pads” – at least alive frogs are better to get out the water than dead ones. Thank you for all you do, I check your website EVERYDAY – and LOVE your work. Thank you Thank You Thank You
One year my MIL and her friends came to visit and used the pool while we were at work. When we got home she told us how the poor frogs kept getting on the hose that was in the pool so they kept taking them off the hose and putting them back in the water. It never occured to them that the frogs were trying to get out of the water. She really thought she was helping them by putting them back in the pool.
